863 miles for the year (both exercise and daily movement).

I found out the results from bone and ct scans and am so pleased
to be able to tell you that my cancer has not gone metastatic. The
genetic oncotype test results confirmed my cancer is not aggressive and
slow growing, making me a low risk for occurrence in the next 5 years.
These two together mean I do NOT need Chemotherapy!!!!!!!!

Next Monday I start 16 days of radiation therapy and after radiation is
done, I'll be on a estrogen hormone blocker for possibly 5 years, plus
continued screening.

Great news, Doggy!
I have been pretty faithful about walking in the swimming pool, but I don't count it in my walking goal for the year. So I am way behind the curve! I may need to change my walking goal from 500 to 365 (average of a mile per day).

Workinglikeadog: I'm very late with this comment but I'm thrilled your cancer has not metastatic. Over the last two years I've lost 4 colleagues and friends to breast and brain cancer. It sounds like you and your doctors have a plan for the near and foreseeable future. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers that your radiation treatment went as well as possible :hug:

curvey, Thank you for your support. I appreciate everyone's concerns and prayers. It sounds like you have had more friends with cancer than many people I know. I'm sorry for your losses and am so much more compassionate than I was before my diagnosis.

I'm done with radiation and on the heal, though still itching from the radiation burns one week after the last treatment. I've started on Tamoxifen, an estrogen blocker and so far am taking it well, (no side effects).

1099 miles for the year (both exercise and daily movement). I'm doing well on movement, with walking and gardening. It's been nice seeing that 10,000 steps = at the end of the day. Wish I could say I'm slimming down as well, but no. I was journaling for a while, and hope to start again, so I can see what I'm eating for the week.

Hope everyone is doing well. I'm enjoying my puppy for the most part and his need for a daily walk is a perk. :running: It was a bit cooler the past few days and puppy has been more playful on his walks, nice to see.
