Let's rock August!

I barely made the modest July goal (on the final day)...
I'll stick with the modest 600 minutes of intentional exercise.
It's back to school for Texas teachers on August 12.

Aug1: 45 min water walk PM

TOTAL: 45

I'm joining y'all this month so I stay focused on exercises that I always give up on. I regularly strength train and keep moving each hour with my Fitbit, but I always avoid my core, stretching, etc due to joint issues. My hips/saddlebags have also started holding extra fat so I need to work on that area!

My WEEKLY goal for August:
Strength Train 3X
Core 3X (minimum)
Lower Body 3X (minimum)


08/01: ST (3/3)
08/02: Core, stretching, Lower Body, couch pushups (1/3)
08/03: ST (1/3); Core, stretching, Lower Body (2/3)

1: 10 dance & stretch, 25 walk; 35/1400, 1/25 stretch

KStrong: Yep! Tabbycat does that, too. Just be sure to pop in near the end of the month to let me know how you did because I usually forget to come back to the first page and check.

August goal: 1400 minutes, including 25x stretching and 12x strength-training

1: 10 dance & stretch, 25 walk; 35/1400, 1/25 stretch
2: 35 walk, 20 dance & stretch, 25 yoga (Day 8); 115/1400, 1/25 stretch, 1/12 ST

Thanks Joy! I'll probably still post separate updates some days, but just wanted you to be aware that I had consolidated my goals for easier tracking if you still make Goal Sheets.

Well, I started out strong with the new lower body exercises. Although I had planned to do more than my minimum of 3X per week, I got gung ho and in my mind thought that wasn't so bad. I'll do these daily when possible. NOPE. I felt good doing them on the 2nd day in a row, but when I did some extreme bending for other tasks, I FELT IT especially in my back which is where most of my joint issues are! That could also be because I did them again last night when I was in my recliner. DUH. I just thought about that. It probably targeted the wrong area doing that since I wasn't laying flat. I just hate getting on the floor even with a padded mat, but they want you to do it that way for a reason. Lesson learned.
