Christmas Challenge?
 
After having such a good start to the year and finding this board invaluable for help, support and the competitive element it provides, I've recently been working a summer residential camp and had my food choices taken out of my hands, and now NEED to get back on track.

The next major goal in my life is Christmas, so was wondering if anyone else out there wants to make a challenge that works towards Christmas as a goal?

If anyone else is interested we can brainstorm the form the challenge will take, and set official start/finish dates and other such things over this week maybe?

If you fancy a longer term challenge to get fit/slim/healthy for Christmas, here's the place to say!

Sounds great! I would love to participate and be a little leaner for the holidays.

Right now, I seem to have hit a plateau so I look forward to the extra motivation. We have more or less 4 months to go so I think we can all make a few positive changes.

Keeperofthehome and shanhat81, welcome aboard! I hope this challenge can really get us all motivated and back on track, right the way up to Christmas (it's going to be tough!)

What kind of approach do people want to take to the challenge?

Personal goal setting? weekly weigh ins and targets? teams? Exercise challenges? Food challenges? NSV as well as things scale related?

Share your ideas, and maybe we'll set 25th August for start weights? 3 months to Christmas?

Excellent, great to see people signing up :)

For weigh ins why don't we make a Sunday deadline each week, but it's up to each individual when exactly they wish to weigh in before that?

I can update the stats each Monday morning UK time, so Sunday eve for all of you in the US? and everyone just needs to get their weight to me before then?

We can make the 25th August start weight an optional extra for those who want to see the difference for the 3 calender months, but make the official start weight anytime between then and the Sunday evening?

I'm happy to do % losses, and keep totals for week to week and the challenge as a whole.

It'd also be nice if we could set different challenges each week, be they exercise/food/lifestyle based. Obviously these would be optional if they fit in with your own plans, but a good way to keep us all motivated.
