Arrow Labor Day Challenge

OK, so I know that most of us are doing Joy's 12-week Habit Forming Challenge too, but I need to have a shorter-term focus. So here's an approximately 5-week challenge. Pick the one thing you need to work on most--exercise, food, or water--and use this month to get in the habit of doing it right!

My challenge this month is exercise. I'm going to exercise at least 20 days in the month of August, starting today. And for meeting my goal I get a new book that I've been wanting for months, Stephen King's "The Dark Tower." If I do not meet this goal, I do not get the book.

I don't have trouble drinking my water (at least not during the week), and eating goes OK when I put effort into it, but exercise has been seriously lacking for way too long. So 20 days, at least 30 minutes a day, no excuses. I'll add it to my signature so you can all see where I'm at. Of course.

So that's my plan. What's yours?

Morning chicks!

So yesterday morning I'm at 212.0... ugh. OK, no more going up. And no more weighing until Sunday. Someone remind me of that, OK?

This weekend consisted of a heck of a lot of bad-for-me food, not nearly enough water, and no exercise. Except trying to balance on an innertube in the pool for an hour or so--I can still feel that in my abs!

But no more! There will be exercise! There will be water! And there will be healthy eating!

So off I go to change my signature, journal, and get to work. Have a great day, chicks.

Hey! I've been MIA the past week. I can't believe it's August already and time for a new challenge. My wedding is only 13 months away now! I've spent the past week going to different reception halls, looking at churches and of course trying on wedding dresses. We've also been working on the house a lot, now it's ready for the electric, finally something is getting done! Plus, today is my last day at Aegis!! YAY! So, I've been trying to get in a good bit of hours for my last paycheck there. I won't start my new job til Aug. 9th, so I'll have a whole week to focus on *ME*.

Enough rambling.... My focus for this month is going to be Eating.. I've been eating a LOT of carbs lately. and I need to get back into snacking on fruit again. Plus, my new job is at a pizza place and they have the BEST pepperoni rolls and ontop of that I get $5.00 worth of free food everyday for lunch, so I have to limit myself there and take my own food! And I want to get 70 miles this month and start bikeriding by the end of the month when it starts cooling down.

Well, I better get my exercise in and head to my LAST DAY of WORK!! Later chicks!

Hi I'll keep up on this one too (hopefully) I'm sure it will work hand in hand with the 12 week challenge.

My main focus until Labour Day has to be getting to bed by 10pm so that I can get up at 4am to exercise. Being tired is my biggest excuse so "NO MORE EXCUSES".

Hugs
Joy.

PS hope to see more of "US" at the 12 week challenge.

Morning chicks!

Like I said, my goal this month is 20 days of exercise, at least 30 minutes at a time. Also, I'm adding no more than 2 days between sessions. So I wanted to get this month off to a good start, so I got in 30 minutes yesterday. Calories were a bit high, but it was healthy food, just lots of it, and I was still in my calorie budget by about 5 calories. And I drank a lot of water, so I'm chalking up yesterday as a victory.

Steve went to the doctor yesterday, and he thinks he's fat because he weighs 180. I wish I weighed 180! But at least he wants to make an effort to lose weight and be healthier overall, and that will help me too.

Anyway, I've got to get to work. Have a great day, chickies!

Thumbs up

Oaky Doaky,

I was to bed by 10pm and up at 3:50am this morning. I walked two miles with Leslie and did a 10 minute abs (ouch) routine. DD called at 5:45 - her ride was a now show so I was ready to dash over to her rescue and take her to work. It's a good day.

XOXOXO

Hey!

My week off is going by WAY to fast. I've gotten in 5.48 miles the past two days, which isn't that good.. but about 4 of the miles was from Monday and yesterday I went for a little bike ride and swimming for a good part of the day so that's why I didn't get as many as I wanted. Eat has been really good, except for that darn icecream. As long as I eat good the rest of the day, I don't think one little icecream bar will hurt me too bad, right? I've eaten rice, peas, carrots and chicken for lunch the past 2 days, a grilled chicken sandwich and vegtable casserole Monday for dinner and Spegetti yesterday for dinner. There hasnt been Too much snacking, except for the icecream, other than that a yogurt and some frozen grapes. Oh yea, and that BIG reeses cup with peanuts yesterday.

Today I'm going to get my nephew and spend most of the day with him. My Grandma, that I NEVER talk to, called me and asked if I would come visit her for awhile and I told her I would and that I'd bring Ethan with me so she can see him. Then I'm going out to eat at Cracker Barrel, I already have planned what I'm going to eat so I don't go crazy when I get there and order Bad food. After that me and Jesse is suppose to go to the lake to go for a walk and take a swim. I think I'm going to eat grilled chicken and veggie casserole for lunch. But, we'll see.

Welp, I'm outta here. Later chickies.

Like my signature says I'm 3/3 for exercise and 3/3 for getting to bed early.
