Good morning all :coffee2:

Wow CurvyNerd, great going with the peach cobbler and that's beautiful that your mom supported you ! That's love.

Today should go well. I've found that I like eating apples every day - the little Gala ones that you buy in a bag. I used to never really like apples, unless I baked them w/cinnamon (just cinnamon, nothing else). But in the past few weeks I've been finding that fruit and iced coffee do the trick when I'm feeling that 'pull'.

Have a fantastic day everybody

Good morning everyone ;)

Exhale - :bravo: to you for not giving in to the cookies! I hope today goes much better for you. Stay strong.

CurvyNerd - That was so nice of your mom to support you in your efforts! I'm with you - We can do this! We're already on day 5.

I hope everyone else is doing okay.

Yesterday was very good for me and today should be okay too. CurvyNerd I may try some SF frozen yogurt today. We have it in the cafeteria at work. The challenge will be for me to only get 4 ozs :(

I hope you all have a great day.

Although 'it' has been on my mind, it's just too hot where I am to get overloaded.....so I've had lots and lots of iced tea today...

Another successful day :woohoo:

We went out to eat tonight and I almost said Coke when the waiter asked what I was drinking. Almost. Instead I said water and it didn't bother me to be drinking water like it normally does. This is hard but we can do it! I hope everyone is doing well.

Way to go Curvynerd on the water! Exhale- baked cinnamon apples sound SO good... This sugar free challenge is forcing me to cook at home and I've been making a lot of homemade "treats" it's actually kind of fun! :P

Keep up the good work y'all! ;-)

Exhale15 07-06-2012 08:46 AM

Good morning everyone :)

danzingurl77 - the baked apples are really good. It's surprising how good, with just cinnamon added! I like to mix-up different types --- hmmmm, maybe I'll try that in my slow-cooker today (?)

Everyone have a great day!

Happy Friday ladies,

CurveyNerd - Great job on the water choice :cp:

It's nice to see that we are all hanging in there. We're already on day 6!!!

Yesterday was another sugar free day for me and today should be a breeze. Tomorrow will be a bit of a challenge though. Tomorrow may be a challenge but I am determined to make it day 7.

I hope everyone has a great day!

I know it's only 3pm, but I got back from the grocery a little bit ago and I really struggled for a bit but came home with no sugar-stuff. I looked at the rows of boxed cakes, and honestly couldn't find anything that would not make me sick and regretful :wl:. So I got some unsweetened almond milk and made an icey with a spoon of instant coffee when I got home. Now I'm fine :)

Hope everyone is successful today :)

Friday July 6.....296 (-2lb)
Tuesday evening I ate one of those small ice cream things on a stick - I forgot what they are called). I had just completely forgotten about the sugar free challenge. But that was my only sugar for the week.

darius, that's great :bravo:

Hey Curvynerd, I will do it with you. I will do no refined sugars for the month of July. Sugar is unhealthy and plays a huge role in over eating and weight gain. So this means anything with sugar in it...not just sweets...check your ingredient lists of everything you eat....you will see most packaged foods have sugar in them. What had helped me in the past, is not eating any processed foods at all, just meat, fish, veggies and fruit....I am a big fan of just shopping along the perimeter of the grocery store.... Let's do it. I am for real.

Morning everybody, Happy Saturday.
Hi Lulu, welcome.

The Paleo diet is interesting and makes sense regarding processed carbs. The only thing is, I'd like to become less reliant on animal flesh in favor of beans and legumes.

Have a great strong day everyone and stay cool and unsweetened :)

CurvyNerd 07-07-2012 03:22 PM

I hope everyone is doing well. I am still going strong on day 7. Lulu, I agree. There are many things that have sugar added. I'm avoiding those as well. For me, this isn't just about losing weight. I want to prove to myself that I can stick to something.

danzingurl77 07-07-2012 05:28 PM

This no-sugar thing truly keeps getting better- my junk food cravings have almost completely disappeared and I have a lot more energy, each day it seems to get a little easier to say no.

I'm glad everyone is doing so well on this challenge!
