Amarie, I SO need to clean and de-fur my house. My 2 puppies are fur machines! I didn't get in any cleaning yesterday when I was off. I keep thinking however that my bedspread is too furry to lay anything on it then I remember that my cat is still lost :( so there is no fur there anymore.

Yesterday I went to a pampered chef party and spent too much $$ but it was fun. After that I went to the grocery store and made 155 meatballs for a potluck that is tomorrow. I knew after getting off at 8pm tonight I wouldn't feel like doing it.

Gotta run...

Kittenpants 06-15-2009 01:11 AM

I am feeling really really bummed out right now. I'm so stressed with school and money concerns. My sleep schedule is off. My husband is injured. Also, I gained 20 pounds in the past year. And to top it all off, I just feel like I have no friends. Blah. Just needed to get that off my chest.

Sassy_Chick 06-15-2009 01:39 AM

Hope -- Big  so sorry you haven't found your kitty yet. Have you asked your neighbors, put up signs, put an ad in the paper? Just trying to think. I know it is difficult wondering where they are, etc. Pampered chef is cool. Meatballs......mmmm yummy.

Kittenpants -- Hi and :welcome3: to our thread. Sorry you are feeling bummed. It is very difficult with money problems and your husband being injured. But you came to the right place. Feel free to get whatever you need off of your chest.

HeatherAngel 06-15-2009 06:54 AM

Morning - just to say  and I am alive -!

Chat soon, chicks ;)

Amarie2pt0 06-15-2009 02:35 PM

Heya all -

Hopey - lol defurr the house indeed. I know exactly what you mean - my beadspread is the same way. I take clean laundry in to put away, and don't feel like I have a place to set it! I am sorry about your cat, love.

Kittenpants - hi and Welcome. It does all seem to come in waves doesn't it? Sorry you are feeling in such a tight spot right now, and if you are looking for a good group of forum friends who you can get things off your chest to and know they will care, you've come to the right place!

Everyone else - :grouphug: I gotta run, so much to do today. I'm going to be house-sitting for a couple weeks starting today, and I don't even know if there's internet there. I might be awol again for a bit.

Take Care,
A

buddly 06-15-2009 06:56 PM

Hi everyone,

Welcome Kittenpants this is a great little corner. So sorry to hear about your stresses and hubby's injury. That has been one of my fears since he's the main breadwinner so to speak.

Hope, wowzers 155 meatballs that must have taken you quite awhile. I haven't been to a pampered chief party in ages, its easy to spend to much.

Heather glad you are still alive!! That is always a good start.

Sassy are you still walking at work?

amarie have fun house sitting.

Feeling yucky today. Not sure what the problem is. Went to the doc's today and he gave me the option of getting off of the wellbutrin, but I'm not sure that is a good idea just yet. I am just so unhappy right now and have no idea why or what to change to get over it. Oh well, just keep plugging along and something will happen I'm sure.
It feels like summer, so that's really nice. Today is DdC's last day at school, she just has one exam on Wed and she's done until Sept. DdB starts her training at A&W on Thurs and DdC has an interview this afternoon. As I said things should be good.

Anyway take care everyone and I hope you have a great week.
K

Sassy_Chick 06-15-2009 08:55 PM

Hi Everyone!

I hope your all doing well!!

hope4me 06-15-2009 11:23 PM

Hi all,

I have been so annoyed all day. I've been off my celexa for three days (just couldn't get by the pharmacy) and I'm about to start my period any time now. Those two things are bad enough but we just had an unusually busy and strange day. After work I met dh at chili's for a drink, where I decided to stick with water, and there was so much noise I couldn't relax. Then he tells me we need to go to the hospital where an aquaintence was having surgery. I have nothing against being supportive but the last thing I wanted to do was go anywhere but home. We just got here around 10:30pm.
I'm exhausted and glad the day is over. [note to self: don't run out of celexa! you never know what the day will bring ;)]

Buddly, if you stop the welbutrin will you start something else? May be worth a shot? You've been down now for quite sometime right? They tried my on celexa since I have some anxiety as well. Have you tried that?

Amarie, good to see you. Hopefully you will have internet access where you will be staying. Are you out for the summer?

Sassy, have you still been walking? I've kinda slacked off this week. :(

buddly 06-16-2009 01:17 AM

Hey there Hope, I sure hope tomorrow is a better day for you.
I'm on celexa as well as the wellbutrin. The wellbutrin wasn't addressing the anxiety. And it sounded like I had the option of just dropping the wellbutrin and not replacing it with anything but I really don't think I can do this completely on my own just yet. I did walk for an hour while DdC was in judo tonight, didn't help as much as I had hoped, but I did get a lot of fresh air, the lilacs were lovely though.
Take care,
K

Sassy_Chick 06-16-2009 03:03 AM

Hola.

Hope -- I am wishing you a great day today and the rest of the week! Yes I have been walking. On my lunch every night. Sometimes its longer and sometimes its shorter, but I always walk. I figured if it was a "habit" then it is easier to stick with and so far I have been! ;)

Hi Buddly -- I'm on Wellbutrin too. I've been on it for a long time...........Sometimes I wonder if it is really helping because sometimes I just get SO angry and I have no idea why? Maybe I will discuss it with my dr.

HeatherAngel 06-16-2009 08:07 PM

Hey chickies - I'm doing okay :) Having a love affair with salad at the moment - with slivered almonds, feta cheese, strawberries and lemon-poppyseed dressing - YUM! That makes it easy to stay on plan, I tell ya!! ;) Sometimes I even add grilled chicken... oh, now I want more! :lol3:

I have some surgery booked for 2nd July... kind of scared to tell ya'll, in case you don't approve!

Hope you're all hanging in there.

Heather :D

Sassy_Chick 06-16-2009 10:23 PM

Hello.

UGH I feel like a sponge that has been squeezed out multiple multiple times......:p I got to work, ate my dinner, which wasn't the best of choices I'll admit, but still nothing major.......well after I um "got rid of it" all in the bathroom.........:barf: Yay. Soooooo here I am at work, can't go home because my coworker is leaving early and already made the babysitting arrangements, so oh well, I'll live. :lol3:

Heather -- Hey chick. Normally your salad would sound good, but right now food doesn't sound good at all. lol. What kind of surgery are you having?? I hope all goes well!

Big

hope4me 06-16-2009 11:09 PM

Ok Heather, you peaked my curiosity! I'm assuming that since it's something one may or may not approve of it must be cosmetic? If so I say 'you go girl'! Anything that makes you feel better about yourself I'm all for. If it's something else, you and/or your dr must feel it's necessary so you have my support. I wish I could do a few adjustments myself. ;)

My mood was better today even though TOM arrived. Ahh the magic of celexa! I get to sleep in tomorrow too. Can't ask for more than that.

Sassy, sorry you got sick. Hope you feel better.

Buddly, I'm surprised they just want to remove a med and not add or change one. Strange. Sorry you are having a hard time still. Exercise usually does help.

hope4me 06-17-2009 11:44 PM

Where are my chicks? :(

I finally got a workout in today after about a week of nothing. I was doing about 3-4 days a week which I can live with but once a week needs to improve if I'm going to change my health for the better. My eating was pretty bad since TOM brought the usual cravings. Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

What's up with everybody else?

buddly 06-18-2009 02:06 AM

Hi Hope!
Congrats on the workout. I went for a 30 min walk with the dog this morning. Figured it was our last trip to the bus until Sept I should make the most of it.
Not much new here.
Take care,
K

HeatherAngel 06-18-2009 06:59 AM

Hi chicks!

I'm really on track again - thank goodness! - and no longer feel guilty about my ticker - I'm almost back at that weight! ;-) Funny the silly games I play with myself - did not moving my ticker make me think I HADN'T gained 30lbs in five weeks??

As for surgery - yes, Hope, I realised that it's now or never, really. The hardest part is trying to wrap my head around the fact I won't ever have children now... weird. But, at 40, getting divorced... it's not very likely. Maybe I'll be able to adopt... I am having a tummy tuck and my boobs lifted and augmented on July 2nd. I'm excited (and scared!) so hat convinces me I am doing it for the right reasons... and yes, those who know me will know I wondered if I was doing it for someone else. A little bit, sure, but that's insanity.

Anyway - how's everyone doing? Lots of needed rain here, nearly done school for the year, not exercising enough! Same old same old - :lol3:

Heather :D

Leenie 06-18-2009 08:53 AM

Oh Heather, thats exciting, I'm so happy for you !!! whoot  Your beautiful NOW.... and after surgery your going to be glowing b/c your going to feel so good about yourself.. you go girl  Picture please :D

Hi girls.... nothing new.. just feeling soggy from all this rain... depressing to.

Oh well, gotta surf the boards for a few seconds and back to work.

.

hope4me 06-18-2009 07:04 PM

Ooohh Heather, I'm soo jealous! I would love to have that done! I say good for you! Yes, you should definitely do pictures, if you wouldn't mind that is. :)

Gotta run for now, be back later.

buddly 06-19-2009 02:36 AM

Good for you Heather!! Those are the two surgeries I'd love to have done as well.

Not much new here. Worked today and boy was it a day. Little challenges all over the place!! Sure hope tomorrow is a little smoother.

Hope everyone has a great Friday and weekend.
Take care all,
K

HeatherAngel 06-19-2009 08:31 AM

Aww thanks, girls! :grouphug: I'm nervous, but excited :)

How's everyone today? It's FRIDAY!! :)

Leenie 06-20-2009 07:31 AM

Heather please remind us when the big day comes... I get major brain farts with my old age and can't remember anything anymore or is it that I have so much to remember my pea brain can't retain it all  oh well, either or, please remind us so we can say a prayer for you.

Its saturday !!!! whooot.. first weekend in ages I have no where to run to... :D and loving it.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Leenie

HeatherAngel 06-20-2009 02:35 PM

I will, Leenie - it's July 2nd... but I'll remind you again! ;)

I'm having a really nice weekend, despite the rain - finishing up some exam marking, calculating final grades, doing reports - doesn't sound like fun, but it's productive! I've rented myself 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' and plan to curl up in a big, comfy chair and just enjoy it this evening.

I need a little 'Heather Time' and this is it :) I'm eating well, weight is dropping, I'm getting ready for that surgery... life is pretty good here, folks. Sending hugs and good vibes to all who need them!

How ya'll doing??

Heather :D

buddly 06-20-2009 04:16 PM

Hi everyone

Heather I'm so happy to hear things are going so well right now, gives me some hope. Enjoy your movie and weekend.

Leenie I hope you enjoy your weekend at home as well.

And I really hope everyone else is having a good weekend.

Still not much new around here. We are having all sorts of weather today so I'm hoping to get some decluttering done in the house, oh, and I have to put some "natural" colour in my hair ;) Things are busy with DdA and DdB both working different times, thankfully we have the second vehicle now. Right now I'm waiting for laundry to get DdB's uniform. Problem with one uniform and working two days in a row. Oh well, its all good.
Should get going so I can say I did something.

Take care everyone:grouphug:
K

hope4me 06-20-2009 09:02 PM

Heather, I loved that movie! Let me know what you think.

OOPS-gotta run, be back!

Leenie 06-21-2009 08:57 AM

Good Morning,

Happy Fathers Day to all of you. My dad passed in 1984, a very young 54 years old. He was the best !! So I celebrate in my heart today with him. I'm just greatful that my Heavenly Father promised I would one day see him again.

DD has a fever so we won't be going to church or to FIL's house to visit today. FIL is now under Hospice care... has not been easy for them.

Its still raining and soggy out.. oy.. where is summer? lol

Well girls, you all have a wonderful weekend (whats left)

Leenie

HeatherAngel 06-21-2009 01:35 PM

Hope, I LOVED it :)

Buddly, hang in there - the dark days pass... it's easy to remember when I'm 'up', and almost impossible to see when I'm 'down'... thinking of you

Leenie - hope your daughter feels better!!

How's everyone else? First day of summer, and the weather here has decided to cooperate! Yay!

Heather :D

hope4me 06-22-2009 01:04 AM

Heather, I'm glad you are having some good days. You deserve it, you've worked so hard to be where you are. :) Glad you liked the movie, I thought it was awesome and a great movie to curl up and watch on a weekend night.

My eating was worse than it has been in a while today: burger and fries for lunch and pizza for dinner. Sounds like the menu that increased my cholesterol 30 points in a year. :fr: Oh, did I mention the chocolate fondue for dessert? :halfempty

Tomorrow (which is the start of a new day I'm reminding myself :)) we are starting a little healthy eating/weight loss competition at work. You get points for drinking water, eating fruits and veggies, and doing 30 minutes of activity. It lasts for eight weeks and whoever loses the most and whoever gets the most points splits the prize. I really need this to keep me on track. I'm usually competitive too so maybe that will help me to do what I need to be doing anyway.

Leenie- I lost my father at a young 52 years old in 2002. I miss him terribly but I try not to dwell on the loss. I'm grateful for having such a great dad for the time I did. Not all are as lucky as we were. I'm also grateful for the same promise. ;) Thank you for reminding me of that today.

Buddly- How are you feeling today? I wish you could get the right meds and begin to feel better soon. How's the decluttering coming? That's what I need to do tomorrow on my day off. Gosh my house is messy and worse yet: furry. :o I'm considering shaving the dogs. They are just fur machines on 4 legs! Oh, and I need to plant my tomato plants. Dh made me a little fenced in garden spot on friday. I just need to put them in the ground. It always sounds easier than it is. Tomatoes are all I'm planting though so maybe I'll survive. ;)

buddly 06-22-2009 02:18 AM

Thanks Hope and Heather.

Today hasn't been to bad. Hubby got the garden rototilled and some of the yard cut. One yucky thing tho, is when DdA got up this morning to go to work at 5:30am low and behold there was a light frost!! Can you imagine that, I'm flabbergasted, anyway it killed most of my little seedlings I had set out to harden up. So tomorrow or tuesday I'll go and see what is left at the nursery. The decluttering is coming along I went through two bins of books and magazines and got it down to one and hubby and I went to the dump and recycling so its gone. I also have a couple of bags of things to donate so its coming, I know I'll feel better when this mess is cleared up. A friend of my daughters has moved back in with us and now we have to deal with all the stuff we had stored in her room so its a disaster around here at the moment.
I started going to a relaxation group thing. Its a 6 week program my counselor put me in, she has me on waiting lists for two other programs as well. I know one is a depression and anxiety group and I can't remember the other one, but I'll at least learn some coping skills so thats all good.

Hope good luck with your decluttering and defurring. With four of us girls, the dog, a cat and a rabbit there is hair in every nook and cranny, yuck.

Its getting late so I'm off.

Take care all,
K

butterflygurl 06-22-2009 08:00 PM

Hi everyone, I know it's been a little while. I haven't had a chance to catch up on all the posts, but I hope you are all doing okay! ;)

hope4me 06-22-2009 10:51 PM

Butterfly, so good to see you again. How have you been? Are you down to your last 15 lbs? That's great if you are! :cp:

I got some cleaning done today although I thought I was going to sleep it away. After sleeping in I ate lunch and then I was so sleepy I almost took a nap. I finally perked up and got started. I washed the dogs, vacuumed, washed the dishes, and did a couple of loads of laundry. Then I did 30 minutes on the ellipticle. :ebike: I have to say I'm impressed with myself. Dont get me wrong, there is a lot more to do but I made a decent dent in it.

Day 1 on my healthy eating challenge went well also. I got my 5 fruit/veggies in and worked out. Say a prayer that I last the whole 8 weeks and then go on from there.

Amarie, how are you doing? We haven't heard much from you lately.

Momof4, have you disappeared again?

Leenie 06-23-2009 10:52 AM

Hi Girls,

DD is doing well... thanks Heather ;)

Hope, my dad passed at the age of 54.. I understand. Yeah on the fruit!! I always find getting back on track the hardest at the 3 or 4th day, thats when I want to go crazy on a bag of chocolates.

 Butterflygurl

Buddly good luck with the hair... between our dogs and us.. my poor vacuum lol. ((((frost  )))

Oh well.....back to the grind, have a wonderful day chickies.

Leenie

hope4me 06-23-2009 10:39 PM

My day is finally over. Yay. I have to say it is so hard to get in 5 fruits and vegetables a day. Does anybody else feel that way? I like almost all fruits/vegs too. It's not that. It just takes a lot of effort and planning. I guess it just slaps me in the face when I try that philly cheese steaks and pizza aren't veggies. :o Not fair! And neither is bread! Darn it!

Where are y'all today? Miss you guys.

HeatherAngel 06-23-2009 10:56 PM

Hope I used to find that too - now I have a banana and blueberries on my morning oatmeal, if I have a Lean Cuisine (or something similar) I will serve it on a big bed of salad. Those 'cheats' work for me! ;) I also try to eat an apple a day.

hope4me 06-23-2009 11:47 PM

Heather I think you are right. Adding fruit to breakfast is the key. I didn't do that today and it was hard. I did eat an apple though. I had bought some in preparation for this as well as some oranges.

jellybellyjen 06-24-2009 03:57 PM

HI GANG:wave:

hope4me 06-24-2009 11:25 PM

Hi ladies,

I got in my fruits and veggies today. I did add fruit to breakfast today Heather, it helped. I snacked on some blueberries tonight. I just wish they weren't so expensive. That goes for all berries unfortunately.

I was supposed to be off today but they called me in to work b/c they were short staffed. I didn't mind since now I'm off on saturday. :) I still made it to my dentist appt. I have to see an oral surgeon b/c I have a wisdom tooth that is exposed that causes me problems off and on and I need an implant on the other side. Can you say second job? Yipes, I dread to see what that will cost.

Jellybelly, wow, that sounds like a tough situation. Keep us posted.

Good night...

Sassy_Chick 06-24-2009 11:33 PM

Hola all.

Well I have been sick all week. :barf: This is my first night back to work......:p

So I haven't read up on all the posts, sorry. I will begin from here.........

I hope you all are well.

Leenie 06-25-2009 10:38 AM

Good Morning,

Sassy girl, feel better.
Jelly...sorry to hear about the party :(

I've been adding more fruit to my day as well. The only thing I noticed is if I eat it at breakfast, I'm starving and looking for food 1 hour later. I can eat it at noon, snack or dinner but for some reason it sets me in the wrong direction in the morning... yeah I'm a strange bird (chick) lol.

I get up about 4:30 - 5:00 AM so for breakfast I've been eating Fiber 1 yogurt at 6:30 AM, then at 9 AM I eat quaker high fiber oatmeal... so far so good !!! it seems to hold me thru the morning with out driving me nuts LOL and its helping on the old tum tum/bum bum ;)

.

marbear24 06-25-2009 11:08 AM

Venting

Good morning. I am a newbie. I posted on the introductions page yesterday, but thought I'd check in here. I was hoping my first post would be happy adn joyous, but I'm just... miffed. So Sorry for the first post being negative, I'll be happy later - I promise! :)

I need to vent :( I've been struggling with my weight forever. For the past month or so I've tried to be really really goo d- and I've lost 3 lbs. My husband doesn't try at all, just stops drinking beer every night and rides a bike once or twice a week - and drops almost 15lbs. I know what he eats, and he's not restricting his calories or anything. Now he weighs the same as me, and it seriously makes me want to cry... It's so discouraging. :(:?:

Blah.

On a brighter note, after I saw his weight this morning I busted my butt on the elliptical way harder than usual and went 1.75 miles farther and only added 10 minutes of time. :carrot:

Hmmm...
