No change for me again this morning...but, on the plus side, I remain in the 130’s:

I was glad to see you quickly made it back into the 150’s, and I hope you see a 158 tomorrow! Jacqui: Way to drop another pound! Joy: You’re almost at goal…keep going… Minneey: Hang in there! You’ve been at or around 142 for 13 days now, and I know how frustrating that can be. I stayed at 143.50 for 16 days, from the 1st to the 16th. I wandered down a bit, but kept returning to 143.50…it was driving me nuts. Then, all of a sudden I started to drop. Just stay on plan and it WILL happen. In the meantime, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the whoosh fairy pays you a special visit tonight! :crossed: 183StGB: Hope you enjoyed your Spanish class. The tickers can be very motivational. I’m looking forward to seeing yours. Sum: You’re staying below goal, which is good. Rhiko: I hope you get another whoosh soon. campana: Good luck in reaching October’s goal…you don’t have far to go! dcapulet: Congrats on making it into the 180’s! |
I had a "cheat day" yesterday. It was "fun", but not this morning when I stepped on that darn scale  Oh well, it is mostly water and I will get back down in a day or two....lots of tea today and clean eating for me.

Not sure if this one is real because I ate very lightly yesterday. I just wasn't hungry... But woke up starving this morning. Hope it sticks :)

SW: 189 GW: 183 CW: 184.5 10/19: 184.5 Cheat Day 10/20: 186.5 10/21: 185.5 10/22: 184.5 10/23: 10/24: 10/25: Joy, look how close you are to goal! :crossed: Campana, you can do it! :cheer: Minneey, Maybe 142 is a set point for your body. I've always thought that 197 was a set point for me and when I finally hit it, just as had happened when I had dieted before, it took me a while to get past it. I'd go down to 196, even 195, but then I'd pop back up to 197, just as you are doing with 142. The theory of set points is that your body is adjusting to a new high that it feels comfortable leveling out at, and that's a good thing because when you slip up, that's the weight it goes back to instead of the next set point above it. I know that if I stopped dieting today, my weight would drift back up to 197 and then it'd level out there for a long while--months even years--because it's done it before. And having my body settle there is a lot better than my next set point up, 210. I know some people don't believe in the theory of set points, but I do based on all my years of yo-yo dieting. I know that 197 is a set point for me and knowing that helped me not to feel too bad when I lingered there for longer than I wanted to on the way down because I knew my body was getting away from the 210 set point. Whether or not you believe in set points, try not to feel demoralized. You aren't doing anything wrong. Your body really is making adjustments. Just stick with it. You will get past it! Rhiko, I hear ya! I've gotten to the point where I don't dread TOM as much anymore because I know it will bring a drop (although my last TOM did mess with me some), lol! :D Tuscany, yay for the 130's! :spin: Sum, I'm glad you enjoyed a day off! :T That water weight will drop back off soon! Turtle, congrats on the new low! Woohoo! :broc: |

For Minneey, I'll echo what others have said. Some weights are just sticky. Most of this month, it looked like I wasn't going to move off of 77.35kgs and, then, I finally did. The only thing I changed was an apple + cheese in place of a more grain-centered snack. While you're waiting for the scale to move, you might amuse yourself by making a small change like that.
Also, how tall are you? Is it possible that your body has decided this is your goal weight? My original goal was 150 which is the mid-point of the normal BMI for my height. But I read some studies that said longevity was most correlated with the lower end of the overweight BMI, so I kept an open mind. In the end, I declared my maintenance range to be 165-170, which straddles the line -- at 165 I'm at the high end of normal and at 170 I'm at the low end of overweight. I can maintain this weight and still be reasonably happy with what I get to eat. Of course, I'm still an overeater at heart, so I would love to eat more, but I can live with this way of eating for the rest of my life. I had six straight days of losses, so I can't complain. Although I was rather hoping it would end in a stall, not a jump. SW: 77.35kgs CW: 76.75 (+0.55) GW: 76 |

Ahhh, just catching up on posts and feel I got exactly what I needed from you guys - thanks so much Jacqui, Tuscany and Gardnerjoy - really needed that reassurance! Massively appreciate the support.
I think I've been getting frustrated because this insanity exercise programme is well, frankly, driving me insane. I've been doing it alongside all my other exercise and really hoped that the results would motivate me. Have been doing a bit of googling though and think it is month 2 that'll ill see a shred so bring on the November weight loss thread (feeling nervous about month two as I write this). Anyway bit better news today, down to 141 again... Let the breath holding begin. Get well soon Woodstock, bet ur missing ur workouts! Try to rest and take it easy until your better though! So pleased for those just a few llbs away from their goals. Stick with it ! 183 - 70 minute run!!?? Wow! Amazing! yesterday's calories: 1700 yesterday's exercise: 1h crossfit today's weigh-in: 80,6kg (177.7lbs) change: +0,9kg (+2lbs) good morning :) I started taking a crossfit class yesterday. I was super worried about not bein able to Keep up, but I did. Also, it's a great Group, so I had a ton of fun :) especially when he dude cranked up the Music and we were going hard. Unfortunately I am mega sore today -- even woke up couple times tonight because my butt and legs hurt so bad. Well, let's me know I worked out ;) Minneey haha, yeah, "70min run" -- more like a majorly slow jog, but that sounds dumb :D I did the same distance in 50min 4 weeks ago, so I'm trying to get back to that. I heard about Insanity, but I'm kinda scared of it. And I feel like it's too expensive to just try it. Would you recommend it? Also well done on your 1lb drop! Tuscany I'm positive you'll get your woosh! Happy Wednesday everyone :cheer: |
Down a half lb to a new low! :carrot: Only 1 lb to go! C'mon 183! :crossed:

I hope you are feeling much better! |
