Just For Today Challenge, August 1

    I have been struggling, some days eating as much as 60 points. I found last week when I started this challenge, that even though I still overate, I did much better, knowing I was going to be reporting it here.

    Join me if you like. I will probably start this challenge daily for a while. If anyone beats me on here in the mornings, and it hasn't been started, feel free to start it. Believe me, I will follow this challenge no matter who starts it.

    This has become a wonderful supportive group! (New thread started every day for a frest start!) Newbies to this thread always welcome!
  • My Goal for today.

    I signed up on stickk.com for a goal and I have to lose 3 pounds by Monday to be on track. So I am adding extra exercise and less food today.

    My new goal is to try to go without eating at least once every day to really get hungry. I'm trying to break my habit of eating non stop.

    It's 12:21 p.m and I haven't eaten yet, getting ready to eat cereal and milk.

    Its my birthday so this will be extra hard.

    I want to stay on plan for breakfast and lunch.
    I want to eat only one off plan food at dinner and in moderation.
    I want to eat a quarter piece of cake and then stop.
    I want to walk atleast 30 minutes today with my dogs.
    I want to say no to candy at Grandmas house!!!
    I want to end my birthday at 7pm and be back on plan for tomorrow.

    Peggy, Great goals. I have been working on only eating when I am hungry and it is getting easier. Except at night. lol. I'm going to look in to stikk.

    Water - some amount surely!
    Eat only when hungry and do not overeat
    NO dessert, crackers, cereal, bread.

    Thought I would post again. Since I will be gone tomorrow. And I need to reinforce my plan.

    Tomorrow is a mess. Leave the house at 4am and get home at midnight. Taking my dd to Boston and coming back. She's staying.

    This is my plan - because I cannot - will not - eat airport food. I am being very specific beacuse I have to be.
    Protein shake in the morning and pack protein bars and bananas and some nuts.
    Healthy and filling lunch with dd in boston.
    Protein bar and fruit for dinner. Salad if I can find one.
    Nuts on the way home if I need it.

    I am being very strict because I am abstaining from bread, sweets, crackers, cereal - so as to break my cravings.

  • for me: no more junk food, 60 min exercise, drink water!
  • I didn't do bad, I did get really hungry once today, I'm trying, I'm just not there yet. I did exercise.

    I did all of this and more! I ate a quarter piece of cake but felt wayyyyy guilty after. I really didn't eat junk. I ate A LOT but fruit, veggies and salad!!
