20 lbs by April 1st!
Hey ladies/gents!
I'm in need of making a goal! And need support in doing so, I want to lose 15-20 lbs by April 1st. I will almost be at goal at that point! Wondering if there is anyone out there that can be a cheerleader or if they want the same thing! |
Yes!! These are exactly my targets, too! I'm brand new to the site and still need to find all the tools and gadgets, but I'd be thrilled to be able to check in with someone (and feel encouraged when I inevitably get off track).

Hey!! i am working towards a 24 lb loss by summer. and i am also from Saskatchewan!! i for one find it harder to work out in this cold weather but am lighting a fire under my butt :)

I'm glad we all have very similar goals! This will be great! I'm in Saskatoon! It gets so damn cold in Sask, I don't go outside if I don't have to :( |
Count me in! We are the same height and very close to the same weight right now! I started at almost 185 this summer and got down to 165, then went off track for a while and started back about two weeks ago at 172.6 and am currently at 167.4. That was this morning and hoping that it holds....course I will take another loss :-)
My goal is to get to 150 by April 1st. And motivation is definitely something that helps! I say we do weekly or daily weigh ins and monthly measurements? |

As of today (starting Monday) I'm signed up for a boot camp in my home town! I'm pretty excited but nervous! It is for 3 months and is 2 times a week! |
yes! thats my goal too..i'm aiming for 5lbs a month for the next 3 months. I think (i hope) its doable. i just need to get motivated and off my lazy ***. I started in October and i've lost 15lbs since then..so I just need to keep the pace I'm doing now but I worried i've stalled. :-/

167.4 This morning. Starting to see a pattern with my weight loss. Drops a little bit, holds for a day or so, jumps ever so slightly and then drops a bit again. Hope I can keep it up!
I watched a show on TV last night about a girl who lost 90 lbs in 90 days. Not sure that is the healthiest thing to do but man it would be nice :-) |

Nice! Keep on keeping on! It will pay off. Today was cheat meal day. Its something I always allow myself, within reason. But always hate seeing the scale the next morning. ugh.

I'd like to join in on this! I hope to be starting a new job as a waitress in April and I know if I could lose 20lbs it would make me feel great! I will also be going back to school. Is going to be hard to leave the family I'm with now(currently a nanny) but I know going to school is best for me and loseing this weight will help motivate me I think!lol.

Keke-We have basically the same stats. I REALLY want to get to 225 by April but in reality I'm not sure so i'm saying 235.
I did my first day of JM's 30DS and OMG my legs hurt but i feel great mentally and its giving me motivation! I lost another 4lbs. So now im at SW:255 CW:251 GW:235 |

I'm doing 2 JM videos everyday and am sooo sore! But I guess it's paying off cuz Im down to 248.0. That's 3 pounds!yay!
I'm also really enjoying the diet I'm on now, I'm even considering becoming a vegitarian again. I have a dr appt March first and I hope to have lost 15lbs by then. Then I want to lose another 10 in the month if march to bring me to 230 by April 1st. |

And hello to Saskers from Alberta (hello to everyone else as well too)! :D I've been at this about a week now on my own and I went from 144 to 141 in the last 7 days, working out 5 days per week and skipping all the deathly diet killer "white" stuff. My first goal is to be 135 by Valentine's day to look more toned and smexy in my lingerie. Haha, but after that I want to set a goal of 130 for St Patties and then 125 for my birthday April 9th! Then my goal is to maintain that and tone up in all these other (mommy) type areas that are hard to tone for my 10 year HS reunion. I'm feeling pretty committed already and just want to help motivate and have people to stay in touch with when these stressed moments get the best of me and make me over eat. Hugs!

I wanna play! I'm ultimately trying to lose A LOT of weight and get overall healthy so that I can try for a baby next year.
April 8 is my anniversary, and that next weekend I'm going to Vegas with a girlfriend for her birthday... so I definitely have a few things that I want to be 20 lbs lighter for! LOL. I've lost 10 lbs the last 2.5 weeks but I'm not expecting that to be 'the norm'. In any event, I'd like to be down to 295 by April 1st (losing about 2 lbs a week). Currently at 318. I track weekly on Fridays. |
Hi Everyone - I think this a good place for me. It's winter here too (I'm in snow country in BC) and I hate going outside - because of the icy roads, etc. So maybe I can get a kick in the butt to get going with DVD;s & back to aqua fit (indoor pool of course! lol )

Im still stuck at 248!! I'm mad with myself cuz I cheat when i dont see a difference in the numbers ehich then makes them go up...and so on. Its also been a very hard week.

Find something other than food to comfort yourself with. I keep a selection of bubble bath and nail polishes to keep my feet and my hands from wandering in the kitchen.

Honeybee - You are right about the 10 lbs being fast. I think it is a gift we get for getting started. But just keep moving forward. Two pounds per week is noble and still acheiveable. |
Hi everyone, I'm just checking in to see how everyone is doing? Are you seeing the results you hoped for? If not, what can you do differently so that you can get back on track?
I'm doing well. Went to aquafit this morning, getting ready to declutter, clean, wash, organize the house, and then headed back to aquafit tonight. I'm hoping for a 2lb loss this week. My weigh-in day is on Friday. I used to weigh everyday but I didn't want to feel 'controlled' by the numbers on the scale, especially with the day-to-day fluctuations in weight. So I'll peak sometimes mid-week :D, b/c that's just how it goes. have a great evening and a great weekend! |

We are depriving ourselves of success, or depriving ourselves of reaching our goals. You can do it honey! I agree with Sea, perhaps you can find something to do to comfort yourselves besides eating. Maybe play a few songs while you shake your booty to the tunes, or similar. Or if you do need to eat, try to limit the amount and also the type (perhaps instead of fatty foods you could eat some fruit or something similar). It may take some time, but try different things until you figure out what works best for you! HUGS :hug: |
