What to do with dried apples on the paleo?

  • I've a bounch of dried apples and they are a little too many for eating them raw, I need to cook something or they'll go wasted.
So, anyone has ideas on what to do? I'm thinking about paleo cookies or maybe use them for a filling? Help!!!

NOTE: I'm on the paleo diet, so NO dairy, grains, potatoes, legumes and yeast.
  • no legumes? that is where I'd cry

I'd do a search for apple recipes on google and see what pops up. You can rehydrate them somewhat with water and they should be able to be used in any recipe.

This looks like a good one, it says serve on bread but you could just eat it as a salad

This is a cabbage/apple dish that looks good

Are you allowed to eat psuedo grains (amaranth, quinoa - they are grain like but actually seeds)
If so, this one looks awesome and it calls for rice but I'd substitute amaranth/quinoa or similar.

  • OMG that Apple Ratatoulille on Crostini seems very yummy, and I can use capsicum or cucumber as bread. Yum!!

Well, I officially cannot eat the psuedo grains, but I follow strictly what I believe the cavemen ate so once in a while, no more than twice per month, I eat a small portion of pseudo grains as I believe cavemen might have found it and ate it.
