Gardenerjoy: I'm really enjoying my water walking and exercises in the pool. I'm also doing some strength training exercises in the pool. As far as my interval training goes, I might try that on the stationary bike if it doesn't cause me too much pain.
May goals: 500 min; 12 days of exercise for at least 20 min or more; 3 interval sessions
01: 25 water walking/jogging/pool exercises; 25/500; 1/12 days
02: 13 min bike; 27 min water walking & pool exercises; 65/500; 2/12 days

I did Pilates for the lower body late yesterday and yoga hip openers this morning. That combination made me feel good physically and emotionally. I want to remember that!

Hi Flower1. I had my right hip replacement in 2016. I love the swimming pool for exercise. Usually I am the only person in my little senior citizen apartments in the pool, and I like to just walk back and forth across the shallow end, reading a book while I walk!
Years ago I took a water aerobics class at the gym, and the instructor said moving through the water is eleven times more resistant than moving through air. The only drawback is water movement is not weight bearing, and I have osteoporosis. So I try to walk outdoors too.

I'm sick but I updated my activity. Looks like I will not meet my goal, but I am very proud of my activity levels coming from two years of no exercise and a doctor's order not to walk
Maybe next month I will change the goal to minutes of activity--but I do want to get my walking up. We'll see.
Going to sleep/lay down now.
