Just marking my spot for the new month! I lost 14 lbs in February and am hoping to keep that consistent through the month of March. However, I will be keeping my "long run" goal of 10 lbs a month...so, while I am hoping for more, anything above 10 lbs will just be a happy bonus! Anyway, I hope everyone has a successful month in March, and the best of luck to you all! :luck2you:

Gardenerjoy, thank you for the new thread!
opheliaphoenix you are doing an amazing job there, keep it up! Your weightloss speed is really impressive. AFM, this month I HOPE to see two digits number. I think I will celebrate somehow, just have to figure out how, if I reach that mini-goal of getting back under 100 kgs. SW: 102.7 CW: 102.7 GW: 99.9 |

GardenerJoy I've enjoyed participating in your challenges, so I'm looking forward to this March WL challenge. I hit a long term plateau in February, so I didn't reach my February WL goal. I had started strength training, so I think my body was in transition as I tone up. I don't want to be flabby when I reach goal, so I just have to accept that muscle weighs more and press on. The scale started to move again towards the end of Feb, so I'm hoping to log some good numbers this month.

I was originally going to stick with my weight from yesterday to be my start weight for today but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. My husband and I went out to eat last night so I was expecting a bigger jump. But gaining only 1 lb after having a big meal is not too bad at all!
Put my weight loss goal for the month at 5 lbs. I'm hoping to lose approximately 1 lb a week. I really just want to reach onederland and stay there. SW: 202.6 GW: 197 3/1 - 202.6 |

To Everyone: I am glad to see so many people coming back for this month. I hope March is kind to us all this round! :grouphug: ________________________________ My weigh-in was0 255.4 today...which was a 2.6 lb whoosh down from yesterday! I weighed about an hour and a half later than I usually do, so we'll see how much of the whoosh I will get to keep tomorrow, lol. That's pretty large to feel accurate, but I weighed several times, and it stuck. Maybe I'm getting a pat on the back from the universe for staying consistent, or maybe I'm just extra "empty" right now from weighing late...either way, I'll be happy with it for today! Week One 01: 255.4 02: 03: 04: 05: 06: 07: ---------------------------- Total Loss for Week One: |

I'm in again, my goal for March is 15 lbs.
Everyone did so well through February and I really enjoy reading about your progress, it's inspiring! Secondary goal of less complaining when I don't lose, I'm not sure why things are so slow but I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing so time to relax about it I think. I'm losing inches like crazy and really committing to my workouts so need to give myself credit for maintaining calorie goals and working out and be more patient for the scale results. This is a lifestyle commitment and I'm nailing it. March SW 259 March GW 244 3/1: 259 3/2: 259 |
Hi everyone  Count me in again, happy to be starting our new month! Congrats again to everyone and wishing you all a successful month.
I have been pondering my goal, was going to do 5 but seeing as I lost 1.5 lbs. last month and my body basically maintained and stabilized the WL thus far....I am currently 182.8 and I like even numbers so I am setting a goal of 6.8 lol. I am thinking once I get out of this plateu, which I am suspecting, there may be some good motion so it ay just be possible. Either way, going to focus on each new day and wishing us all a good and successful day today! Oh oh, I may be losing power, posting! Keep up the great work everyone! :carrot: |

__________________________________________ I'm surprised by my drop this morning. Yesterday I feel like I ate my weight in frosting! I was testing out a new buttercream recipe and it tasted great. Too great... Still has some kinks to work out but otherwise pretty good. Luckily I don't need it until the end of the month so the temptation has been frozen. Another surprise today is that my niece went into labor. She's only 32 weeks so that's a little nerve-wracking. But these days that's not as bad as it used to be. They've been trying to stop or slow down her labor but apparently I have a very determined little great nephew coming. The downside is they might not let me visit her since I still have a cold. I'll still go when I get the call and if all else fails I'll hang out in the waiting room with the rest of my family. SW: 202.6 GW: 198 3/1 - 202.6 3/2 - 201.6 |

Definitely been there done that! Sometimes I'll look at what the new posts are on the right and if I see something that seems to apply to me I just click on it and join the conversation. And then afterwards I realize where it is.

econ nerd: Welcome back! Nice to see you posting again. :)
nancylmrn, ashori602, and tinneranne2: Welcome! NightSnacker: That's definitely the right mindset to be in!! Best of luck in March. :) Weekend Boater: Hope you didn't end up losing power there at your house, and good luck this month! :lucky: LovelyLeah: Congrats on the drop...I feel like I am getting just as excited for you to walk through the gates to Onederland at this point, haha. And, best of luck to your niece as well --- my little guy was born at 32 weeks & 3 days, and you'd never be able to tell he was such a preemie now. I am thankful that medicine has advanced as much as it has, and I'm hoping that if her son comes today or soon, that he is as healthy as can be and that he and your niece will be well taken care of by their medical team! I know how how stressful it is to be in that situation. Sending my thoughts and wishes for strength and quick recoveries for your family! ________________________________ My weight fluctuated back up a little to 256.8 today, but that was to be expected after such a large whoosh -- I'm not upset about it, because I still kept about half of it! ;) As for how my day went yesterday, I didn't get in all my water (only 12), and I also didn't get to finish my 4 mile walk, because I only got about 15 minutes out when I noticed that there was some distant lightning and thunder starting to roll in. I tucked back around on a side street to head back home right then, and I am glad I turned around when I did, because I wasn't back inside for more than 2 minutes when a loud crash of thunder hit and the sky immediately opened up with a torrential downpour! I got home JUST in time, lol. There wasn't even a warning sprinkle of rain right before it started coming down in buckets, so if I would have waited just a few more minutes to turn around, I would have been soaked to the bone and stuck walking out under the lightning. The weather in the South is often quite sudden and a little dramatic, lol. That being said, I still got in over 10k steps yesterday overall, because I had a busy day beforehand, so it ended up working out on-plan in the end despite the storm. OK! So, my first big goal has always been to hit 170 by April 9, as that's opening night for the show I'm in. (After that, I'd like to drop down as far as 150, but I don't have a pressing deadline after the show's closed.) Seeing as how I'm sitting at 180 today, this third day of March, I feel justified in setting my March weight loss goal at 10 pounds to reach that goal. Here's hoping!
I don't officially weigh in every day, so I'll update here every Saturday instead. :) Friday, March 3: 180.3 Saturday, March 4: 180.1 Saturday, March 11: 181.4 Saturday, March 18: 176.9 Saturday, March 25: 173.8 Friday, March 31: |

Hi everyone  Hope everyone has a good new day, TGIF!
Quickie post for now as I have to head to the market. I am down 1.1 so far! Oh that is a n ice incentive for me. I have been working hard to break the plateau and I think the extra activity, workouts, and some meal changes are doing the trick. The near future will tell more. So currently I am at 181.7, 5.7 lbs to go! Thank goodness, lol! :) Okay girls, have a super day and catch up with you all soon. |
I'm running out this morning too, but wanted to weigh in quick.
Snowing here as usual and I can't wait to have outdoor exercise daily. Really looking forward to hiking with my new improved fitness level this spring, those great views will be even better if I'm not desperately gasping for air! Opheliapheonix you live in my dream state, so jealous of your weather! Have a great weekend everyone. March SW 259 March GW 244 3/1: 259 3/2: 259 3/3: 258.8 |
.2 drop last night. A loss is a loss an I can't expect to lose everyday. I'm believe I have lost a majority of the water weight I had put in so I must be getting into the real weight...so things may start moving a bit slower. Hope everyone is doing well.

Keika: Good luck with your goal...that would be a great way to start the opening night of your show!
econ nerd: Awesome job! Keep it up. :) Weekend Boater: Glad to hear that your adjustments are helping...nice loss so far! :cp: NightSnacker: I'll send some of our warm, humid weather your way...it's a little chilly today because of the storm cooling us off, but it's still in the 60s so it's just feels that way compared to the usual weather here...I know it's rather warm for the time of year. It was 80 degrees AT NIGHT here when I was out walking when the lightning came in night before last. It's felt like Spring since the beginning of February here, so we have some to spare...maybe it will head your way and melt some of your snow so you can get back outside, lol. ;) Nicholsfamily1987: Still on track with a nice loss since the beginning of the month...you're doing great! darius: Welcome! ________________________________ Weigh-in today was 255.8. Still struggling to get in my water goals (got in 14), but was able to get in all my steps and my walk last night. My neighbor actually joined me for half of it last night, because she's seen me out and walking and asked to go with sometimes...lol. Not sure how often she'll get to go, because her husband is a drill sergeant and has late nights and weird hours and he has to be home for her to be able to go. We've been friendly, but haven't really hung out much on our own without it having to do something with the boys (her middle child and ours are the same age and BFFs because they live right next door to each other), so it was nice to get to know each other a little better. Shame that we are moving duty stations soon now that we are making some time to hang out, lol...seems to be a common problem with forging lasting friendships in the military life. opheliaphoenix He came out screaming and pink! He's a little over 24 hours old now and hasn't once needed any assistance with breathing. He'll of course be in the NICU for a few weeks to fatten him up and make sure he learns to eat properly and continues breathing fine. But he's already pretty far along. He has figured out how suck on a pacifier and breathe at the same time. The doctor said that was an extremely good sign because babies at that age usually don't have that down yet. He was also surprisingly big considering him only being 32 weeks. He was 4 lbs 10 oz and almost 18 in long. Her OB was surprised she even made it this far. They thought she was going to be having the baby in January because she kept going into preterm labor. They were able to stop those but they then started giving her shots to help his lungs develop more in case he was early. That might be a huge reason why he's doing so well.
_________________________________ I got to see my great nephew today and actually hold him!!! I didn't think I'd be able to do that considering he's in the NICU. But he is doing amazingly well. He's breathing without any problems and he's even able to suck on a pacifier. I held him for nearly an hour and he was just so perfect and tiny. But my trip out to see them wore me out. I don't leave the house very often due to anxiety but this was worth it. I took a nice long nap when I got home. SW: 202.6 GW: 198 3/1 - 202.6 3/2 - 201.6 3/3 - 201.4 |
