    SG--Congrats on getting through the 1rst day of week 4! You are totally motivating me--really!

    RDW--Welcome! Looking forward to seeing you in September on here! I just joined this month, and these awesome ladies have really motivated me. Seriously, I haven't run in 10 years, and had absolutely no intentions of ever starting, and after being on here a few weeks, I started. They are all awesome! I'm a vegetarian too, so it will be awesome to have someone else to relate to on here!

    Tummy--Welcome back!

    Sasha--hope you have fun with your friend! Having her at the gym with you should be good motivation!

    Well, just finished up W1D2 of C25K and it was harder for me than when I just ran the 10 minutes straight....what the heck?!?!?!? You think with all the breaks it would be easier. I mean, it wasn't horrible...but right on the edge of it, lol. Maybe it is because I am running alot faster than when I just jogged the 10 min. I stopped 10 sec early on the 7th run..... (shhhhh), but other than that, I did them all. I think I will try the 3rd time this week a little slower when I am running and see what happens. I am dedicated to finishing the program, so if worst comes to worse, maybe I'll just take a little longer and do 2 weeks for each week of the program....or maybe I'll just stick with the 1rst week forever!

    I check in this morning and not only see Tummy but LE as well. Now that's the way to start the morning. This morning I'm finally near goal, only .8 to go..so dangit if it ain't a dandy morning indeed.

    Ruth ~ Oh man, if I could surf the net while I was on the treadmill, I'd definitely be spending loads of time on the treadmill...that's fantastic. Very creative. I tried to play a game once while I was on the treadmill...and yeah, that didn't end well for me or my arse.

    Shrinking ~ Wow and on making it through your C25k. You are doing an amazing job with it. Keep up the groovy work and thanks again for the compliment.

    Well I reckon that's all but dude, I was up too early this morning. But hopefully I can get some cardio in this morning without having everyone in the house up as well. So I'm off to go shake my rump and I'll check in with you beautiful ladies later. Peace, love and grooviness to you all.

    Doing a quick post this morning because.... for the second day in a row.... I've weighed in at 217....which is my August goal! WoooHOOOO!

    6 lbs in a month is the most I've lost so far. Thank you to everyone for all of your encouragement, I don't know if I'd have done it without you!

    Not much time, but Delphi, WOW! inspiring pics- you look fanfreakintastic indeed!

    I am also inspired by SG and the others who are doing C25K. Thinking of trying it myself... Man, if thinking dropped the pounds, I'd be a total waif!

    BIG NSV for me yesterday- my best friend sent me pictures from our recent rendevous in New York, and for the first time in a LONG time, I liked what I saw! My face isn't puffy and bloated, I didn't go into the shock of, "Is THAT what I look like?" and all those rationalizations about how I'm just not photogenic and the camera adds pounds. I know I felt good on that trip, in part because I was with my friend and her baby, and partly because I started my weight loss right after my previous trip to New York, when I finally decided to make the changes I needed. Walking the streets of the city, I felt slimmer, healthier and more confident.

    Thank you all for all the posts and support that have inspired me and kept me honest!!

    Shasha-I am new to planning my meals this far ahead, but I must say yesterday was so easy, it wasn't written down, so I just didn't eat it. Instead, If I was hungry, and water didn't fix it, I looked on my list to see what my allotted snack was! A real no brainer! Good luck!

    Tummy Oh I love dolphins! I'll bet it was awesome to see them swimming! Welcome back! Let's get to work!

    - I was just reading your post, and you are coming to my neck of the woods! Gatlinburg is about an 1hr away, if you don't count traffic! You will have sooooo much fun! bring your walking shoes, and your VISA! So much to do, and shop for! LOL I think you should hold your DH to it, life is too short not to vacation!

    Shrinking- Gotta love the crazed parents!!!! You keep on being tough, because teachers like you make the difference for lots of kids! Weither they want to admit it or not!

    As for me, I have a busy day planned! I am making "white chili" from the 3fc recipes mmmmm I hope it turns out as good as I think it will. I am heading out to do errands, then to work from 3-11. Oh and I have a HIIT workout to squeeze in, better go do that now! Have a great day ladies!

    Delphi~ Well, my inner Delphi left shortly after I moved all that stuff--I need to channel her again! I still haven't painted a thing--which is good since room assignments changed. I am going with a really light soft pink--I mean, super light and soft, no cotton candy stuff, just soft and airy and light. I'm then going to accent it with light green (again with the soft airy stuff) and go from there. I'll let you know when I plan on starting! You look maaaarvelous dahhhling! Seriously, who is that girl in the first pic? That's not the Delphi I know! Wow! You hawt mama you!!! So glad you're back to enjoying your cardio dear, I missed hearing your rave about it! Oh, and Girl Scout cookies are evil! Especially the Samoas!!!! Evil, evil, evil!!!

    MsP~ again, congrats on completing the C25K!!! That is so awesome!!! I've often thought about what I'll do after I'm done and so I'll be watching your workouts with great interest!

    Hotsplashes~ well congrats on maintaining through TOM! I consider that a victory in my book! WTG on your water girlie! I can see I won't have to be lecturing you any time soon!

    jessica~ I'm so excited for you! So glad you're seeing the scale move in the right direction again!!! As for the C25K, yup, I'm taking it slow! I figure once I get to where I can run for 30 mins straight, then I can work on my speed! Great job hun!

    SG~ Oh your hubby and I would end up wading through stuff if we were married! I mean, I've gotten way better, but I have a ton of stuff and I also save boxes--what can I say? We ship stuff come Christmas time and I'm forever searching for the right size box! Actually, I don't save quite as much stuff as I used to, but that's not to say I couldn't get rid of stuff either. I usually end up doing my purging during the Winter when I can't get out of the house. WTG on day 1 of wk 4!!! I was surprised by how I was able to make it through the 5 min runs! I really think the key with me is speed, so long as I don't go too fast, I'm good. Keep up the great work and try not to let the parents stress you out--sometimes we parents get all uppity and crazy at the beginning of the school year. Most of us snap out of it later though. Oooh, just saw you made your August goal!!! Congrats hun!! Woo hoo!

    Ruth~ congrats on the loss hun!!! I bet you'll see more lbs drop by the end of the month! How cool that you can surf the web while on the treadmill! I wish I could do that! I would never fall behind and have to spend an hour doing personals again!

    LEWIS!!!!!~ You're back!! So glad to see you posting again hun!!! Now, let's get all that crazy stressful stuff you've been going through out of the way so we can have our daily dose of Lewis again! Good for you planning out your meals--I really stink at that! I can sometimes do it in the morning, but never the night before. I really should try to do that, it would make dinner time so much easier! Hey, let us know how the white chili turns out!!!

    Pucedaisy~ aww, that's a great NSV hun! Nothing better than liking pics of yourself!!! Yes, the girls here are so very inspiring! I'd never have started the C25K if it weren't for them. Heck, I wouldn't have ever lost this much weight if it weren't for them!!!

    Whew! That took longer than I thought it would!

    Well, I'm down a bit more today, 144.6 which is odd considering that I got a surprise visit from TOM today--thought I had some time yet before he came back, but I just checked my calendar and really he's only 2 days early so...yippee, TOM--twice in one month! Sheesh...

    Got all of my exercise in before all the kids woke up today! Man, there's nothing better than that! I will definitely be making a major effort to wake up at 5:00 on MWFs!! Those are the days I have HIIT & ST'ing so those take the longest.

    Ry is sick today. Poor kid, he came home yesterday after school and fell right to sleep. He woke up long enough to walk upstairs where I tucked him into bed. Hubby said he woke up at 1:30 from a bad dream, he then woke up at 4:30'ish and said he wanted to say good night to me (sweet baby boy) and went back to bed where he stayed until 7:00. So roughly 15 hours of sleep and he's still feeling icky. He's already puked once and I'm hoping that's it. We're currently waiting to see if the toast he ate will stay down before we proceed with more food. Sigh...

    I'm guessing the girls have had this all week too as they haven't been eating very much and have been beyond grouchy. I just hope that this is the end of the stomach bug and that the kids can get back to their healthy selves!

    The play date yesterday was okay--I didn't walk away from it with any instant friendships or anything, but it certainly was nice to get out of the house and chat with some grown ups!

    Well girls, I better get going. I need to pay bills, clean up the kitchen, call the school...ya know, stuff. Hope everyone has a great day! Be sure to...

    Sandye~ Way to go losing during the start of TOM! You are making this month count! You'll be at you new goal weight before you know it...then what're ya gonna do?! Sorry to hear about your sickies. At least you should have everyone done with it soon and then things will get back to "normal."

    LE-It's funny you mention my pic. My 9 y/o DS said to me a couple days ago, "Mom, you look skinnier than in that picture." So he wanted me to do another one that was better...from a BOY...he cracks me up! I will prob change it at the end of this month, just in case he's right. LOL

    Tummy~Glad to hear from ya, chickie. Can't wait until you're back regulalry!

    Congrats to all making good progress on C25K or other new and interesting exercise programs! Also, great job to those planning meals and making sure they only have OP foods in the house! We're finishing this month strong, ladies.
    I had a slightly unhappy moment today. I found my scale was broken (not registering anything, just staying at 0.0) and I have to mail it in to get it repaired or replaced. So, I'm not gonna have my scale for a week or 2. Yikes! What will I do?! I think I may buy another (less expensive) one to get me by. I gotta know if I make goal!

    Sandye ~ Ah, pink sounds good, I bet it will look all purty and stuff when you get it complete. My boys want black. I'm not feelin' black, but then again when I was young, I begged for black walls and didn't get it..so, just to stick it to the man, I might let my boys have their way. What cha think? way to go on losing some weight girly and oh my at TOM coming early. I wish he would come on this way to. Should be any day now..eh?

    As for me, my morning has been full of Halo and exercise. Sure is great to get back into my groove and with September upon us, I just feel great about progress and life in general. Man life is just great ..eh?
  • afternoon all!

    i didn't exercise yesterday, and i felt like crap... back to c25k training today. it just goes to show how much my body NEEDS exercise and good food.

    weigh in on sunday... did i make goal??!!? who knows... but i feel better than i did a month ago!
  • Today is going to be my first day of training with my personal trainer. I'm really excited!!! Also I got a brochure of classes offered to to adults at our local community centers in the mail yesterday. I have been really interested in taking Zumba classes. Have any of you heard of it or taken it? So it sounds to me like its like a Latin dance with a fusion of other techniques (correct me if I'm wrong). People that take this class get addicted to it and swear by the results. Its going to be 1x a week for 8 weeks every Monday. So now my gym schedule will look like this.
    Mon- Zumba
    Tues-kickboxing
    Wed- Training with trainer (mostly weights)
    Thurs- step aerobics
    Fri- on my own in the gym, most like will do weights since I'm getting so much cardio.
    Sat- Maybe take a class at the gym or do machines.
    I certainly won't be getting bored.

    Other than this, I'm feeling kinda hurt today. I wrote out all the details but deleted it because it was long and confusing. Just some friend problems...sigh. I'm going to eat some lunch now but I promise I will be back for personals. I have read everyone's posts and am excited to respond.

    I start school today so I am super busy for the next few days. Just wanted to say hi . You all are making such great progress, and Shrinking girl -- A big CONGRATS on making your August goal!!! That's is awesome. And with a few days to spare too!

    So i weighed in today and i'm back down to 143. My goal was to say goodbye to the 140's, but I don't think that's gonna happen by the end of August now. Oh well ... on the upside, I hadn't done sit up in YEARS, so when i started doing them 3 or 4 weeks ago, i could only do 5-8 in a row, and that was pushing it! LOL But today I did 30 in a row, so i'm excited about that .. means my abs are making progress!

    My sons bday went really well .. I DID eat some pizza, but it was all accounted for where i track my calories (the daily plate) and i had a few hundred to spare even!! Must be all that exercise.

    Anyway, you all have a lovely day. And I want to say thanks to all of you for the encouraging words and support. You gals are awesome!
  • jessicado- Are the workouts 30 minutes each? Everyone that has been doing the program says that its surprising how hard it is. I hope to start it one of these days and I bet its harder than it looks on paper. But we all have to start somewhere right?

    delphi- Hope your good mood rubs off on me a little, I'm feeling down.

    shrinking girl- Yay for maintaing the loss. It seems like everytime I have a drop in my weight, I'm back up 1lb the next day. But I know WL isn't linear so as long as I'm losing weight each week, thats all I care about. Congrats on meeting your goal.

    pucedaisy- Glad you had fun on your outing. It must be nice to see a difference in the pictures.

    Lewisempire- Let us know how the chili turns out.

    CMO4- I hardly ever drink coffee, so when I do, I get these horrible cramps and then a little later feel hyper. lol. Omg where was I when you dropped all these lbs the last few days. Isn't that wierd that the body sometimes holds a lil plateau, and then all of a sudden BAM. You lose like 5-6 lbs. That happens to me too.

    MsP- Bummer about the scale. Sometimes I wish my scale would get broken so I didn't check my weight as often as I do.

    dcapulet- Good luck with meeting your goal this month.

    misspiggy- yay I love progress stories and thats huge progress with your situps. And good for you for enjoying the pizza and staying within your calories for the day. I know how hard it can be to stay away from the pizza.

    I'm sleepy early tonight so I need to play catch up and go to bed early but I will catch up with the rest of you soon. Dh is off on vaca and leaving for kentucky again monday morning for 1 week. We are prob taking off tomorrow for a day trip as we have some stormy weather coming over the weekend. So glad I got my laps in today as we are due for a major cool down come tomorrow. It will be great walking weather so I plan to get my walk in. Keep up the great work girls....... chat soon.
