  • Thanks Susan, I am hoping for good results, I am worried though that it will grow back after time. But I guess a little while is better than nothing

Well I called to get my file and they want to charge me something like 17.77 PLUS 12 cents a sheet! I was peeved. She said if I had another doctor he could send them there for free though. What is up with that? But she did tell me where my doctor went and it is only twice as far (30 miles instead of 15) away from me.

She starts on the 12th of February and so I think I am going to call and be her first appointment LOL She knows how frustrated I have been about this and she also thinks I should have seen improvement in my fatigue by now so I think she is my best bet.

I was looking online and found a cool body symptom thingy hard to explain but anyway besides, aches and pains, headaches and thoughts of suicide, I have all other symptoms. So how do they figure out if its just the anemia or if its depression? Do they wait for the anemia to clear up? It has already been 6 months! I just want to feel better. --Sumi
  • Woohoo got an appointment the day after she starts! Thank you guys I will post what happens. With all luck I am just insane and it is just the anemia and I have to wait for it to go away, but I just don't see how I can keep going at the rate I am at right now.

  • I sure hope that you are able to get some assistance!!

I can't believe that they are going to charge you for your record~I would see if they won't transfer your bloodwork at least! All you need to do for that is sign a release of records. Those are your records!

I find it quite interesting that people feel that they are stuck with their Dr. I work in the insurance business and have assisted a many a people in "firing" their Dr.s
As a patient we are consumers of a Dr. service. Sadly alot of Dr. seem to forget this very thing. If you went out to eat and your food kept getting messed up would you go back??

If you have thyroid problems there is a great book called " the Thyroid Source book" excellent and very easy to understand.

As far as talking about depression with your Dr., sometimes you just have to spill the beans. Just tell them what is going on~even if you start crying.

Sounds like you needs some help and hope you are able to get it~
    Blessings~

  • Thankyou MGF I am going in tomarrow, although I am dreading it a bit. I guess the worst thing she can say is 'no its just the anemia'. But I really don't feel like thats all it is, I never have since they started treating me for anemia. I am considering drafting a letter to give her and ask her to read it when I am not there. But that only delays talking about it with her. I need to just do it. --Sumi
