100 Days 100% Challenge!

100 days 100% challenge!
This challenge is open to everyone.
How much progress could you make if you stayed focused for 100 days? I have done it in the past and it is exhilarating.
Post what it means for you to give 100% and keep posting letting us know what day you are on.
If you slip up, do not disappear , just restart on day 1!

For me to give 100% daily I need to
• drink at least 8 glasses of water daily
• get in a minimum of 8000 steps daily
• count every calorie
• keep calories within the 1300 – 1800 calorie range

missunshine 07-08-2012 04:45 PM

i'd love to try this since i'm always on and off the wagon. i've been very good lately but today i really exaggerated with sweets and i think it'm my pms kicking in one week before my period. i'm not hungry but i just want to eat and i cant fight it off. last week i was doing really well but today is just a no go. hope it will be better tomorrow.
we are approkimately the same size and weight. i want to loose around 25 pounds till october. with almost no exercise but with a lot of walking.

Sarah1321 07-08-2012 05:03 PM

I want to do this too. I tend to have random days where I just don't care and fall off for a day.

My goals are:
-Track everything and stay around 1200-1250 calories each day
-Drink at least 64 oz of water every day
-Do at least 30 mins of exercise each day

envelope 07-09-2012 08:14 PM

Day 2 is going great. I am going to go for a walk to get my steps up. The morning was spent at the dentist and the afternoon at the pool. :0)

Missunshine - I hope today went better for you. I always hate TOM cravings and I get crankiness too. Sometimes I can stave it off with lots of water and an extra yogurt.

Sarah - when I did this last year, I would keep on going even when I had one of those days that I did not care so I would not have to start again. It was a silly little game I played with myself...but it worked for me.

envelope 07-10-2012 10:22 PM

Day 3

Had a great day. My calories were on target, I drank lots of water, I got my steps in by 6pm tonight. I decided to watch Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Addition - Ashley and it inspired me to hop on the elliptical, I will be 10,000 steps over my goal by the time I go to sleep. :o

Day 4
Today was my daughters' 7th birthday. I love that they will always remember me as active! They once saw my drivers license picture and could not figure out why I looked so weird...it was because I was at or close to my high weight when it was taken.

seakat 07-12-2012 12:19 AM

Oh man, I need to do this. I am totally in. To stay on goal I need to:

*Track what I eat and count calories and carbs
*Eat gluten free
*Exercise at least 5 times a week
*Drink at least 4L of water a day

Woot. Let this fun begin!

envelope 07-12-2012 10:41 PM

Welcome Seakat!

Day 5
I woke up early and could not fall back to sleep...so I went for a jog! It felt great. Today I ran a bunch of errands with my kids, then had to head out for the evening. Was on my feet all night, I did not log as many steps as I thought I would, although standing up burns more cals than sitting. I was still way over my goal which makes me happy.

envelope 07-14-2012 08:52 AM

Day 6 Went by quickly!

Day 7 is going to be super busy, but I have a plan so I should reach my goals!

KatieBug 07-14-2012 10:31 AM

This is a wonderful idea! I have been 100 percent on plan, (except for two dove chocolates, what can I say its TOM) for the last 12 days! (today is day 13) so I will definitely be doing the 100 percent for 100 days challenge! thank you for giving all of this wonderful idea!

envelope 07-15-2012 12:29 AM

Day 7 Goals reached!

Katiebug, glad you are joining in! I did not come up with the idea, but really enjoyed the 100 days on plan thread last summer.

envelope 07-16-2012 12:15 AM

Day 8 Completed!

angieand2girls 07-16-2012 09:48 PM

This type of challenge is EXACTLY what I've been looking for because I had already planned to not weigh myself until after I completed 100 days! To be 100% I must:

Drink at least 64 oz of water every day
Exercise 3 - 6 days per week
Eat between 1,200 - 1,400 calories a day

I re-started my journey on July 2nd so I've been at it for 14 days already. But since I went to Chicago this weekend and splurged (lol), I'll start Day 1 today. Here's to 100 days on plan!! :)

angieand2girls 07-16-2012 09:49 PM

DAY 1

I'm back on track after a fun-filled weekend in Chicago and I had a great day! :)

envelope 07-16-2012 10:08 PM

Welcome Angie!

Day 9 complete! I was exhausted today, and did not get in a lot of movement, so while my daughters were at swim practice I did laps around the pool. Now I am heading to bed early, hopefully I will have more energy tomorrow.

angieand2girls 07-17-2012 06:07 PM

Thank you envelope! :)

DAY 2

I'm finished with Day 2. I stayed on plan and I feel great! I'm going to take the rest of the day to relax in front of the TV and watch some movies.

envelope 07-18-2012 02:56 AM

day 10 - in progress. it is late, but i am not getting off of the elliptical till i get my 8000 steps. i spent most of the day creating a presentation. I pushed it with cals to 1795...stress eating...atleast i kept it under control. 1000 more steps than bed time.

angieand2girls 07-18-2012 11:40 AM

Wow, now that's determination! How do you still have fuel so late at night! LOL!

envelope 07-18-2012 12:08 PM

Angie, it was pure determination. When I am running errands, cleaning house, etc. it is not too difficult to reach my goal of 8000 steps a day, but yesterday I looked at my steps when I stopped working on my Prezi and saw I had only take 3400 steps for the entire day, which for me is just ridiculously low!!! If I had not been doing this challenge, I would have just went to bed. :O)

tyla 07-18-2012 05:38 PM

I would like to join you guys. I've had some serious off track issues, and I really need this thread to get my motivataion back. Thanks, guys. My plan is to stay in range (1200-1400) Cals and exercise everyday. This is day 1. :)

KatieBug 07-18-2012 06:42 PM

Today is day 17! I have been doing wonderful, but today I started my period. Which is fine, but I have some really bad cravings going on!! Like really. I usually crave like the week before, but today its just really hit me hard. I know I wont cave, every time I have the urge to I get right on this site on my phone and read some posts and the temptations go right away! So I might be on here a lot for the next few days... Haha! But I'm thinking that's better than a binge for sure. I feel great, besides being super bloated today. Working out today was hard with my severe cramps too, but you just gotta keep pushing forward!

angieand2girls 07-18-2012 09:39 PM

Welcome Tyla! Let's stay motivated together. The more the merrier! When I saw this challenge I felt like it was perfect for me to be accountable and stay on track :)

KatieBug, you are doing awesome!! Exercising through severe cramps REALLY takes determination! I've done it before and it kills lol.

DAY 3 is complete for me and it was another successful day! Looking forward to tomorrow. :)

envelope 07-18-2012 10:27 PM

Welcome Tyla!

Angie - you are doing great.

Katiebug - Look at you go!!!

Day 11 done - it sure was long after being up so late last night. :)

mesofit22 07-19-2012 01:13 AM

This would be a great accomplishment! I have tons of weight to lose and 100 days of 100% would definitely help a lot!!!

I will try this challenge!

My goals will be to
1. Keep my carbs under 100
2. Weight train every other day
3. Drink about 2L of water

tyla 07-19-2012 12:37 PM

Thanks for the warm welcome, Angie and Envelope.

I'm happy to say this is day 2! I feel so much better already! This 100% challenge is fantastic!

angieand2girls 07-19-2012 12:45 PM

Tyla - I'm sure you will be well past your goal by the time you hit 100 days! You are SO close! :)

Mesofit22 - Welcome!! Those are great goals! Let's kick some butt! :)

Envelope - you are due for a good, LONG night's sleep! lol! I hope you got some good sleep last night.

envelope 07-19-2012 09:33 PM

Welcome meso!

I hope everyone is having a great day.

I slept well last night! :) I am going to bed early tonight too. Just have to get in some more steps first.

ETA Day 12 COMPLETED

angieand2girls 07-19-2012 09:55 PM

DAY 4 complete.

Another OP day. Gotta love it. :)

tyla 07-20-2012 02:47 PM

Yay, this is day 3! :yay:

It's great to feel sane again! Angie, thanks for your kind words. Hope you're right. These last 10 lbs. have been brutal. For now, I'm staying off the scale. When it doesn't move, somehow I'm affected by that food-wise. I've been yo-yoing a lot. This challenge should keep me more focused.

envelope 07-20-2012 07:46 PM

Angie and Tyla I am glad to hear you are both doing great.

I am getting ready to hop on the elliptical again...I need to work on getting in my steps earlier in the day! :p

mesofit22 07-20-2012 10:35 PM

Thanks for the welcome Angieand2girls and Envelope

My goals
1. Keep my carbs under 100
2. Weight train every other day
3. Drink about 2L of water

Day 1- I only accomplished goals 2 and 3

So I am starting at day 1 again.

angieand2girls 07-21-2012 03:25 AM

Hi everyone! It is LATE! (like 3:21am my time). I just got home from the emergency with my daughter. She hadn't moved her bowels in 3 days and she was SCREAMING and crying in pain today trying to get it out. Poor thing. She had to have an enema, but thankfully she was relieved. She told me today, "Mom, I'm going to start eating oatmeal for breakfast!" lol Now she's getting it lol.

DAY 5 complete even though it was a late one! I ate on plan, drank my water, and exercised! Now time for sleeeeeeeep!

envelope 07-21-2012 09:24 AM

Day 13 complete!
meso - that is the great thing about this challenge, if you have an off day you can restart it and keep going if you need to. As the numbers start getting bigger, it provides extra motivation to reach your daily goals. The day I was working on a project I could have thrown in the towel and eaten even more, or not hopped on the elliptical to get my steps up. Instead I wanted to reach my daily goals...so this challenge helped keep me focused. :)

angie - I am glad your daughter is doing better. Congrats on reaching your goals even with a super long and stressful day.

Today I have a ton of laundry waiting for me. Laundry should help me get my steps in earlier, since I have to go up and down the stairs to get it done.

tyla 07-21-2012 09:26 AM

Day 4! :woohoo:

envelope, great job on the elliptical!

envelope 07-21-2012 09:05 PM

Day 14 Completed!!! My desire to complete this challenge seems to grow and grow. I am sure their will be highs and lows but I know that I CAN do this.

Now if only I had the same desire to get my laundry completed. :p

angieand2girls 07-21-2012 10:36 PM

Envelope - you DEFINITELY can do this and I'm going to be right there doing it with you! I have a huge desire to complete this challenge too. It has been 7 years since I've completed 100 consecutive days of being health conscious. Too long.

DAY 6 is complete and in the bag! :)

angieand2girls 07-22-2012 08:00 PM

DAY 7 complete! Ready for the new week! :)

envelope 07-22-2012 08:10 PM

Angie you are doing great.

Day 15 is complete!

I am working to reach 50 flights of steps climbed today. Only 7 left and atleast 3 hours before I go to bed. :)

ETA - I did it! Then while I was watching my favorite tv show, ArmyWives, I walked around the living room and hopped on the elliptical for the last 15 min.

tyla 07-23-2012 03:11 PM

Day 6! :woohoo:

Everyone is doing a great job. Let's keep going>>> :)

envelope 07-23-2012 11:59 PM

Tyla - Congratulations on completing Day 6!

My legs are sooooo tired, but in a good way. I started c25k with my daughters, then I put The Help audiobook on one of my daughters ipods and went out for a jog by myself when they girls went to bed! I doubled my minimum steps for the day!!! Stayed within my cal range!!! Drank more than enough water!!! Counted every calorie!!! I have also been doing 1 squat for each day...although I have not made that an official goal for this challenge. Day 16 finished!
