Hi Everyone!
Back from my sunny beach vacation. Will weigh in tomorrow - it will be interesting. I had a fairly OP week. I'm pumping H2O today, as you all know, even when On Plan, restaurant food is salty etc. 40lbs- You go girl!!!!! Doesn't it feel great! Congrats also to Country, Vicki, Stlrsgrl Sandy - I hear ya. I havent' lost that much since the beginning of this challenge, but I'm going to hang in there. If we all focus on our plans, it will come off. I'll check back in tomorrow. To my great disappointment, when I stepped on the scale this morning it read just a hair shy of 170. (I have an old analog scale, so it's not very precise). That's the same number, 3 weeks in a row! But I was down to 168-169 earlier this week, so I'm stacking it up to TTOM. I've been at this losing weight thing for about three weeks, and I started just after my period, so I have no sense of how that affects things. (I normally go by the old "how tight are my pants test)... But I've been mostly OP, and working out a lot, and the pants are looser, so hopefully it's just water weight! I'm headed out of town for a big conference this week - pretty much all meals from a buffet or served plated. Any tips for staying OP when travelling? (It's a great hotel and supposedly has a nice gym, so I should be able to fit in my workouts, at least.) OK, so I gained 2lbs on vacation. I'm up 1lb over my challenge start weight. YIKES!!!!
The bad - I've lost a couple of weeks. The good - There would have been a time when I gained way over 5lbs on vacation. I'll just keep going. Congrats to all of you who are having success!!!! Roncy, I hear your frustration with the scale. I was bouncing around at 184 for almost a month, but it finally gave in & seems to have finally dropped. Now I'm bouncing around 182. LOL I love the fact that my jeans that were previously too tight are fitting the way they should now & my jeans that used to fit pretty good are getting a lot of sag to them. It makes me forget all about that evil scale. Annie, great mind set. Get right back on woman & don't give up! Woohoo! Hope everyone has a great OP day. Kim |

Hello everyone! Sorry for taking so long to check in. I hurt my lower back a few days ago. It's so much better now, but it really hurt when I did it. I'm still exercising through it but taking it really easy. Obviously, no waist twisting disc for me for a while.
Congratulations to everyone who has lost weight since I've been away. Vicki, my goodness...you are so close to being in the 200s! I'm very happy for you. I have no idea what I weigh. I didn't weigh in on Saturday after I found out I had gained weight after that one meal. I want to try really hard staying super strict on my diet and exercise plan (limit the salty meats) and weigh in this coming Saturday. I'll tell ya...I am so sick of the 190s, ladies. I have been here waaaaay too long. Time to visit the 180s for a while. :D |
Good morning ladies!!! I have not been AWOL, just a super busy week for me. I had my weigh in this morning and was down 1.9, so I was happy with that. I am on week 2 of C25K and it is getting easier every day.
I am at work so I haven't had a chance to go back and read everyones posts for the past week, but I know you are all doing well and sticking with it!!! Hope to have a chance to catch up tonight and will post more then. Everyone have a great day and keep drinking that water and move, move, move:) |
Congrats to all who have made progress. To those who aren't having the results they want, hang in there. I know my weight has been bouncing erratically the last few days and I don't like it, it makes it really hard to stick to whatever it is that you are doing. So, like I said, hang in there.
I am down 2.9 lbs this week and am thinking my goal might have been more than a little ambitious... lol. Sandy- Sorry to hear about your back.. Mine has been killing me in my lower back alot lately so I kinda know where ya coming from... I hear ya not about being in 190's I would LOVE to be there but hope you get to 180's soon... Well I don't post much been busy being stressed. I ain't been weighing, exercising, or eating right lately.. All my fault because I let myself stress eat... I am going to try and stay on plan this week.. I am had a pretty good day today and am loving life. Thankful for everything I have just stress about not having a job and all the bills that are due and trying to get school work done.. Just skimmed through the post so I will try to read everyone post prob tomorrow Hope everyone have a good weekend.. |
Hello my friends! This week has been crazy at work but there were no party lunches so it made life easier. I have something going on in my stomach - my Google diagnosis is an ulcer but I see the Dr. on Monday for his input. The good news is I have not wanted to eat the past 2 days since it hurt. This had me go from 309.9 on Wednesday to 306.2 today. Ok...not really good way to lose but sometimes I will take the loss where I can get it. :)
As I was reading thru the posts it made me really grateful for all of you. This forum provides along with a challenge, a place to be supported and completely honest. I have really got from this that it doesn't matter if I lose 1 lb., 5 lbs. or gain a lb. in a week. It matters that I have a place to be honest about it and that I don't give up. That is what I get from all of you. Thanks and :hug: |
Hi Everyone! I got into the Girl Scout Cookies the last couple of nights - enough said. I will buckle down today and tomorrow for a Monday weigh-in. Yikes. After coming back from vacation with a 2lb gain (not too bad) and then having a fairly decent OP week, I'm disappointed. I can feel the belly bloat. Anyway, I got them out of the house.
Here's a thought for myself - I ate too many cookies. Yes, I over ate. But..... I will not hate myself. I will not do the self-loathing thing. I think if a thin person overate, they would just say "wow, that wasn't good, I'll have to cut back somewhere else." Would they emotionally punish themselves????? Can we focus on the remedy and not do a character assassination on ourselves? We must do this to succeed, otherwise we seek food for solace. I know we all say "get back to it, today is a new day" but do we really take it to heart for ourselves. Do you guys get what I mean? Sandy - Sorry about your back. Take it easy, and it will heal up quicker. Vicky - I hope all goes well at the Dr. Whatever it is, it will be good to know about and deal with. Fiyah - My weight has been bouncing around too, but I know why ;). 2.9lbs is fabulous!!!! Congrats on that. Kandd - Loose jeans - a huge Victory. Have a great day On Plan everyone!!!! I am going to the field today and get some flying in. It helps relieve stress as long my bf don't rake my nerves lol... I fly RC planes(not toy ones from walmart) the ones I fly cost from $50-$5000 depending on the size and what you put in it lol. I have vid of me flying on my youtube if ya want to see. my user name is countrybarbie22...Also you have to check out matt botos on youtube he a heli pilot at my club and rated number 6 I went flying yesterday and tried to get in as much walking as I possibly could. Walking from one side the field to the other. I plan on getting as much walking in today also. Sorry for the long post just thought quoting would make it easier on me.
