Default Hi Chicks!

Well, it's the day after , and I have a Sugar Hangover ..and I'm not waiting 'til New Years to get back on my diet. I won't be able to weigh in tonite at WW, but I should be able to get to the Saturday morning meeting.

We had a great visit with Matt. There were tons of families visiting..and Matt got a surprise. A wonderful couple who worked with Matt in our church Youth Ministry was there to visit their son; (who's in the same cell block as Matt..weird coincidence) and he had a chance to say hi and get a hug for the first time in over 2 years . We stopped for a few stocking stuffers on the way home, went to church for a wonderful candlelight communion service, and had a nice dinner afterward. We even had a surprise on our annual trip to see the Christmas lights..one of the homes had SNOW on the front lawn. They had a snow machine running and it was shooting snow up into the trees so it looked like it was actually falling from the sky!

I hope everyone had a blessed and memorable Christmas!

I'm starting today. I'm not waiting for January 1st. I've been so depressed about my weight I'm letting it control everything I think and do. I have so many great ideas but my committment is lacking. Without accountability it's easy to fall off the wagon.
My Christmas was great. I just wish we had some snow.

Hi Everyone,

Cathy.. yes, I did a chicken, but we had lots of leftovers *lol.. hub ended up at hospital for 4 hours, waiting to be seen... he had a relapse (we thought), but his fever, chills, aches & sore throat turned out to be a raging case of strep. He had had it over a week before he said anything *shaking head... anyway, he's on antibiotics and actually ventured to work today... he came down with bronchitis (while hunting in Nov), then the flu, now strep... all in about 7 weeks.

I'm doing much better... energy level is still low. I'm seldom sick, but this one really knocked me off my feet.

I hope everyone is doing well...... I'm going to venture to the gym today... I'll just do a bit.. don't want to overdo after this flu... plus, I have been to the gym maybe 3x since Aug.. which is really sad after more than 2 years dedication. I know it will come back fast... I just have to give myself a few weeks.

WW is closed here this week... I wish it wasn't, but the worst (for me) is over now that Christmas presents (a lot of food, chocolates, etc) are open and nearly gone. I've been allowing myself "stuff" because I didn't want to feel deprived. So far, I think I've been fairly good... when I think back to past years.

Anyway...I hope all are well... we survived!!!

good afternoon gang

i'm really rushed. i did 2 miles at 5 am this morning before coming into work and i haven't stopped running since. it's nuts down here. Took me an hour to open the mail (which is really rare) and now i'm shuffling paperwork like crazy and trying to get payroll done.

I do have to say (and somebody please remind me when I don't feel like getting out of bed) that I FEEL GREAT GREAT GREAT simply bec I'm walking 2 miles (30 minutes) in the morning. It makes a world of difference in the way I feel about myself and most everything else

hope everybody has a BLESSED day
hugs,
cathy

Good Morning,

Judo, hope you and DH are feeling better soon that really stinks. Its so hard to get back into exercise but once you do, ...... well look at Cathy, she's feeling wonderful. Good luck hon.

Cathy, good to see your so chipper and feeling good WTG !!!! Keep it up, it also helps ward off the sickies.

Liz aka buzy bee aka miss entertainer glad your christmas was wonderful. Are you working all this week? how id the kids like their christmas?

Retep...good luck with starting early..its a smart thing to do.

Today I have a mess to clean, I'm not taking down my tree until next weekend but I'll start to put away the little things around the house. Plus the clutter is driving me mad.

I have to hurry with my posts b/c my PC has been wacky....I'll post and then get disconnected and lose everything... so I'm gonna hurry and get off.

Have a great day everyone

good morning gang

I'm still chipper today BUT my alarm did not go off this morning. grrrrrr I had it set for 5 am and I woke up at 6:30 (really late). I don't know why the fool thing didn't go off, but then I was running around like the Tazmanian Devil trying to get to work on time. I walked in 5 minutes late which I never do but I did today . So needless to say I did not get to exercise (since running around never counts for me) oh well.....one day at a time.

Leenie - you aren't taking down your tree until next weekend? like on the 6th??? I have got to get my tree and all the decorations put up this weekend (which is my VERY LEAST FAVORITE part of Christmas). I was gonna do it Monday while I'm off but something came up for Monday and changed my plans.

I'm fixing to run errands at noon and then we are closing up early this afternoon. Wonder if I would possibly feel like getting it all put up tonight? uhmmmmm NOT

so what's everybody else up to today?

can you believe that we are at the end of yet another year! wow the years sure are flying by!

hope everybody has a BLESSED day!
hugs,
Cathy

Good Morning,

Yes Cathy, next weekend the 6th. I want one more week of looking at these lights b/4 they go until next year

Today is a busy day as well, we are having some one come here to work on our PC's and then we are off to a friends house to help her video tape herself because she wants to be on "the biggest loser" show. This aught to be sad but happy if she gets to go on.

More cleaning today b/c tomorrow is new years eve and a few friends (neighbors) are coming by..... well no one that drives thats for sure LOL.

Watcha all doing this weekend?

.

good morning gang

what a night we had down here. great big storms - rain and WIND and thunder and lightning and it's just now letting up. The weather kept waking us up.

Anyway, I just got done walking 2 miles with Leslie and now I'm picking up around here. Dh is saying he will put up the Christmas decorations one day this week while I'm at work (which would be REALLY NICE) but we may end up doing it this afternoon. Just depends on how our day plays out and if we can get outside with the stuff we need. Everything is soaked right now.

Leenie, I enjoy the lights too (they are BEAUTIFUL) but we put our tree up the day after Thanksgiving and it is a HUGE tree (dh's doings) and by this time I'm more than ready to take it down and get it put up and out of the way (oops I'm sounding like Scrooge). I also like to get it put up while I'm off from work for a few days - usually on New Years Eve or Day - but both of those days have something else going on this year.

How exciting about your friend trying out for The Biggest Loser! I think it would be awesome to do something like that - the only thing is I can't imagine being gone from family and home and work for that long - but certainly worth someone changing their life!

Leenie - do you happen to know if Tippy's email/computer is working??? have you talked to her lately? her and Roger doing ok?

Liz - did you get in your 4 hours yesterday? was the ER busy? I'm glad you have some down time and some fun this weekend. Ain't life grand at times Did your girls have a great Christmas?

Wonder where everybody else is at? and what everybody is up to? busy little bees?

ok gang, I'm gonna get busy with some things around the house.

Hope everybody has a BLESSED day!
hugs,
Cathy
