December Weightloss Challenge!
I haven't found one yet so here it goes:

I'm pretty sure I shot up a pound today/yesterday from too many carbs, so

I am in. November was successful, I lost 3.8 kg, but I'm starting off December going to a weekend long pig roast. I weighed in a 92.2kg this morning, but I'm sure by Sunday evening I'll be back at 93. My goal for the end of December is 90kg. I may reassess after I WI Monday morning.

I'm going to join in for this month. I didn't make my goal in November by two pounds, but I wasn't terribly far off! I'm shooting to lose 7 pounds, even though it's the tough month of December. We'll see... SW: 165.8 CW: 165.8 GW: 158.8 |
@katbslim: I don't really do programs. I just focus on 40-60 minutes of cardio when I do go to the gym. I spent this summer working out and lost 15 pounds in 2 months, so I'm really hoping to recreate that loss during the month of December. I've also lost 18 pounds this semester :) I try my best to do 1200 calories a day, which I can do somewhat easily when I'm not working. But on a work day I give in to temptation for too easily, and I think that will be my number 1 goal for December: to work on not giving in to temptation and to only eat when I am hungry and when the food is beneficial to my body - not cookies and cakes, etc, just because they are convenient. That is honestly my biggest struggle right now.

My biggest struggle is also sweets. I LOVE chocolate, cake, cookies, candy, etc. So eating a sucker at night helps me to feel satisfied, but not overindulge. Good luck!

skinny1444: December 31 or January 1 or whatever your closest weigh-in to those dates (or whatever works for you -- we're pretty easy!). We'll have another thread next month. It's the month after month after month that makes this challenge work so well for me.

Im so In, ive havent been motivated for the past 2 months and kinda slacking off so its time to jump back in and lose those last 10. For this im hoping for 5lbs since so close to goal makes it so hard for me to lose even one pound.

I've decided to take a scale break until my finals are all over. I feel like I depend too much on the scale to tell me how to feel about myself, so I'm not going to weigh-in until Monday the 17th. My goal is to get back on track between now and then and to see great results by that point.

I was disappointed with myself for gaining weight during November, when I couldn't see a reason for it. I think I've figured out what's wrong (I kept calorie cutting, but not exercising) so I'm making my original end of November goal my new end of December goal. I have a two week holiday between Xmas and NY, so there's really no excuse not to do daily exercise (although it'll have to start next week since I'm on a no-exertion rest following a wisdom tooth removal this week!)

Thanks, gardenerjoy. You know, I wish that I could congratulate myself for being persistent, but in some ways, I'm really disappointing myself. I know that I should be thankful for every loss, but I'm lacking the diligence that I had last month. I just ate a piece of apple pie last night at 10pm and threw my calories way off for the day! Bad RVA.
I know that I need to be easier on myself, as this is a tough month, and just want to say to everyone else who's trying hard to lose this month: Do your best, but if, at the end of the holidays you haven't gained, you've still won. That'll be my new mantra. Five more pounds for me to make goal. That might be a lot. We'll see. I'll just be happy if I can get more than five real push-ups accomplished in a row! |
So, I lost 2.2 lbs since yesterday! So that puts me at 195.1 and I have 2.1 lbs until my goal. I'm going to change my goal to 191, even though I actually want to be under 189.:p

Hey everyone I had my first weigh in lost 9lbs! I was THRILLED!!
My second weigh in will be on Tuesday. I am trying not to weigh in between cuz I was weighing like 10 times a day and as you know your weight goes up and down so no more weighing in between. Too crazy. Hoping for 3 lbs this week. But not to sure. Just not feeling it. (fingers crossed) My goal is 250. |

Today I weighed in at 194.7, so I lost another 0.4 since yesterday. I really, really want to have lost the weight I regained by New Year's. Here's hoping! |
Is it too late for me to join? I am new to this website and I am looking for something to help me jump start my weight loss and this challange seems like it will do the job! If it isn't too late, I would like to lose 10 pounds by January 1st!

Great goal, WineLover531! I weigh daily, but it seems like I only post here when I've hit a new low for the month. Maybe it would help motivate me if I posted every day. Hmmm. Okay, we'll give it a shot. Some of today's gain is sodium from an Asian-inspired dish for supper last night and some is too much of my own home-made bread. The sodium will come off quickly enough and I had all the bread I'm going to eat today at breakfast so that should help. SW: 171.5 CW: 170.1 GW: 167 |
Well the month is pretty much halfway over and I am over halfway to my goal, however the tough days are still ahead. Hopefully I can still make it! And the rest of you can too!
