Hi everyone, I did well today. I think next month, I'm adding bagels to the 'mix to nix'. Some days, a bagel is the heaviest thing I eat all day. It would be nice to get them out of my usual rotation. But I like my 'bagel places' - it's a social thing....like some folks have bars and clubs, I have my bagel places......this one's going to be tough :(

Happy Friday! I hope everyone is doing okay. We have 5 more days left in July so let's all end the month strong. Even if we're not 100% SF, let's just try and stick to our eating & exercise plans 100%. This challenge really helped me to get back on track with my eating & working out so thanks to everyone for the support. Have a great day :carrot: |
I've really appreciated this challenge too! :) Thanks for starting it! I've been doing really well this week and have been able to get all my carb consumption back under control. Will carry on next month!

Great work on the SF diet and I totally hear you on the social aspect of eating the foods we love. Bagels can be a tough one to give up but I know that you can do it if you put your mind to it. It's been my experience that after not eating bread for about 5 days it gets easier to resist. Bread is addicting you know, that's way it's hard at first. But I promise it will get easier and I you will feel lighter with out it too. Also I read something really interesting about bread and carbs in general....when we eat them, the hormones that tells our bodies that we are full take longer to trigger compared to when we eat protein and healthy sources of fat. In other words when we eat carbs it takes longer for us to feel satisfied. Hope this helps....let me know if I can be of any support as I have been on a bread free diet for months now. Lulu |
Good job everyone on the sugar fee diet. I too will keep this going for August....can you all believe we're in August already...OMG. Time does seem to go faster and faster as the years go on.
