Joining a little late. I'm not going to weigh in daily, just weekly, but I'll try to check in with all of you daily. My biggest goal is simply to get a handle on my binging and eat a bit more healthy. Though weight loss is my hope it's not completely my goal.

Weighed in today, and am thrilled.
I began the December weight loss challenge at 233 LBS, and today I weighed 229 LBS :cheer2: Minus 4 pounds in 12 days. I'll take it :D |

Way to go!!! I didn't have a good weekend, had to focus on family activities and forgot about myself :(. Didn't workout on Saturday and Sunday, and my eating went completely off-plan. I will get back on track today. Jesika, about your question, I don't have a weigh in day. I definitely don't weigh myself if I am feeling heavy or bloated, only when I'm feeling light. Let's go everyone, don't give up!!! |

I'm in a depressing series of affairs right now - I'm making final preparations to leave Japan after living here for 13 years. My wife died earlier this year from leukemia and I am moving back to the US next week. It's been so much work settling finances, mailing boxes of stuff back to the US. I've thrown so much stuff away. I've mailed back mementos. It's very depressing. |
I'm so sorry to hear that Darius. That's a lot of very stressful and hard events to deal with. Be kind on yourself, especially if you slip up with weight loss. Sometimes with self-care you need to focus on some priorities over others.

That's the way it is... People who have more to lose, will lose faster. Including water weight, but there's nothing wrong with that! I believe you will still keep losing in big numbers until you reach maybe 150's? Dunno, everyone is different! Congrats!!! |

I really want to weigh myself but I made a promise to only weigh myself once a week to prevent me from becoming obsessed with the number. Grrr!! But the upside is TOM decided to come into the picture so maybe it's best not to see the number. My goal is healthy living with the added bonus of weight loss. Healthy living is a lot harder than dieting but maybe it'll be more permanent...fingers crossed!
