How to plan balanced meals ... Probably the easiest thing to remember is this "create your plate" idea on ADA's web site (also used in the Sonoma diet, I think):

An uncomplicated way of cooking is a George Foreman grill. Throw on some steaks/chicken/porkchops, steam some rice, and add a fresh salad and you have a meal.
