State your goal and track it throughout the month with a supportive and encouraging group. We will compile our goals into a list. As each goal is met during the month, it gets turned RED in celebration. Woohoo!

For fitness related goals, check out our sister thread: August Exercise Challenge
  • Did not make goal for July. Hopefully this month will be better. Good luck all!!!

I'm new to 3FC. I tried to journal but couldn't stick to it. I tried a buddy system with my sister but she has 3 little ones and no time. So I'm trying to find some support while I lose weight. I have a lot to loose (<275 lb) I'm losing to get into medical school and my wedding dress (Fall 2015). I'm applying to medical school for the 2014 entry cycle but I'm worried I wont get in because of the way I look. Im determined to lose the weight I have struggled with my entire life. I accept this challenge.

My goal for the month of August: 20lb.

  • I'm in again. I'd like to get into the 140's by the end of August. My weight this morning was 157.25, which I'll consider my starting weight, and my goal weight is 149.00. That will require an 8.25 lb loss, a rather odd number, but what the heck!

    SW: 157.25
    GW: 149.00
  • I'm in! I'm new too, and think a challenge will help with getting me to my goals (July was not too successful for me).

    Goal: Lose 10 pounds

    SW: I'll weigh in tomorrow
  • Yay! I'm so excited for this August Challenge! Thanks Joy! And welcome to all the newbies!

    SW: 202
    GW: 196

If I can do this, I will hit two milestones: entering Onederland and getting out of the "obese" category (my first mini-goal)!
  • I'm in! My goal will be 10lbs

  • I'm in! I'm in!

I LOOOVVVEEEDDD last month's. It held me totally accountable.
I'm gonna stick with the 7 lb weight loss goal. Hope I can reach it again this month. During the next seven lbs I'll reach a 20 lb loss, and 10% down, so its a big month.

    SW (July 31): 172
    GW: 165
  • I would like to join in!

I am hoping to lose 8 lbs in August. Getting closer and closer to goal I am unsure it's doable but I am really going to push myself.
