Debbie- I would consider that but don't know what I would take. I have a BS in psych which I have never officially used. In the last 4 years I took the Series 6 & 63, which allows me to sell mutual funds, annuities, retirement plans, etc. I can also sell Life and Health insurance and have a CLTC designation (long term care). I love the financial planning aspect, just not the sales part of it. I wouldn't mind making a salary doing debt counseling, I just don't want to go find the clients that need it. I would prefer them just walk-in, but if nobody shows one day, I would still like a pay check. I'm looking for an agency that offers these services I guess.
I didn't hate my last job, it's just that you have to feel good everyday to do it. You have to get up and go sell yourself, network, and be motivated. It was rewarding and very important, I just constantly battled with myself daily not to just hide in my house instead.
