  • Well, I was a little off-plan last night and had a s'more. I should've resisted, but I was very weak. I've been a little less strict in my diet for a couple days and it's catching up to me with an increased appetite and cravings. UGH!!! Why do I do this to myself? Oh well, today I had a veggie omlette for breakfast to get myself back on track. I need to shower in will-power dust....a long shower! Thankfully I haven't done any damage to my efforts in terms of poundage, so time to reign it in. I feel better now for just stating that. Part of the therapuetic effects of this thread! LOL
  • crazymomma ~ I was gonna try the strength training with the active, perhaps tomorrow. Set up a routine via the customization and see how that goes. But yeah, just doesn't do it for me as far as cardio. Have a great day!

jacqui ~ Hehe..yeah, but you have to admit, it has a ring to it. I swear I can here that deep breathing as soon as I go to step on it.

Wifey ~ Hey chicky..how have you been?

MsP ~ There's plenty of this stuff just for you kiddo. But I'm very proud of you for catching this before it got out of control and for getting back on track. Good for you!!!

Ok, in other news, just got back from the grocery store, and I am pretty sure TOM is here, barely, but here. So ya
  • Good morning to all you wonderful ladies!!!

The sun is shinning, the birds are chirping..its a great day to go and climb some stairs( i hate stairs). and to stay on plan.

I think im going to go and try to find a AE for my wii.

i hope everyone has a very wonderful, cheery day..and rember to drink your water..

    ang
  • Feeling better this morning, I am. Tired, but all days start that way. And end that way. And whatever else means I spend the whole day that way.

I'm not seeing any more changes on the scale so far, but I knew most of last week was water after the camping trip.

I've been staying on plan, although yesterday and Sunday I barely got in 1400 cals, and I'm usually around 1600 or 1700. Normally I'd have more snacks, but we're out of all the stuff I bought for camping snacks and we're a little tight on funds until Monday, especially after the eye doctor yesterday!

I've been having trouble getting myself to do stuff at home after the gym, and I skipped Active yesterday. This morning, after waking up stupid early, I decided to get day 3 done of the 30 day challenge. It was the easiest day I've had so far, no sweating. Like Delphi said, the dance thing is STUPID, but I am starting to regain control of my left thigh which was SOOOOO sore the last few days that it's tried a few times to buckle and throw me to the floor to keep from having to be used.

After work today, I'll be attempting 1.25 miles on the treadmill in hopes of catching up to my goal this week. I probably don't need to since there are two extra weekdays in June that will let me hit my 20, but I don't like feeling behind!
  • Ok - so first weigh in of the week and I went up half a pound over the weekend (I think the Taco's I ate on Sunday night are the culprit!). However, I am back on track, Monday went well, today is going good. Hopefully i'll see a drop after my next weigh in on Thursday.
  • Good Morning
    Good Morning Girly's,

I'm back. I took off Friday for the big yard sale and yesterday had a doc appt. Missed all ya gals. I got some good batteries and guess what the scale works?

Weighed in this morning at 200.4

So I have lost almost three pounds in 2 weeks and a total of 12 lbs in 5 weeks
  • Morning All

Delphi- I don't think my knee can predict that far but my knee was a little achy this morning -nothing serious is coming . What a difference a day makes .

NSM - Thanks for the pep talk .

Glutio - I've been there, last week in fact, even with the asparagus - mine was cherries. PMS is a monster. It's a SOB. Some months I'm a banshee. Other months I'm Glinda the good witch of the north. Don't give up or in. Hang in there .

Jacqui - Welcome to my world. Last night was the first night that I'd actually went to bed at a normal hour - 10pm. I find myself trying to relax and unwind around 10pm and then something comes up and it's after midnight. Fraustrating, I know. Hang in there. Here's a to help you.

I hope everyone has a great rest of the day. If I have time later in the day, I will check back.

  • Wifey, good luck on your exam! And we're glad you're not hiding anymore!

Ms_P, very smart to post how you've been feeling and eating for accountability! And great job on getting back on track, starting this morning out with a veggie omelet! You've come so far and after you get to where you're going, you'll have to maintain, so I am so proud of you for not giving in to more temptation but rather turning things back around!

Ang, what a cheery greeting! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Glutio, I'm so glad you're feeling better and that your left thigh is healing! Good luck on your 1.25-mile walk today!

Lauren, great job getting back OP!! Yes, the tacos probably are the culprit and you'll lose that 1/2 lb in no time! Keep going, girlie!

Blondie, we've missed you too! Yay on the scale working and an even bigger yay on the 200 lbs -- 1 lb away from ONEderland!!!

SuzyQ, oh my, if busy-busy run-run is your world, I feel for you, girl! I am often up after midnight, but it's not usually because that's the first time I've had to sit down and catch up! I hope things become "normal" for you more often!
  • Good afternoon girlsssssss

I just want to our other thread to catch a bit with the posts as it was late last night when I came in. Canadiannnnn Angel, congratulations on winning the 500 dollars! That is sweet!

Newshinyme, altgirl, gatorgirl, nellonello, glutio, and BLondie...congratulations on this weeks losses girls Hope I didn't miss anyone, congrats to you all on the losses.

Newshinyme, so well put what you said to glutio about the weight loss and all. Your doing terrific girl (you both are) and I love how you wrote healthier by the day! Keep up the great work.

Delphi, hey you Just caught up with your most recent post and glad that TOM is finally here for you! Hang in there, those fluids should be leaving soon. Even with TOM looming, you were able to do your workouts. WTG delphi, hope your feeling better chicky. Regarding the beach, oh I hope you do do a beach visit when you can. I was brought up on a coastal town (DH and I were neighbors growing up, lol) and we were always on the water so we sort of live for it! Honest to god, it's one of the things I miss most in winter. OH, about the smoking...I forgot to tell you! I got one of those rubbermaid plastic containers and mad e a piggy bank and put the smoking money in there every week! (160 a month) . I would be rich if I didn't keep spending it! lol. I'm telling you, that's enough for a vaca or gym equip, new clothing, etc. So try and keep that in mind, it's an awesome reward. Ah chicky, I was waiting to go splurge on some new summer clothing but my weight loss has been quite slow.......hm oh well, I have a boot fetish, lol. I can get some real sexy booties in fall Onward and downward we go! Keep up the great work and feel better

Altgirl, congrats on the loss : ). It helps me a lot to plan my meals 2 days in advance, sometimes 3 but I work best in small steps that way. Wtg on the loss! Hang in there, hoping the cravings pass for you. They can be pretty intense sometimes around TOM (I get carb, cheese cravings sometimes). Some f.f refried beans help fill up and really help to satisfy my carb cravings...keep this little trick in mind and hope it helps out.

jacqui, thanks for posting the link and the kind words girl. Yesssss, nice to be having the bad part of TOM over! Sounds like you had a very busy day yesterday. Keep it rockin' chicky .

hi Jacquee, hang in there! wtg on those inches lost girl!

Hi there Lewis girl, hope your day is going well and that you feel okay. Here is to a successful and happy day \_/ ice coffee

sounds like a lot of you are in the grips of TOM right now, hope you all feel better chicks and have it out of the way real soon.

Susie, thanks! Hope you have a good day too!

crazymama, I do recall you posting something about the nail streak. I am glad that everything is okay girl. I need to go workout too! lol : ) OMG and I feel like such a slacker today! I need a good

wifey, wtg on posting and good luck with your exam tomorrow.

MsP, wtg on the veggie omelette this morning! It doesn't take much for me to get my carb cravings back , I hear you on that. wtg on your new day and an awesome day for you

Lauren, wtg on getting back on track!

Blondieeeeeee, yay COngratulations on the weight loss, that is fantastic Knocking on onderlands door as our Hattie puts it , keep up the great work chicky and congrats once again.

A big hi to all of you and wishing you all a happy new day girls.
  • Jacqui - Once Baseball season ends, I might have a week where it's normal. After that, it's All-Stars then Fall ball then soccer. My winters are my down time. Even then I'm getting ready for the holidays, ugh I have to say that I don't think that I would want it any other way

    Suzy
  • Okay, I wanted to submit that before I lose it.

As for my news, I feel lazy today! lol PUre and simple! I need to move my hiney. THe weather took an abrupt turn and it's cloudy, rainy, and only in the 50's. IT is going to be like this all week too! Urockmom, hope you got out and enjoyed it yesterday. In the past, I would have food fests during weather like this. I loved to just eat. Now, I have managed to get through weather cycles like this pretty well so I know I can do it but I need to get in gear. What get's me through it is keeping busyyyyyyyyy. Doing my workouts and housework and I sure have enough of that to do this week. I need to catch up. I feel a little tired tail end of tom sometimes, I better go get a move on girls and get out of this mode. Loved reading all of your news, as always. Chat soon.

Hope you all have an awesome day, let's keep on truckin'

p.s, I will head over to ex. thread later to post my minutes, keep up the great work everyone.
  • Whew! Okay ladies I'm back and ready do some personals! Right off the bat let me appologize to anyone I miss, I'm going to just catch up on this thread for now--I'm uber tired!

ObiWanDelphi~ Be strong young Jedi, Darth Scale will fall. He will not succeed in destroying all you have worked so hard to do. The force is indeed with you! Be strong and do not succumb to the Dark Side. Oh my word I love reading your posts! Haha! Seriously though, hang in there girl!

Lewis~ Good! You're back 100%!! Now it's time go buckle down and get at it! Tell TOM to kiss your heiny and you'll be back to losin' in no time flat!!

    Atlgirl
~ okay, I've never even really had a thing for chilidogs, but now I officially want one after reading your post! Hang in there--you tell TOM to kiss your heiny too! Man, how many of us are on the same cycle here? TOM is going to have himself a busy week kissing so many heinies! And yeah, I hear ya on men losing weight fast and how much it stinks. It's no fair I tell ya! Not at all!

Jacqui~ yeah, good news for sure. I was kind of worried about it actually. He was kind of a jerk, barely gave me a look (and charged me $50 to boot--geez!) but chalked it up to my heritage. LOL Okay, just so you know African Americans and Hispanics get brown streaks in their nails a lot for no particular reason at all. I am a whopping 1/4 hispanic and so I guess that entitles me to one streaky nail. Okay then... Don't you love when the scale doesn't budge? Happens to me every stinkin' week! Remember last week? Day after day after day...but remember too--it will start to slow down the longer you're at it. Hence the reason my goal is half of what it was last month. I knew I wouldn't be able to lose another 10+ lbs in a month. You're doing exactly what you should be doing, hanging in there and staying OP so give yourself a pat on the back and tell Darth Scale to kiss it!

    Wifey
~ Glad to see you! Good luck on the exam!!!

MsP~ you are so right, this thread can do wonders for you huh? Don't fret the s'more (mmm) sometimes you just have to live a little! You're back on track and that's all that matters! Mmmm...s'mores. I love those dang things! Hubby and the kids have been having them every weekend. Wouldn't be so bad if they didn't ask me to help them assemble them!

Ang~ I hope you have a great day too!!! Congrats on that $500!! That's so freakin' cool!!!

Glutio~ I'm glad you're feeling better today. Hormones suck. There, I said it. Jacqui is right, you can't compare your loss to someone else's--everyone is so different! You just focus on YOU girlie! You're doing an awesome job! Seriously, it doesn't matter if you lose 1 lb a week or 5--you're doing something so good for yourself and you should be proud. The weight will drop off, sometimes it might be agonizingly slow, but you'll get there. Hey, do I need to give you the measurement lecture? I will if I have to!!

    Lauren
~ mmm tacos! Dang, everyone's talking about yummy food today! Okay, great job getting back OP! Just keep it up and I'm sure you'll see a drop come Thurs!

    Blondie
~ Woo hoo! That's awesome news! Congrats on the loss girlie! You're rockin' it!!!

    SuzyQ
~ Haha, oh you're killin' me! Gilda the Good Witch of the North! I love it! I'm the same way--and man was I horrid before I got back on my meds! You could hear men shouting from mountain tops, "Head for the hills men! Sandye's a comin' and it 'aint gunna be purdy!!" yeah, hubby would have run like he## if he knew I wouldn't have killed him when he got back.

FSA~ There ya go!! Wanna 'nother one? Do ya? You'd better get yourself to workin' out girlie! Don't make me open up a can!!

So...I'm never going to wait to do my workout ever, ever again! Geez! It was such a pita to get my exercise in! I got home, changed and it was an hour before I actually got to workout! I had people to feed, fights to break up, hubby to feed (well, more like make sure he took something to work to eat), more fights to break up (the kids were kind of looney this morning)...and then once I started working out the kids were all kinds of crazy and ugh...it was just not my ideal workout, lemme say that. No way I'm doin' that again! Nope, I'll be up before the sun tomorrow! You betcha! Sheesh!

It threw my whole morning off too and now I'm all tired and stuff. I felt better yesterday after 4 hrs of broken sleep than I do today with 7 hours of relatively unbroken sleep (I had to pee a couple of times, ya know, cuz of all the water ).

TOM is still not here, and while I don't really care, it's in my mental make up to start freaking out and worrying about being pg! Haha! So, to make myself feel better wanna know what I did this morning? Hee hee, I called our family Dr. and put in a request for a referral for hubby's vasectomy!!!

Yeah, I know, pure evil aren't I? I tell ya, he's lucky I'm on the meds and not all crazy with PMS like I used to be or else he wouldn't need a referral because I'd do it for him.

Ahh, but he's actually okay with getting one. I had 3 c/sections and the staple removal alone was more pain than he could handle so we've got an understanding. He's a good guy.

Well girls, I better get going. I really should either go try to squeeze in a 15 min nap or get my butt outside and start tearing out grass to make a new flowerbed...hmm...decisions, decisions...

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!
  • I am here
Just posted my minutes in the other thread and now I have to go shower.
Will be back in a little while to do personals.
  • FSA ~ Hey, I know how ya feel. Hopefully, you can push through it and find something to keep you busy. That is probably my biggest problem, finding stuff to do to keep me busy. I use to be a very hardcore gamer, even competed, won money, but it was a very sedentary lifestyle, though the kids really loved...it. So what do you do to keep busy? I can occupy myself, but it's usually by sitting and reading or something else sedentary. You know if..rather when I quit smoking, the money will definitely be a big plus. I couldn't tell ya the last time I had a vacation..and the good lord knows I need one. My friend and I talked about perhaps him coming down for a weekend in August, which is one of the reasons, I'm really pushing myself to at least get into the 190's, but that would be a welcome break. No kids, no responsibilities and a luxury hotel and a weekend out on the town with good company..will probably be the closest thing to a vacation I can get. Dunno though, I just don't see myself doing that with this big jelly roll still looming.

At any rate, I'm so glad you're starting to feel better even if you are little drained. You know, it's ok to be lazy sometimes. A little R&R never hurt anyone and you, dear, definitely deserve it. Hopefully, you will see a loss after TOM has finally left. You're doing wonderfully FSA, keep it up chicky!

Suzy ~ , hey it was worth a try right? I hope your days slow down soon and you get a little time to relax.

Blondie32 ~ Oh wow, that's wonderful. You are soooo close to Onederland girly, keep it up.

LaurenA ~ Ooooo the evil tacos did it..eh? Well thanks for the heads up, I believe I'll stay away from them. Hey but no worries, I'm sure it will come right back off dear.

glutio ~ Good luck getting your walk in dear. Think I'm gonna muster up the energy to go play a little Wii w/ my son. I couldn't imagine coming home and doing anything after working out at night. Heck, I can't imagine having any energy left to even work out at night, so kudos for you for finding it and actually doing it. Bravo!

canadianangel ~ Yes, I had a very good day, I hope yours was a great one as well.

Jacqui ~ It's lunch time or snack time girly.

Oh and Lene, I hope you are remembering to take those vitamins.

crazyYODAmomma ~ ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!! Oh my, I seriously had the kids running in here wondering why I was laughing so hard. Obiwan then the whole vasectomy thing.. You made my day! Shoot, after my fourth baby, I told that doctor, I don't care what you do with it just PLEASE break my baby maker. Oh man, I so know what you mean about trying to squeeze your workout in. Tis why I get up early to. It's almost near impossible to do it, with all the chaos, then like you said, it's definitely not an ideal environment to do so. Simply...it sucks! But I'm sure you will be right back at it tomorrow..and good for you. Now I need to get out of here and see why mine are being so quiet...that's simply not natural!

    NSM ~ Hey girly!!!
