I wanna play! I'm ultimately trying to lose A LOT of weight and get overall healthy so that I can try for a baby next year.

April 8 is my anniversary, and that next weekend I'm going to Vegas with a girlfriend for her birthday... so I definitely have a few things that I want to be 20 lbs lighter for! LOL.

I've lost 10 lbs the last 2.5 weeks but I'm not expecting that to be 'the norm'. In any event, I'd like to be down to 295 by April 1st (losing about 2 lbs a week). Currently at 318. I track weekly on Fridays.

Hi Everyone - I think this a good place for me. It's winter here too (I'm in snow country in BC) and I hate going outside - because of the icy roads, etc. So maybe I can get a kick in the butt to get going with DVD;s & back to aqua fit (indoor pool of course! lol )

Im still stuck at 248!! I'm mad with myself cuz I cheat when i dont see a difference in the numbers ehich then makes them go up...and so on. Its also been a very hard week.

Find something other than food to comfort yourself with. I keep a selection of bubble bath and nail polishes to keep my feet and my hands from wandering in the kitchen.

Honeybee - You are right about the 10 lbs being fast. I think it is a gift we get for getting started. But just keep moving forward. Two pounds per week is noble and still acheiveable.

Hi everyone, I'm just checking in to see how everyone is doing? Are you seeing the results you hoped for? If not, what can you do differently so that you can get back on track?

I'm doing well. Went to aquafit this morning, getting ready to declutter, clean, wash, organize the house, and then headed back to aquafit tonight.

I'm hoping for a 2lb loss this week. My weigh-in day is on Friday. I used to weigh everyday but I didn't want to feel 'controlled' by the numbers on the scale, especially with the day-to-day fluctuations in weight. So I'll peak sometimes mid-week :D, b/c that's just how it goes.

Hi there, the reason I posted the definition is b/c I think it's important for us to remember and really understand what it means we 'cheat'. We are depriving ourselves of success, or depriving ourselves of reaching our goals.

You can do it honey! I agree with Sea, perhaps you can find something to do to comfort yourselves besides eating. Maybe play a few songs while you shake your booty to the tunes, or similar. Or if you do need to eat, try to limit the amount and also the type (perhaps instead of fatty foods you could eat some fruit or something similar).

It may take some time, but try different things until you figure out what works best for you! HUGS :hug:

I feel that way sometimes too, which is why I can't be one of those daily weighers people. The flux and constant up and down of day to day weight would drive me crazy. I need to see real results to have motivation to keep going. So I try to only weigh myself once a week or every two weeks.

But don't give up! Sometimes we hit a wall or there are weeks where our body is more resistant to losing the weight than other weeks. Just keep up the hard work. It'll come off! :)

I'd like to join this challenge as well! Twenty pounds by April 1st sounds amazing. I'm already in the Memorial Day Challenge down to lose two jeans sizes before Memorial Day. So a 20 lb. challenge for April 1st would definitely fit in with me goals!

Hey guys! I know im a little late joining this challege, but i was wondering if I could get in with you guys! My goal is gonna be more like 15 lbs since its already close to february. I currently weigh 210 so im gonna shoot for around 195! Ive already started eating better and im going walking/jogging this afternnoon ;) im gonna try my hardest! Good lucky everyone!

Welcome! It's not too late. Even starting February 1st, a 20 lb loss is still achievable by April 1st. But whatever we can do in that time will be an achievement!

I just ordered an elliptical machine from HSN. I'm super excited! I tried looking for exercise equipment to have at home before but they were always really expensive and/or way too big for my apartment. But the new ProForm they were featuring today was much cheaper than most everything else I've looked at plus it folds up and it will fit in my walk-in pantry/closet. I can't wait til it gets here! I'm hoping this elliptical will help me meet my challenges! :D

thanks guys! Im excited! I tried hard today to eat healthy and go walking, which i did (yay!) but then tonight me, my boyfriend and some of our friends went to the movies and afterwards they all wanted to go out to eat. Everyone kept saying "just get something! You cant live on slim fast and bananas!" so i gave in, and got chicken, mash potatos, and a roll. And now i feel terrible! Like i should have had more will power than that :(
