I just wanted to share this as we start this month's weight loss challenge. Someone posted this pic on another thread and I responded to it. How much fat was in that hand really struck me, and so I combined the pic and my response to it into a collage, resized it to 1280 x 768 and set it as my computer background. Now I am constantly reminded, each and every day when I reach for my computer, that every single pound really matters!

Here I was wanting to be 63-4 kgs by my b'day tomorrow (Sept 2), but no. I've been stuck on 66.7 kgs for 6 weeks now, even with my running and cutting back on foods (because I fell off the band wagon for a while). Before that, I was stuck on 67.8 kgs for 2 months. Well, long story short, I just want to lose this month. :(

I screwed up majorly this past week and my weight crept back up into the 120s. But what's done is done and I'm ready to get back on track and do really well this month. My goal is to be 110 by end of September. 12 lbs seems like a lot to lose in a month but I believe my recent gain is mostly water weight. Excited about this challenge, good luck everyone!

I'm heading to the Philippines for 5 days to celebrate my birthday and I know I'll be lucky to even maintain then. The plan is a very lazy beach break with lots of cocktails!! Having said that, I'd love to be able to lose 4 pounds this month.

I'm in for 2 lbs this month. I recently changed my LoseIt weekly goal from 1 lb/week to 1/2 lb/week so I think I'll be lucky to hit even a 2 lb goal.

I'm using yesterday's weight of 195 lbs as my official start weight for September since I knew I would be up today because of my Saturday cheat day. I gained 1 1/2 lbs, so I'll be drinking lots of water today and hopefully that will flush back out in the next couple of days! Starting off with a bang, lol!
:welcome: to all the new monthly weight loss challengers! Rhiko, I adore your avatar pic! I look at it and find myself saying, "Awww." It's just so sweet! So, you say you cut back on foods. Is it possible that you cut too far back on calories considering you're a runner? Or is it just right now? SHTeacher, I hit Onederland just recently in August, so I'm excited for you! You are going to do it this month! Chunkie, if you've only been off plan for a week, you'll drop that weight again in no time! Changer, how wonderful for you! Have decided that Sundays will be my weigh-in day -- never tried that particular day before, so why not? Maybe the thought of it looming over me will keep me in check Saturday night! My weight this morning was: 191.6. Sincerely hope to get off at least 15 pounds during this two-month challenge -- but 20 would be better. At my age, however, I know that won't be easy. I enjoyed the August thread so I think I'll come back for September. My birthday is September 28th so I would like to try to reach 152.
