Tummy-Where's my head?! I totally missed congratulating you on "healthy"! Well, even though you're not home....
:cheer2::cb:Congratulations!:cb::cheer2:

Time for me to get to bed. The morning will come much too early tomorrow!

Ms Perception 10-27-2009 09:43 AM

Gee, look at me hogging posts here. Just popping in before I start my chores and all that fun stuff. Today is laundry and planning day, so pretty easy stuff. The scale is holding VERY steady, since it hasn't budged at all, but I suspect it's due to extra ST'ing yesterday to try and make up for my easy week last week. I fully expect the silly scale to finally cave in and show me the 130's tomorrow. If not, you may find a scale embedded in a bathroom wall if you come over for a visit. LOL Seriously, though, I am so happy to be this close to goal so as long as the scale isn't going up, I'm not even the least bit frustrated....yet. Hope you all are enjoying your morning/day. The temps have dropped here to leave a nice frost on everything this morning. My run was fairly brisk, but I wore layers and managed just fine. I've talked to my mil and she will watch the little one in the afternoon when she gets home from work if I decide to wait and run in the afternoon some days when the weather is less cooperative or I just can't drag my butt out of bed early enough. It's nice alternative, so I'm thankful for that. Once we move, I can go to the school and use their treadmills but for now I think I can manage outside. Well, the clothes are calling out to me, so I guess it's time to start the laundry (and get my hiney in the shower!). Have a great day ladies!

Miss Mallee 10-27-2009 11:52 AM

Hey Ladies,

Sorry that I keep disappearing! It's school and yesterday my best friend and I dressed up went job hunting. Lemme tell ya, I know I dropped some water weight from walking everywhere (and taking the bus) in heels. I might have a possible job interview. It seemed I was at the right place, right time.

Also, I know my scale says (after all the walking) that I'm about 213.5. I dunno if this is my right weight, but I know I've lost and need a new scale. Hopefully I'll get one not this weekend, but the next.

Also, after that week of migraines (still get them, but now I have pills!) I'm going to try this nutrition/workout plan that's just for two weeks to either get you started up again or take you out of your plateau. I guess you can loose up to 12 pounds in two weeks. In which case, I think it's the nutrition plan. But I'll take it. Then I'm back to my normal plan. :)

:ebike:

<3 We Can Do It Ladies.

FitGirlyGirl 10-27-2009 11:55 AM

Looks like a lot of success going on. Congrats to everyone.

This morning I weighed in at 193. That means I have met my October goal and passed it by an extra .8 pounds. WooHoo! I am hoping to be able to do that again in November since that will mean that by the next time I go visit my dad and brothers I will have lost over 30 pounds since the last time they saw me. I talked to my dad over the weekend and got to tell him that I have lost 50 pounds so far, he was so proud - it was great.

FitGirlyGirl 10-27-2009 12:33 PM

I have a question for yall. Since the only time I do less than 30 minutes of exercise is on my off days I will reach at least 1215 min. for October. How much do you think it is reasonable to increase that as my goal for November? I don't want to go too high and just set myself up for failure, but I also don't want to sell myself short.

Ms Perception 10-27-2009 02:31 PM

FitGirlyGirl-I'd say go for a 5-10% increase. A 10% increase would just mean another 1/2 hour workout per week. That's manageable for sure. Ultimately it's up to you and what you want to accomplish. I've actually decreased my minutes in order to focus on running and strength training, but everyone's different.

KimL1214 10-27-2009 03:27 PM

Ms Perception~ That’s pretty sweet that you’re mil will watch your kids while you go for a run!

Miss Mallee~ I can not handle heels! How are your feet feeling?

FitGirlyGirl~ Congrats on reaching your October goal!

My acid reflux is completely taking over right now as I have not had the chance to run to the pharmacy and get my prescription. That is definitely a NSV I look forward to, not having to take meds for acid reflux because my weight no longer causes it… that will be very nice!

iDream 10-27-2009 06:25 PM

Good evening girls! Man I feel out of the loop! I've been busy with a ton of little things and just haven't been on the computer much. Also, to be totally honest, I didn't want to come here and post another 'I'm not feeling it' post this morning, which was exactly how I felt.

I have managed to work out today and it's amazing how much better I felt afterwards. It wasn't a perfect workout (it was my first time doing it and the kids were up--so many interruptions), but it was a workout! :) I didn't work out yesterday (Yoga) so I plan on squeezing that in on Sunday. That means I won't have a day off for almost 2 weeks, but I have a need to make up that workout ya know?

Anyway, I'm going to be a little MIA (no personals) for a couple of days. I need to get those pictures edited for that girl I took pics for. I started on them today and have to do nearly all of them over again because I saved the resized watermarked versions only--not the full sized edit. :tantrum: Anyway, so now I need to do them over and it's not like I have a whole lot of time to do it as it is.

Okay, well, I'll catch up with you girls soon! It's almost time for November Goals can you believe it? And I really need to stick around on these threads--clearly I can't be left alone to my own devices! ;)

Have a great night ladies!!! Hope everyone had a great day and that you all...

Drank Your Water!!!!
;)

JasonsLea 10-27-2009 11:32 PM

 girls!

It's finally over and done with. Today, I finished processing out from the VA. It's.....kinda weird. But I don't regret my decision. I'm....happy! :D Just really happy.

Roxy ~ Congrats on reaching your goal!

Sandye ~ Do what you need to do but I better see you in the November thread! :D

Wish me luck on my test tomorrow!

:grouphug:

jessicado22 10-28-2009 12:26 AM

Hiya ladies--another freakin quick check in. I should def be able to check in tomorrow and do personals though as it is my first day of no work....yay! Well, I will still have to make toys for my business so technically I will still be working, but I don't have to actually get up at the crack of dawn and drive to a job, so will have time to get on here and actually post. Just wanted to check in and say hi to everyone and send the whoosh fairy your way!

Imdedicated 10-28-2009 06:33 AM

Hey peeps!!! Running to work...nasty weather!!!
Have a good day!!!!

iDream 10-28-2009 07:20 AM

Have a fantfreakin'tastic morning ladies!!!! :carrot:

Shrinking Girl 10-28-2009 07:54 AM

Goooood Morning Chickies!

Just popping in quickly, time away from home means the grading is backlogged and I'm up to my ears in stuff to grade! I apologize in advance, but I'm only going back 2 pages for personals so sorry to anyone who I miss!!

Bigmid Wow, sounds like you've been hectic! Here's hoping things calm down for you very soon and congrats on the loss!!

givetlc A walk on the boardwalk... I could go for one of those!! Sounds like a lovely time!

Tummy Oh wow. Congrats on the healthy BMI!!! I am so happy for you! I cannot tell you how much you inspire and motivate me and so I'm just overjoyed to see you reach an important goal... you totally deserve it!

MrsP The 130's sound soooo skinny to me and you're right there!! That's got to feel exciting to be so close to goal!

jessicado You know, I wasn't prepared to be so blown away by your stuff on etsy. I knew it would be good... I just didn't know it would be absolutely gorgeous. I'm totally going to tell everyone I know about your stuff, I just can't get over how fantastic it is! And the 230's.. wow, you're rocking... really you are! You have come so far! And it would appear that your progress is attracting the men, hmmm? Sounds like you've been having to artfully manuver through the man minefield!

Jasonslea Good job on catching yourself before the damage went on for too long. That's progress and progress is what we're all about!

Miss Mallee Gosh you're so busy and now migraines on top of it. :( Sounds like zero fun. I hope your 2 week plan gives you the boost you want! Good luck with your interview! Oh... and I love your new photo!

idream Wow, you sure sound busy! Way to go on getting your workout in this morning! I've been worried about how tired you've sounded lately (been reading... just no time to post) and it's great to see you full of energy again!!

As for me, I must have made decent choices this past weekend as I'm down to 198, which was my modified October goal... so I'm feeling great!! That's 9 lbs this month woohoo! I'm still throwing around the November goal numbers in my head but I can tell you I am certainly looking for healthier Thanksgiving recipes so if anyone has any... throw them my way!

I had so much fun this past weekend and even managed to pass on the most delicious looking brownies during a class I attended. We had a fantastic vegetarian lunch (way better than I thought it would be) and they had these huge brownies for dessert but I just passed on it. The vegetarian lunch really showed me how much my tastes have changed since I've started eating healthier. I loved all of the veggies in everything and I almost squealed with glee when I saw the salad and that it wasn't coated with nasty heavy dressing. Definitely one of those Ah-Ha moments! It felt good!

Here's hoping everyone has the loss they need in these last couple days of the month to make their goals!!!

KimL1214 10-28-2009 08:57 AM

iDream~ Crazziness with the photos! I hope everything goes well!!! Great job getting up early!

JasonsLea~ Good luck on your test!

Imdedicated, jessicado22~

Shrinking Girl~ 198!!! AWESOME!!!

I had a little flop with breakfast this morning, but plan on staying OP for the rest of the day and working my buttocks off in the gym later to hopefully burn at least half of one of the hashbrowns off that I had this morning (ugh). I’m relapsing with my cold right now and having a rough time getting things going this morning which is probably a big chunk of why I pigged out on hashbrowns this morning. I brought a huge salad with light dressing for lunch today and am pretty pumped for that. Have a great day everyone!

iDream 10-28-2009 09:09 AM

I'm baaaaaack!!!! :D

So I'm going to follow SG's lead and go back 2 pages, so if I miss anyone, I'm sorry!

Jen7
~ so sorry to hear about your Grandma, I hope she makes a full recovery!! You've done great this month! :)

Cle~ girl you sound as busy as I've been! Nice to see you popping in!!! Hope you have a great day and that the weather improves!

ShrinkingAmy~ WTG on the loss! You'll be in the 120's in no time!

Nello
~ hey hun! How's the foot? I hope getting better!!

MsP
~ I have a ton of scrap booking stuff--just never have time to actually do it. Plus, I lack the creativity I think. ;) Mmmm, caramel apples are the BOMB!!! I still haven't had one yet...not sure I can. I mean, my track record since hitting maintenance hasn't been great ya know? I can't wait to see you dip into the 130's!! Come on scale, MOVE!!!

Mystical~ Hey hun! I hope you're feeling better hun!!

Roxy~ WTG on the 50 lbs!!! :woohoo: That's awesome! And Congrats on making and surpassing your October goal!!! :carrot:

Sweettooth~ talk about blowing the goal out of the water! WTG!!! Awesome job!

Shari
~ woo hoo! Look at you just losing it! Great job! I hear ya on the self sabotage!! I mean, just look at how much I've gained and lost this month alone! Egad!!! Hang in there though--be sure to get rid of any junk you have in the house! If you don't have any junk food, you can't eat any right? Right!!

Bigmid~ hey you!! Glad to hear from you! Congrats on your loss!! :) Hope things slow down for you a bit so you can get in some quality down time!

Giv~ oooh, it sounds like you had a wonderful weekend!!! :) Congrats on the loss too!! :)

Tummy~ I hope you had a blast!!! How nice to be able to just pick up and go stay in a hotel! With the boys in school we don't get to do things like that unless it's Summer. :( I've been jonesin' for a vacation too! I think you're right--I think I've been so focused on getting all my workouts in that I got burned out. Recovery week has been interesting so far--took a day off on Monday, didn't plan on it, but lack of mojo and the painting mayhem sucked all the time out of my day and it just didn't happen. I'm feeling much better today though. :) Not sure what's up with the eating--maybe it's delayed PMS? Still no TOM so that could be it. Can't wait to hear all about your trip and lastly, but certainly not leastly ;) :celebrate: Congrats on the Normal BMI!!!! :woohoo:

Shasha~ hey girlie! Glad you had a nice weekend!! Hope the damage on the scale is gone now! :)

KimL~ sorry to hear you were sick! Man, it's going around isn't it? Congrats on the loss!! You're totally right, you can make your goal, just buckle down and go for it!! :)

Molly~ heya girlie! Good luck with the job hunt! Wow, you walked around in heels all day? You're one brave girl! I can barely walk in them for an hour! I'm such a klutz! Well, that and I have ginormous feet! Good luck with the new nutrition plan, be sure to let us know how it goes!

SG~ Hi hun!! Sounds like you had fun this weekend! And resisting brownies definitely earns you a :woohoo: those things are the devil! Congrats on the loss too! That's wonderful!! I had to laugh at your almost squealing with glee about the salad! I almost did the same thing--wait, I think I actually did--when I found a new frozen veggie mix at the store!! Funny the things that make us happy huh? I'll keep my eye out for any healthy Thanksgiving recipes and post 'em here when I find them. :) I just got the Cooking Light Holiday Cookbook so I'm sure there's some in there.

Well girls, I think that maybe, just maybe that I might have gotten some of my mojo back!!! :celebrate: I can't tell you how much better I feel today! I was having a really hard time the past few days getting motivated to eat right and exercise. I managed to keep my bad eating a weekend only thing and I've been OP since Monday, but exercising...man alive, I just couldn't get motivated! I'm so glad I toughed out the workout yesterday--that really helped so much!!

I've lost most of my weekend weight and am back down to 135 again. (I need to change my ticker) I still can't believe how much one or two days of off plan eating can make me gain!!! I know a lot of it is water, but holy geez!!! I ended up drinking a gallon of water, a cup of regular coffee and 2 cups of decaf (one of my vices during Fall & Winter--I looooooove drinking my decaf!!!) so needless to say I was in the bathroom a lot yesterday! ;) It did the trick though, my rings aren't snug anymore! :carrot:

I think a lot of my funk might have been stress due to TOM not showing up yet. Since hubby and I are absolutely finished having kids, anytime TOM goes MIA even for a day I get a bit anxious! But just so ya know, I'm not PG. I actually tested this morning (had a test left over from a previous wonky cycle) and it showed a nice big fat Not Pregnant in the window--it was one of those cool digital ones. :) So, now I can breathe a bit easier and just enjoy TOM being MIA! :yay: Haha!! Time to call for hubby's appointment!!!

Okay, well, I better get going. The dishes aren't going to do themselves, no matter what my husband thinks! ;) Hope everyone has a fantastic day!! And don't forget to...

Drink Your Water!!!
