  • Can you tell the boss is out today

    Good Morning Everyone,

Gee I'm so freakin busy I had no time yesterday to get in here waaaaaaaaaah. I miss not posting here every day. My day's just not complete if I don't. Almost like forgetting to take your vitamin.

So whats new? Noddaaaa here SOSDD. Gracie has to go to the doctor for her check up and I think 2 shots. Eeeek thats why Hubby takes her I just can do the dirty deed. I'll clean the poopie diapers and he can take her for her shots....seems fair to me

I cut the top of my hair just a wee bit short yesterday, now I have Alfalfa's sticking up all over the place haaaaaaaaaaaa.

I put a recent pic of Miss Gracie in the LC section under today's date.

Have a wonderful day.......Linny how was your purrrrrfish ?

    Love, Leens

    Lizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzy chik whazzzzzzzzzzzzz up ?
  • Mornin'
    Hi Leens and lurkers,

Glad you came back today and glad the boss is gone. How long is she out for this time? I bet your hair looks nice, not like alfalfa My hair looks kinda icky today.. last night I was suppose to wash it, but that idea somehow got forgotten.

My purrfish was ok... nothing terrific though. I dont think I'll make this recipe again. I tend to like my fish crunchy and this wasn't. and no I don't want to burn it to a crisp to make it crunchy... I'll leave the burning of food to Lizzy Last night, I made the most amazing thing. It is called Mock Mashed Potatoes. I was really unsure of how this would taste, but man was I pleasantly suprised.. WOW. Here is the recipe. I swear this tasted so much like mashed potatoes.. and I really thought it wouldn't. I used fat free sour cream in this dish instead of full fat and Brummel and Brown Spread instead of butter. If it tastes too much like cauliflower for you, add another TB of fat free sour cream.. it really makes a difference.

    Ingredients
    2 cups cauliflower, finely chopped
1 tablespoon sour cream, or more to taste
    1 tablespoon butter
    salt and pepper to taste

    Directions
1 Steam or microwave cauliflower until very soft. Make sure you drain the cauliflower really really well. I drained mine then placed it on paper towles to soak up more water.

2 Put cauliflower in blender or food processor with butter and sour cream, blend.
3 Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.

    Editor's Notes:

    Frozen cauliflower works very well.

Grated cheese, minced chives and/or parsley are nice variations to add. Hand mix these in after blending the cauliflower.

I had this, the rest of my sour cream chicken and some grilled squash for dinner.. yumyumyum. Tonight is probably purrfish , mock mashed taters, and grilled zucs.

1 more day one more day!!!

Hope some of you check in.. that is what the daily is for.
  • Hey Linny, I love cauliflower mmmmmmmmmmmmm I have to give that a try some day mmmmmmmmm you know whats good too. turnups but you need bacon for that lol.

Today the girls here are ordering our for lunch - chinese mmmm I ordered beef & mushrooms w/white rice instead of fried. and of course hot & sour soup mmmmmmmmmmmm.

Boss is only gone today, tomorrow afternoon and then again next week Mon & Tues, but back on weds....well i have a ton of work and can't really have fun oh well at least I'll be stewing by myself lol.

    Have Fun !
Hey did you go to the dr ?
  • HEY LINNIE!!!!!

    Liz
  • Hello Liz, Linda, Leens, (I need to change my name to an L name, maybe "Leg") and hello to everyone else.

Just wanted to say hi!!! Just did the treadmill for 40 minutes and the Total gym for 20 minutes more...wish it would show!!!!! I do feel better, so I guess I am making some progress. I'll be back on track next week. Shower is Saturday and yes I am still cooking. The running around part is all done, so now I just got to get organized.

I didn't find a dress for the shower, but I had one in the closet that will work. Long sleeves though. Oh well, at least it hides the arms LOL. After this week I will be on the hunt for dress for wedding. Sent for three on line...one was too big, one was too cheap looking and one was ok. Haven't seen anything in Stores that I like. Might have to take a trip into Boston.

Well, have a good one...I need to go do something.

    Meg

Lizzie...you go girl!!!!!! Everything sounds so good.

Linda the cauliflower recipe sounds great! By the way, I am making the orzo salad tomorrow morning, or if you see this, let me know if I should make it tonight instead for Saturday. Thanks~~~~~~"little" old me

Leens, I like spiky hair, it's funky!!!! Gracie is adorable!!!!!
  • Hi Leg!

    Liz
  • Hi Leggy Meggy
Meg meg.. where have you been? I have had only Lizzy to torment lately. And when are you coming to chat???

Plan on making the salad at least 24 hours in advance, in my opinion. The flavors needed to time to meld and mellow. If you want to make it tonight or tomorrow, it shouldn't matter much.

Good for you for doing your exercises. Unfortunately, it takes more than one workout for it to show.. rats phooey darnit!! I am done with my exercises for the week, so tomorrow is my free day!! yipeeee. Saturday is drudgery day with digging and sweating in the yard. Then Sunday, my exercise week starts back up again. I don't mind.. one more week until my 9 day vacation. My contract has been extended again, so I am here through July. I finally finally got some intersting stuff to do today.. analysis work, which is what I normally do instead of this credit/collections stuff. Hope I get more of same.. I dropped a few hints with one of my bosses that I am having a little down time.
  • Thanks Linda for letting me know about the salad.

Was that a wise crack about the exercise???? I meant I'll be back on track with posting!!!!! I've been exercising faithfully for the last 8 weeks I want some results!!!! lol

Have to run, timer just went off on stove.

Have a great Friday and weekend everyone.
