Thanks everyone for being so welcoming, I will probably weigh in tomorrow. The whole Hurricane Irene thing threw me of my gym schedule.. I spent most of today running around looking for flash light, water, snacks etc. Come to think of it I probably lost some weight with all that running around. I hope the news is good when I weigh myself. Fingers crossed.

glad everyone is doing well here. I'm looking forward to my WI on Sunday, and making some additional progress. I will still be in the 220s, but closer to the teens, and that means closer to Onederland!

i hope no one minds if i jump in. i'm working my way to onederland as well. im close but seem to be stuck. not following a specific plan (can't afford anything fancy) so does anyone have any tips for a broke girl with bad knees? haha

Good morning everyone,

jamber1234 - :welcome: and just jump right in. You are soooo close. I know you will make it soon. My sister has bad knees and she's able to use a stationary bike. Are you counting calories? That might help. There are quite a few free sites where you can track your calories. I am following the Weight Watchers plan.

I'm ready for another great week. My total loss last week was 3.4 pounds. I'm hoping for at least 2 this week.

Great thread to start GettinFit!

I would LOVE to be under 200 by the end of October. My husband is away at school (army) and he gets home at the end of October. I haven't been under 200 in probably 10 or 11 years. I don't know for sure how much I weighed when I met my husband when I was 15, but it was probably right around 200 or a bit under. I would love to pick him up at the airport and be that size again, he hasn't seen me that small in a loooooooong time. =)

I'm down to 216.6 today. I'm in my zone now and I can just see the scale saying 199:D

So, I am doing ok today. I still dont qualify for one of those bars with the goals on them yet but I weighed 235 about 3 weeks ago and I now weigh 227.6. So I hope to be under 220 by end of September. This is a great group. Great Job EVERYONE
