Yay!
This is my first challenge but I'm pretty sure we can do what we want.
I'm obsessed with weighing so will probably check in every day. :D

haha I know what you mean... I am guilty of weighing myself everyday! Like just today- I gained 2 pounds! I know it is just water weight... but seeing that number go up instead of down was really frustrating/upsetting!

Poppadum 04-14-2015 04:03 PM

Exactly!
But same time it motivates me too..
Probably would be nice to check in every day anyway to keep ourselves on track and not in the bottom of a nutella jar ;)

Poppadum 04-15-2015 03:50 AM

Ok, lets go!
183.4 lbs starting weight.

Plan for today: An hour of cardio in the gym (c25k+elliptical+rowing) and 20 minutes of 30 day shred in the evening.
Eat maximum of 1500 calories.
Hopefully I will survive. :)

We can lose those 5 pounds, good luck everyone! x

Sum38 04-15-2015 07:53 AM

Happy Tax Day!

Why not. I'm in. I need the encouragement and support. I did my 45 minutes of cardio this morning before work, so I just need to maintain my calories and hopefully pick up a good deficit today. If I can just get through work today without pulling my hair out, I'll be golden. :D

Happy second day!

Hope everyone are doing well, I put our goals on top of this thread and will update with our successes when we have them!!

I had a good day yesterday.
Did my day 2 of 30day shred (It hurts now everywhere!)
Went to gym on my bike and did a big round (about 30 mins cycling)
35 mins of c25k week 6
10 mins of elliptical
bike home 10 mins
5k biking next to my bf when he was running :)

Calories stayed under 1500 so all good!

Won't have such active day today, will try to do the 30 day shred.
Scales were 183.2 - so a bit less!

Hi Delphi!

What kind of cardio do you do? Running or gym or at home?
Hope you had a successful day! x

Delphi 04-16-2015 09:43 AM

Morning Folks!

poppadum ~ Actually, I am doing cardio from myfitnesscoach. Its actually a game for the Wii (remember those things), and I walk/run on the treadmill at home, out at our local greenway when the weather is nice and was using the track at our civic center in town, but thats mainly during the winter months. It is just too darn beautiful outside to be walking/running indoors. I used to love to run but over the past 5 years, I just re-packed on 100 lbs and well...here I am. In any case, whats been working for you?

Well I am pleased that I finally saw movement on my scale this morning and was just thrilled. My progress has been slow since I re-started in January and nursing a back injury...but things are finally starting to turn full circle. I'll give myself a good ol pat on the back and have yet another on-plan day. Sure hope you guys do as well.

So happy for you!!!
2lbs gone, amazing! This really motivates me to stay on my track and try harder :)

I always wanted to get wii too, but I'm such a giver upper, thought it's not worth the money in the end.

It seems like exercise has nothing to do with my weight loss, since I started 8 weeks ago, I haven't lost a pound! I always only lose with eating around 1200 calories. But I think I was "forgetting" to log some foods because I felt more hungry when I did go running or to the gym. But I think I am starting to get over it so hopefully will see some results soon.

I'm definitely fitter than I used to be. First I couldn't run for 60 seconds, but on Saturday I ran for 20 minutes! Really liking the couch to 5k.

One day at a time we can do it!!
Seriously well done!!
:carrot:

Delphi 04-16-2015 01:21 PM

I think that is so true. I believe that has been my problem. I think my calorie deficit everyday has just been too small. When you are only getting a 200 calorie deficit a day, it can take forever to lose one pound. And for me, that would have been okay but I have a wedding dress to buy and a man to marry in 11 months, so I am a little extra motivated and that clock is ticking. LOL!

Good luck on the C25K. I'm sure you will pick up that endurance quickly. You just need a good pair of socks and shoes and you are golden.

Poppadum 04-17-2015 03:27 AM

Ooh congratulations on getting married, what a lovely prize you will have in the end of your weight loss achievements!

My scales were 182.3 lbs today!!
Haven't seen 182 for a very long time.
Could have not done without your support! Over the moon! x

Delphi 04-17-2015 08:06 AM

That is awesome!! :congrat:
You are working very hard and it is paying off. You should be very proud of yourself.

As for me, I'm down another pound. I guess all my hard work is catching up with me. Plus I know that TOM is coming soon and my weight will act so crazy. So, I am thankful I am seeing some movement. Its actually my rest day today as I'm off from work but I might try to at least get a little brisk walk in today just to burn a few extra calories.

Delphi 04-19-2015 09:34 AM

Happy Sunday.

Well its time to start my work week, so after my weekend, I'm definitely not ready to go back to work. It was a good weekend though. I stayed on-plan and bumped my calories just a bit to keep my body guessing. I am holding steady this morning with the scale. TOM is around the corner though, so I wanna make that final sprint before it shows up. Hope you guys are doing well and on-plan.

Well done staying on the plan even on the weekend!
I had a stupid weekend. I will weigh myself tomorrow morning, probably have put everything back on!
I did cycle 20km yesterday but went out last night, had some pints and today went out for lunch. Sigh.

Will be good again tomorrow! One day at the time :)

Poppadum 04-20-2015 05:45 AM

I had a rubbish day yesterday.
I think I ate about 2500 calories, and did no exercise.
I get such bad hangovers when I drink, I don't do it often but after 3 pints I get a proper 2 day hangover.
Anyway...trying to get through today being good and eating less.
I drank about 3litres of water too and I think my body was so dehydrated so it kept it all in! Scales were 183.4 this morning. Will wait couple of days to get it shifted again.
I'm so stupid, should not drink at all :(

Delphi 04-20-2015 01:07 PM

Sorry to hear you had a rough go of it but hey, its a new day. The key is just getting back on track the next day. Weekends always throw a curve ball at me but I must say it is easier during the warmer months to just get out and get active and burn those calories to compensate. The only time I really drink is on vacation which is coming up for us at the end of June, so I need to hit the road running with this weight loss before its time to hit the beach.

I'm down another pound. I just need one more for this challenge. I hope I can squeeze it out before TOM gets here. Have a great day.

Well done, you managed to do it do it with a week!
How come it came off so quickly, did you just restart your diet?

I was on 182.4 today. Sigh. Well it's pound down from yesterday anyway :D
I think it might be impossible to get out of the 180-s!!
I just don't understand how is it possible to put on 2.6lbs with one day! Oh well.
Downwards!

Delphi 04-21-2015 05:44 AM

I have been stuck for a month in this weird limbo with weight loss. I think my body is just playing catch up. It's finally just letting go. Today however, I'm back up and TOM is here this morning, so that sucks. I don't think you gained anything. Like me, I think your body is just holding on to some water weight. Plus, food stays in our bodies for awhile going through the digestion process. It could be a bunch of things. I was so discouraged when I was doing everything right and the scale was just stalling out at 247. Then finally I start losing. Our bodies are weird. We just need to be patient and roll with the punches. You will be fine and you will get out of those 180s. I have faith.

Poppadum 04-21-2015 06:34 AM

So annoying, you worked so hard and then this stupid TOM comes and ruins everything. Funny how it is all psychological isn't it? We know all the science of water retention and food digestion but still manage feel horrible and sad. :)
If you have faith, I will have too!
Hope you have a good day!!

Poppadum 04-22-2015 04:19 AM

181.4 today. Tomorrow I should be back to where I left it on Saturday.

Note to self. Don't ruin what you achieve with one day. It takes 3 days of hard work to undo it!

Delphi hope you manage at least maintain during the tom. Such party pooper that Tom :)

Well good luck. Your hard work is paying off, just stick with it. Coming here everyday and being accountable does wonders as well. I know it does for me. It kicks me into overdrive. TOM is being a pain but I am still getting my cardio in and just keeping the Midol on hand just in case. The scale isn't being kind but I know its just water retention etc.

Thank you :) I wasn't expecting to be 198- I was totally expecting something more like 201.5, 200, 199.5, then 198! woooooo! i jumped right down :) So proud of myself! I have not weighed this little since 2010! :)

Delphi 04-22-2015 01:11 PM

Thank you so much Delphi ! I am over the moon about it! Now to just stay on track and get that number closer and closer to my goal :):carrot:

Delphi 04-22-2015 02:25 PM

You will. We just need to stay focused and really dedicate ourselves to achieving our goals and we shall make it happen. Not to say there won't be bumps along the way but we got this.

Poppadum 04-23-2015 05:54 AM

Every day is a big bump for me :D

Down to 181 today.
I just realised we only have been doing it for a week!
Normal would have been me to lose max 2lbs and I am stressing out that I have lost only 2.6. Oh dear. Feels so much longer.

Delphi 04-23-2015 09:37 AM

Morning!

No need to be stressing out around here. Are you working hard? Are you doing all the things you need to do to achieve your goal? If so, then tell that stress to get the heck on down the road. No stressing. Hard work and dedication is rewarded, sometimes when you least expect it. You are making progress and that is a wonderful thing. Embrace the positive.

Well I'm still battling it out with TOM. Cardio is still good and staying on-plan with my diet, so overall, TOM can kiss it. Scale is still not moving but I do not expect to see a loss until TOM gets his ugly butt on out of here. Hope you guys have an amazing day. I know I am going to try like heck to.

Poppadum 04-24-2015 05:52 AM

Oh you're like a little positivity pixie!!! :)
You're right no stressing!

I'm down to 180.6 today - it's bloody hard to get out of those 180s!! Nearly there, couple of more days :)

Going to my first 2.5 mile run today, and will be good with food.

Here's to another successful day!!

miniDoodles 04-24-2015 08:39 AM

Hi everyone :smug:

Seeing this thread in the new post section today was meant for me to read. I hope U have room for me. I need your help to get fit after getting lazy, fat & eating badly during our freezing cold winter.

Dh brought home his favorite pizza for supper & mine also. I ate half of mine yesterday & saved the other half for my meals today. I logged on Kindle before starting my day while eating 2 slices for breakfast. But I'm going to start your 2 week challenge when I log off. Now I'll save my remaining 4 pizza slices for our g-babes that we're picking up today for the weekend. We're taking them to the movies tomorrow night to see the animated movie Home.

I'm just so happy to find this 2 week challenge. Do you'all have this challenge repeating continuously? It's motivating because a month from now we'll b back in our :sunny: shorts, sundress & swimsuits :swim:

Time for me to go get myself weighed for this 'new challenge' & get my work day going. Tonight when my g-babes r busy or sleeping I'll come back to read your posts & do personals.

 Dee

Poppadum 04-24-2015 02:03 PM

Hi Dee!

Happy to have you here! Welcome!
This is a first challenge we are doing but probably will do another one from May!
We have until end of this month with this one. If you would like to join you need a challenge!
Because you are joining late how about 2lbs? That sounds like a good healthy start?

And keep away from the pizza! :D
