xanax

  • congrats on not smoking! I need to do that myself, without the help of Chantix.

I'm on Niravam at the moment and I haven't really noticed if I eat more or less with it, to be honest. Does your doctor know you're giving up your anti-anxiety for exercise?

As for sleeping, Lunesta 3mg works wonders. So does Sonata. You don't wake up feeling hung over or with that metallic taste in your mouth.
  • Congrats on quitting smoking!

I am concerned that you have been taking xanax for 4 years. One is usually not advised to go longer than 14 days in a row on them because they are addictive, just like sleeping pills (which carry the same warning).

That being said, I have had an as needed prescription for xanax for the past 6 years (but I only take a few a month and not more than 14 days in a row ever). I also take it for sleeping problems mostly. It is the only thing that ever worked for me (aside from a few benadryll), the sleeping pills that I was originally prescribed did not work.

If you haven't already tried benadryll, you might want to give that a go as it usually works for most people, even if you have to take the upper limit on dosage. Plus, it is good for this time of year anyway.

    Watch the benadryl......

Some people cant take benadryl with anti d's,exspecialy people with anxiety.

I myself am one of them,I am like a two year old.I can dig ditches and build houses and be awake for days on benadryl. DEB

Really?? I had doctors (psychiatrists) RECOMMEND that I take it to help with my sleep problems. They actually had me take that before they would prescribe anything else. And I am on anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications.........
