1000 Miles In 2015
 
Please join me once again to challenge yourself to move 1000 miles this year.

Any form of exercise is welcomed!

Once my back heels, I am hoping to resume my walking. (I fractured a few vertebraes).

So my goal is to walk 1000 miles, what's yours?

Let the FUN begin! Thanks for starting the post Sum. I think you should include therapy mins as exercise and let 15 or 20 mins equal 1 mile. Hope you can start moving(therapy) soon.

My goal is 10,000 steps per day every day for the year. This is equal to 1,642 miles. So my goal for the year is 1,642 miles. I am hoping for more walking with my dog this year and would be tickled to get 2015 miles in 2015, but my focus will be on daily steps.

Sounds like a good plan. My step goal for each day is about 11000 or 5 miles so that means that I have to be really good for 200 days and will get 1000 easily.

:wave: Sum! Happy New Year! I've been MIA from 3FC for the last couple of months due to family issues so I only found out about your back fractures a few days ago. I'm so sorry. Sounds like you're on the mend and looking forward to future fitness endeavors.

Count me in! I've never done the 1000 miles challenge, but I walk so much I've often wondered how many miles I've amassed in a year. I'm excited by this challenge so let's do this!

Wow! This is THE motivation I was looking for.
I have been unable to be consistent in my life. Have not done any regime for even a month at a stretch. 3 weeks of Leslie sansone's 5 mile fat burning walk has been my best. And even though it was such a short duration, I felt great. I realised that power walk/aerobics was the way for me to lose weight.
I start today with Leslie sansone 4 fast miles
I hope my i can stick with this commitment with the support all you lovely ladies out there. Pls share with me the link for the excercise tracker..many thanks!

Good morning, everyone! Hope everyone's Friday is off to a great start. Still moving my way through January and nibbling away at my 1000 mile goal. It just seems so far :p Anyhoo, I'm doing a running total for each month rather than logging in separate entries. I tend to "lose myself" in threads particularly if I don't update every day!

Today I ventured to walk outdoors and it felt soooo good. Got little sun and lots of fresh air.

Back is doing really well, barely no pain, just a bit tight at times, thanks for asking!!

Excited as I share my excercise progress with all u lovely ladies.
Big thank you to Sum38, for the first time in my life, I have achieved 1/10th of any target! And yes, I feel changes in my body, feel a lot more energised.
Not weighing myself. At least for another month. I only focus on getting my workouts done. I walk with Leslie but add my own music, my speed has gone up on doing so.. Also, I am on day 5 of the 30 day shred., I tried doing the 30 day shred 2 months back as well. But just couldn't. One month and 100 miles of power walking with Leslie has given me the endurance to get through the 30 day shred workout. But walking is just exhilarating!!! Loving it. Diet control Monday through Saturday. Cheat day Sunday....and yes, I have noticed that i prefer working out before lunch..helps me in being consistent.
