    So I didn't meet my goal of 169.0, but at least I'm closer than I was on the 1st. Maybe I'll get it right next month.
  • Ok.. not happy. I have been fighting medical pain for a week and a half... had TOM start today... and the scale went up - so much for meeting goal this month. My WI today was 196...and I refuse to change my ticker. Oh well... it was a nice thought to make goal... looks like it will have to be next month. I always come out of the gate running cause TOM ends... then I lose and lose...then stall week 3 and put back on week 4... 2 steps forward, 1 step back.. fortunately it still means progress, just not the progress I try for

    Chickadee - I WILL meet ONE of these dang goals... I swear I will... no reason you shouldn't be able to put me in red once! LOL!

  • penmage: Ending the month lower than where you started is the definition of success here! Our pledges are our goals, and working toward them is important and motivating, but making progress at all is something to be celebrated. Congratulations on losing this month!

    ItsMyTurn: I am with you!!! I'm so sorry your loss patterns have been so frustrating, but you are definitely making progress no matter what the scale says today. One of these months you will end on the high (low!) note you deserve!

    I too am still struggling to meet my goal; the scale has been stuck for the last 4 days, despite the fact that my BodyBugg indicates I've had a deficit of nearly 5000 calories during that time. I am still fighting to meet my goal by my last weigh-in this month on Tues morning, but I am somehow certain that the scale will go up over the next few days just to screw with me, lol.
  • Chickadee - I think it's a scale conspiracy! LOL! They always say there are government conspiracy theories... I think they missed the weight loss conspiracy, LOL!

    This is just absolutely true isn't it.

    This month by month review has really worked for me to see that i am making progress whereas in the past if i have not lost weight for say a week i would get grumpy and be more likely to give up.

    In other words i was working on much too small a time scale, and this monthly thing has really taught me to be more patient and to enjoy small differences over a much longer time period.

    God darn it, I'm almost there!!! Why doesn't October have 33 days?

    Anyyywaayyyyy, big picture is... I'm gonna be melting snow with my hotness by Xmas :P
  • Didn't make my Oct. goal but still ready for a November challenge...I just need to get moving and stop slacking on my exercise! Congrats to those of you who made it and for those like me...good luck for next month!
  • I weighed myself this morning, Nov 1st, I'm well ahead of you guys due to the time difference, and... I failed my goal of reaching 75 kilos

    I did reach 75.7 though That's 700grams/1.5lbs off target

    None the less, I did lose 9.5lbs this month which is not on target but I'll take it New goal has been established -> 10% weight loss! That puts my November goal at 7lbs

    ange: It's totally true, isn't it. It's a perspective I try to keep in mind myself, though it's tough since the scale has been messing with me lately. I'm glad these monthly goals have been helpful for you; you're doing so well!!


    So as predicted the scale went up the other morning by 2 lbs after four straight days of being at 173.7 lbs, and just to mess with me it jumped up another few tenths this morning. This despite having a calorie deficit of >1000 cals/day every day, according to my food log and BodyBugg. I HATE THIS WATER WEIGHT; it's driving me batty! So I end the month at 175.9, which I just have to live with, grrr. Oh well, on to November, with the hope that my body will start to settle down a bit soon!

    Any other reports for October? I'll post the final goal summary later tonight.
  • chickadee - sorry to hear your frustration with your weight suddenly popping up, but at least it means you've got a 'good' starting point for November!

    so is it worth doing a final tally board for October, or was there only two that met target?
