Last day of the challenge, and I'm so tickled when I read everyone's success stories!

I will get my last 40 in today!! Congrats days

shelliebellie 11-30-2006 01:13 PM

I'm so close!!! I just have 100 minutes left, I can do it today for sure! Tomorrow is the beginning of a new challenge, but I upped the minutes to 1500 and I think I may be pushing it a little bit. I'll try my hardest though.

jcatron243 11-30-2006 01:18 PM

Shellie!! you can do it, I know you can!! 1500 minutes will be tough but we can do it together!!

Sojourner 11-30-2006 02:25 PM

Yay so proud of everyone! Really, it is such a huge accomplishment to set these types of exercise goals and then achieve success! We should all be very proud and choose a non-food way to reward ourselves. Here are a variety of reward ideas:
  • hot bubble bath
  • manicure/pedicure
  • massage
  • facial
  • new workout clothes
  • new athletic shoes
  • new gym bag
  • buy something beautiful and unneccessary... like jewelry, clothes, shoes, purse, etc.
  • visit a local museum or attend a theater production
  • sign up for a dance or yoga class
  • sign up for a cooking or knitting or scrapbooking or beading or pottery class... something you have always wanted to learn but just didn't make time
  • lock your bedroom door and curl up in bed with a good book
  • get a magazine subscription to your favorite magazine
  • spend the afternoon at your favorite bookstore with a cup of coffee
  • go for a free makeover at your favorite cosmetic line at the department store... throw away all your old makeup and start over with a fresh, updated look
  • adopt a doggy from your local humane society to cuddle, care for, and exercise
  • plan a weekend getaway to a bed & breakfast or nice hotel
  • go antique shopping
  • get a modern haircut and color at a top salon and look fabulous
  • buy new eye glasses or get contacts
  • learn a new sport... the one you've always wished you could do but were afraid to try (rock climbing? raquet ball? volleyball? snorkeling? kayaying? ice skating? skiing?)
  • sign up for a language class
  • buy a beautiful journal and pen
  • buy a new cd of your favorite music
  • hit the local amusement park and ride all the scary roller coasters
  • go to the zoo and laugh at the penguins
  • buy luxurious new pajamas, underwear, and socks
  • buy a beautiful houseplant
  • pierce your ears... or even better your belly button, your nose, etc.
  • get that tattoo you've always wanted
  • buy new candles and light them every evening
  • arrange a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers for your dining room table

Anyone else have ideas? What will you choose to reward yourself? You deserve it!

jcatron243 11-30-2006 11:58 PM

1520 minutes of intentional exercise and 32.5 miles walked!! I didn't do too shabby. :) I wish I would have gotten that last 2.5 miles walked to reach 35miles, but I am not disappointed at all!

Sojo~I will reward myself with a LONG LONG HOT HOT shower without the kids. Tomorrow we are going shopping and I may throw a little something in for myself!!

I hope to see everyone here on the December Challenge!!

You are all doing so awesome! It feels great to accomplish this! :carrot: I got to 2465 in November so I am over my 1800 mark. SO an 82 minute a day average , so 41.083 hours and 123.25 miles! Whoohooo!! Now for pounds. I started at 219 and today I am down to 213! Now I will say I did lose an extra pound before turkey day but gained it back. SO I did lose 7 pounds this month but gained 1 back. Still not bad. One thing I did notice though is my tummy is getting better! A little tip for you brisk walkers, every once in a while shake it up by running for a minute or so, it gets that heart rate up and actually (IMO) works the top belly muscles. That is what started decreasing this month for me. Drink plenty of water! :D

shelliebellie 12-01-2006 10:54 AM

I FAILED!!!!! Boo, but I'm not dwelling on it. Today is a new month, and I will achieve my goal!!! See ya at the new challenge!

Jasmine31 12-01-2006 10:56 AM

Shellie you did not fail! The only time you fail is when you quit trying!

jcatron243 12-01-2006 12:53 PM

Shellie You DID GREAT!!!! YOU DID NOT FAIL! you got in what, 1100 minutes??? You are totally awsome!!

loveandlaughalways 12-02-2006 12:46 PM

Great job shellie!! At least you weren't sitting on your butt the entire month!!!
