November Exercise Challenge
Everyone is welcome to post fitness and exercise goals for November here and then track them through the month. Track your workouts, your minutes, the times you take the steps instead of the elevators, anything that gets you moving more whether the goal is big or small.

Sweet!! My goals are different this month. I usually go for 1000-1200 minutes of exercise. However, I've started a new weight lifting program (New Rules for Women).
So my goals are to walk to pick up my DD from school 2-3x a week (1.6 miles round trip +I'm hauling a wagon with 2 kid in it!), and to do 2 workouts a week from my new program. I'll also do yoga class 1-2x a week. I may also sub swimming laps/bike rides occasionally for the walking 1. 1.6 mile walk 2. NRWL workout B1=deadlifts 45 lbs 15X1, Dumbell Shoulder Press 10 lbs 15x2, Wide Lat Pull Down 40 lbs 15x2, BW Lunges 15x2, Swiss ball crunches 15x2 + 8 Minutes Treadmill 3. off 4. off 5 4 mile bike ride 6. off 7. 2feelbetter You can list minutes, miles, steps, episondes, exercise programs whatever your goal is then you can keep track of your progess here. It is really a helpful tool. If you want some other ideas of goals, you could look back at the october or september exercise thread. Good luck to you

For November: Goal #1 - Make it to 6 Iyengar yoga classes (Wed/Sat - a few are cancelled due to the Holidays) Goal #2 - Make it to a Bikram yoga class each day I have off work (4 classes). Goal #3 - Get 1 run in per week (4 runs total) |
I'm writing a novel this month (NaNoWriMo) so I'm taking my exercise goal down a notch to something I'm sure that I will really do: 1350 minutes for November.

Ok, here goes. I want to do 30 minutes/day, 5 days per week, which I think equals a goal of 600 minutes for the month. Doesn't sound like much, but is way more than what I'm getting now

Morning! Week 1 post:
1st - 28m swim, 27m and 33m cycle - tot = 89 mins 2nd - 28m swim = 28 mins 3rd - no exercise. :( literally NO time!! - 13hr day at work and then a drive London to Devon... 4th - 22m swim (found a pool near my Mum's!) = 22 mins 5th - 28m swim = 28 mins 6th - 30 m running, 45m swim = 75 mins 7th - no time to exercise, helping Mum with lunch party... Week 1 total: 242 mins This week ahead/behind: -136 |

Week 1 of Nov: Recovery week + 10 mins of jogging 2: 40 mins insanity no jogging (sick) 3: Nothing, really sick now :( 4: 5: 6: 7: Week 2-4: 60 mins of Insanity workout + 10 mins of jogging daily, weight lifting Sundays with warm ups. |

Joining late since I couldn't settle on goals for exercise. I've decided to just shoot for 2X/wk strength training, 3X/wk walk (or jog if I'm able). I may swap a swim in here and there for a walk if I can get to the pool, but we'll see.
