Hey gang

Cathy the er is always busy between xmas and new years cause people hang in there until xmas and then by the time they come in they are quite ill....it was only 4 hours though so not bad at all.

I feel myself falling into a bit of a funk.....my son's birthday is Jan 6th....he would have been 13....I just can't wrap my head around that....it is so difficult...I have pictures up around the house of my 2 year old....and he would have been 13.....can't help but wonder what he would have been like, been into, etc.
No one talks about him anymore....it is cool when I see my 15 year old with his pictures in a collage in her room, or wearing an angel pin xmas eve with his birthstone....quietly remembering him....

This weekend I am not working and I am feeling less and less like going out. MY hubby and girls are going to the mountains next week for a couple days. I am gonna work a ton and get caught up....my new years resolution is going to be working less...no coming home at 7 pm....and getting out doing things....better mental and physical health.

Liz (((((((hugsssssssss))))))) I cannot begine to imagine what you've been thru and what you continue to go thru. I would think it's only normal to wonder what your son would be like and what he would be into. I would be glad for you to talk about him and tell me what he was like. I'm sure friends and family still think of him, but probably don't know what to say or don't want to say the wrong thing, and so they end up saying nothing. I am so sorry for your terrible loss! :hug:

Thanks. I don't think its going to be gone that soon, but we can hope! :D Thanks I got that particular saying from the movie, "Batman Begins", I just watched it last week and I LOVED that quote from the movie.

So some quotes I get from movies I watch and others I get from searching on Google, just do a search for Quotes on google, tons of sites come up. ;)

I took all my xmas stuff down yesterday...today I am going to vaccum and do the bathrooms and kitchen floor. Not going out tonight...not up for it. Not a big drinking/dancing party anyway. I might go out to dinner theater with hubby and my 8 year old.

Hi Everyone ...

I'm new to 3 chicks and I am posting here as well as couple of other forums for support. My Avatar is a picture of my ideal (cartoon) version of myself.

Here's a little about me: I'm older than I like to admit ;) and I have two little boys ages 6 and 2. I was a very successful career woman until I got married and children children in my mid thirties and that changed my life ... for the better (because I love my boys) for the worst because my life changed so drastically.

I went from traveling all over North America being independant, selfish and skinny - to being skinny to being a stay-at home mom, putting everyone else before me and gaining 70 pounds which I haven't taken off.

Needless, to say I am depressed about it and in a continual downhill spiral.
I don't exercise anymore, I eat late at night, I eat WAY too much food that is bad for me and I find myself stuck in a rut.

Soooooo, I am hoping and praying that finding support among all of you wonderful ladies and gentlemen will motivate me to change my unhealthy ways.

Technically, I don't have clinical depression (at least not that I've seen anyone for) but, I hope I can hang out here for a while anyway. :halffull:

Thanks ladies. No I didn't get a flu shot, I never have. Ususally when I get shots I feel worse with taking the shot than if I had just been sick, but this time I'm questioning it. I guess I was due for a good flu bug........but UGH its miserable!

Today we cleaned out the attic :faint: and then took down all the Christmas decorations and got them put up :faint: I'm just now sitting down and need to think about some supper. Anyway that was my exercise for today.
