  • Hi everyone, I'm new here. I want to try one new class at the gym each week in August. And I want to play tennis at least two times per week.

    I also want to find an exercise buddy. Does anyone have any suggestions on finding a workout partner??
  • In for a penny, in for 4-6 lbs. And 1200 min of exercise.
  • ok, this month I'm in for the excersise thread as well. I really really need some help in this department.

    my goals are -

    1 - ride my bike for at least 45min twice a week (on my days off work)

    2 - get off the tube a stop early and walk home from there every day that I am working (about 30 min)

    I look forward to seeing how everyone else gets along with their excersise!

    My plan is to continue:
    3x weekly walks with my neighbor
    Ride my bike while my husband trains for his marathon

    I'd like to start:
    Riding my bike to my volunteer job (16 miles roundtrip)
    Strength training 3x a week
    HIIT 2x a week

    Bring on August!!!

    Pucedaisy........sounds like great goals to me! I love to walk as well.

    Jessica...not sure about finding a partner for the gym, you never know..maybe you will meet a workout partner there : ). On a positive note, when you rely on no one else but yourself there is nothing impeding your workout. ANyhow.......you just made a whole bunch of workout buddies

    My goal for August is simply to do something active 6 days a week.. I'll try to post everyday about what I did & for how long, etc.

    crazymamaof4: Continue HIIT 3x/wk, continue strength training 3x/wk, add C25K 3x/wk, + trying pilates.
    Delphi: 2,500 minutes of exercise..get in 2 workouts a day 6 days a week.
    NewShinyMe: Complete 850 min. minimum, complete new EA active 30 day challenge, and workout 6 days a week.
    mygritsconfessions: cardio every other day for 45 min, + 35 min. on opposite days.
    p7eggyc: Increasing goal by 10% to 880 minutes.
    TERAPET: 1600 minutes of exercise
    mamatoni: exercise at least 5 days a week
    EmmaD: Plan out and stick to a specific schedule each week, 3.5 hrs.cardio/wk, 1hr. strength training a week, + 15 min. stretching a day.
    Pucedaisy: yoga 2x/wk + a good walk everyday.
    Beck: 1200 minutes of exercise, continue C25K, + start 30 day shred.
    JessicaLovely: 1200 min. of exercise, try one new class at the gym each week, + play tennis 2x/wk.

    Hi ladies.........nice to see you all. to our team for those of you who are joinin in and welcome back to us all : ).. THis is our master list so far.

  • I'm in! Start practicing swimming at the gym twice a week...I am not a good swimmer so no distance / time commitment..just want to improve.

    Walk with my dog and children 5 days a week. My poor doggie will be in heaven!

    Basic goal...start getting active again!
  • I will be joining in, making my goals simple this time as I think I get too complicated and then feel overwhelmed! I want to do yoga every day, and make sure I do 60 minutes of cardio 3x a week.
  • My goal for August:

    Mornings:
    Firm Wave 5 days/week- alternating strength training and cardio every other day.

    Evenings:
    Walk 60 minutes 3 days/week

    No "dieting"...however, I will drink at least 64 oz of water/day and keep my calories betwee 1200-1350
