Hi all, it has been another sick day for me... I have been fighting the flu, stomach virus, etc.... for about 6 weeks hopefully I will finally get better. Being sick is so exhausting. If all goes well I will be able to go back to the gym sometime this week. Never thought I would say I miss that LOL. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day :)

I'm also in!!!!! I have entered a 3 month weight loss challenge at work winners get 150.00 dollars... ; ) my goal for thus months is 10-15 pounds.... Fingers cross!!!! Wish me lots of luck, I'm gonna need it...

I'm definitely in. I used to do these monthly challenges here a few years ago but life sidetracked me, so I would love to get back in. Starting weight 188 for the month and goal is 8 pounds.

mystical: Congratulations on winning the contest at your gym! And way to go taking the steps to halt the gains before they take over - that's the way to do it. :) I hear you on being sick - I swear I spent most of the month of December either fighting bad colds or recovering from the side effects of some treatments. I hope January is a much healthier month for both of us!

gardenerjoy: That's what I'm worried about with maintenance - finding things to keep me going other than seeing the number go down on the scale! That's what gets me out of bed most days, lol. Congrats on doing so well so far!

brunette: Welcome to 3FC!! I hope you'll stick it out with us here! You can post your weight and updates as often as you like - totally up to you. I tend to do a lot of talking to myself on threads around this forum... posting frequently helps me to stay on track. :)

Koshinogi: Congrats to you for getting back here to get the job done! :D

ferretgirl: A great reminder for all of us re exercise and nutrition. :) I have kept losing through the holidays but have been eating much more poorly than usual on some days out of convenience (higher on fat and lower on nutrients), and I've got to knock it off! I don't just want to lose weight, I want to feel good as well.

bliss3244: Ooooo, I so want to see you win that contest!!! I am going to be paying close attention this month! :D

I've got a slight headache today that probably from sugar withdrawal ;) but aspirin is keeping it under control.

Chickadee - Been a couple months since I have seen ya girl, you are rocking this!!!! :) I am in this month: Start weight 193.6 (don't have the heart to change ticker) End of January Goal: 186.6. Total weight loss goal looking to achieve 7lbs. As long as my body cooperates, I think it's high, but doable :)

I'm in for 8lbs! I've just joined the site, hoping that losing 8lbs in January will nicely kick off the start of my weight loss (this time!) :) Starting weight for the month is 183 lbs.

Just thought I would check in and read up on everyones progress thus far. Hope your week is off to a great start. I am still reeling from the holidays and just now starting to see the water weight dissipate. Hopefully that is good news towards my goal for the month. In any case you ladies are doing great. :bravo:

susie: Oh, but you'll feel so good once that withdrawl is over! I think I need to cut back on my sodium and go through that withdrawl - I am craving crunchy, salty, junky foods all the time lately!! I would kill for some Doritos, lol.

ItsMyTurn: Yay, so good to see you again!! You're going to do great this month. :D (And I wouldn't change my ticker either - you're going to blow right past it in the next few weeks anyway ;) )

tavvy: Woohoo, way to go! That's a pretty awesome start to the month!

RoadtoFifty: I'm just the furthest thing from a morning person that you can imagine, so getting on the scale to see a lower number gets me to stop hitting the snooze button! But you're right; I definitely need to learn to focus on more than just the number on the scale, as there is SO much more that is awesome about the weight loss than just the number. And :lol: ok, I'll be there to tell you the same, but I kinda think that menopause is a legitimate reason to b*tch, regardless!
