Morning all.
I am going to be spending most of the weekend w YS graduation invites. Must get them out there. He graduates in 5 weeks, does NOT seem even remotely possible. Yesterday was a pretty good day. Working hard to stay OP. Kris, cheetos & milk? Either alone, but together? HT, is he a "real" MD? Mindy, Woo hoo to new pants/smaller sizes! JL, congrats on the new baby! W 100 E OP E Stairs, walk, crunch, need to run tonight. D Stick to what works for you! |
I feel like giving up. Down 3 up 5. Yeppers, TOM left #5 behind when he left. Feeling so discouraged and got this bulge around the mid section that makes me feel sef-conscious. I hate the yuckies!
MTig- I am so happy for you!!! What a great NSV!!!! You deserve it! MM- I can't picture my kids in day care let alone graduation. I can't even imagine how you must be feeling. Hope you enjoy getting those invites ready! Nix- I think you covered the food groups with that snack. I have to admit I would have had coke with the cheetos! JL- congrats on the wonderful news. I'm standing for a friend this summer. I have the same anxiety about being the heaviest one in the wedding party. HT- is this doc for real? Not planning WEED today. I am on a WEED boycott because I'm so P#@$ed with me! |

The dog and kitty funny cracked me up. Nix- you know what they say, more than a handful is just a waste. Oh, that's not about Cheetos though. Well, it still applies. Can you tell what kind of mood I'm in???:p HT- I would garauntee that my hormones are screwed to the max. I would love someone to "fix" them for me. Grazer- Girl, this is my life history. You guys are a riot. Nah, the pity party is over. Seeings how I suck at weight loss challenges maybe the challenge for this week will be to log a certain number of exercise hours. Thoughts?

Let's try for 6 hours of exercise this week. Allows for one day off and one hour a day the rest (that's my plan anyway) I am going to try and get a bit of weights in there too. I suck at those, but am back up about 8 pounds from my just before vaca low and want to wear my khaki shorts for YS grad party and presently, they look like crap on my large a$$. I have to get my running up, cause I signed up for that half marathon in September knowing it would force me to move. Today I am going to run approx 3 miles which will take me just about 30 minutes with warm up and cool down and then I think I will do a 30 min shred. Mindy!! 188!! Rock on!! |
Hi everybody. Long time no see. So good to see sooo many familiar "faces" still here. I am soooo going to try to check in with you all every single day!!! I am really hoping that this summer is going to find me getting smaller and smaller again. I did the best thing i could possibly do for myself....i rejoined my gym. Well...i rejoined the gym. I have been going to the local Family Y here in my town instead of the one i used to go to when i had a job. But i have found classes there that i really love also. My teenage daughter and my two little girls have been going to excersize classes also, and they love it. I go for at least 2 hours a day...everyday. I've lost no weight yet....but that's because i just started Tuesday and my body is so sore!!! lol. There are so many different classes that i want to take. I have tried Pilates, Power Pilates Kickboxing, Body Fusion and worked out on the elliptical and treadmill and weights. Next week we are trying the Strength class, Zumba, BellyRok and Step...on top of the other classes i have already tried. I am also trying to eat healthy again. I finally made my broccoli cheese casserole that only has 108 calories per serving and drinking my water again. I think that by July 4th...i could be in the high 140's. I'm going to shoot for 148.

I actually went to the gym yesterday! I ended up walking the track for over an hour. I checked out the steam room, and god it was SOOO steamy, I loved it! But....it's coed. Big, hairy half naked men. Ugh. :no: The squats challenge is KILLING ME! My thighs were so freakin sore yesterday, I could barely walk. TOM started two days ago and totally f-ed up my WI. :dz: Stupid jerk. I got a new computer! It was a total surprise too. The door rang Thursday morning and it was a FedEx guy saying 'I got your new computer!' and I'm like 'What computer?' :lol: I was in the process of trying to buy a computer through my union and paying it through payroll deduction but I was waiting on my payroll card. Apparantly, they sent the info to Dell before me and Dell went ahead and shipped my computer! I checked with both Dell and the canteen and they both have the order, the computer I picked out. :dunno: Oh well. It's kinda cool. I've never had a brand new computer. The flat screen is so cool! |
Hey girls. Having a hard working weekend. Been outside all day doing some planting. A small little project turned out to be much more work than I thought. i still have a ton to do, but that is normal. That's what happens when you have 2 acres. Actually got ex-hubbie to do some stuff today. Now if I can get him to finish it.
The scale is screwing with me again. After that nice low yesterday I go up 2 pounds today. WTH??? I did everything right yesterday. Who knows. I am on plan for today also. I have not done an "official" workout, but I think my gardening counts. Have a great weekend girls. |
Mindy....gardening definately counts as excersize. Congrats on getting the exhubbie to help.
Shari....yay for a new computer. I've never had a "new" one either. I hope to maybe get a new one this next year. Mmavis...thanks for the welcome back. I absolutely love my broccoli cheese casserole. This time i made it in a round baking dish. I cut it like you would a pizza...into 8 slices. It's soooo easy to make too. It's a small container of egg whites, a small frozen package of broccoli florets, a small diced up onion, a little soy sauce (not in the recipe, but i like to sautee my broccoli and onions in a little bit for taste...hehehe), a cup of shredded fat free cheedar cheese, and about 1/2 a cup of skim milk. Sautee the onions and broccoli until soft (like i said, i like to sautee mine in a little soy sauce, but the recipe doesn't actually call for it). In a round pie dish or 8x8(?) baking dish, spray it with a little pam and pour the egg whites, broccoli and onions into the dish, add the milk, a little salt and pepper to taste and mix it all up. then mix in the cup of cheese. put it in the over for 45 minutes at 350 degrees. If you cut this into the 8 slices, it comes up to 108 calories. i really like this. you get protein and veggies in. Uggg....i feel like i really over did the eating thing today. I know i burned alittle over 300 calories at the gym today (according to the treadmill and elliptical) and i tried to eat sensibly but i feel like i over did it. I had 2 cups of coffee today (with splenda and sugar free creamer (90 calories for the two cups)), and my broccoli cheese casserole (108 calories), then a banna for snack, then i had nachos for lunch, i made them homemade ( a couple slices of velvetta cheese, lots of salsa and about two spoon fulls of low fat sour cream on tortilla chips. Then i had an apple for a snack before i made dinner....and then dinner....oh my. I had homemade chineese. I made pot stickers (they were fried in conalla oil (sp???) and made from ground pork. I ate 4. I had an egg roll i bought from the grocery store (oven cooked), i had homemade sesame chicken (made from chicken breast with rice vinegar and honey and soy sauce), and then zuccini/broccoli/mushrooms/onions sauteed in a rice vinegar/soysauce based sauce. I feel mostly bad about eating the egg roll and deep fried pot stickers. But i definately don't cook like this very often. And i do and have been excersizing about two hours a day. So, maybe if i drink lots of water tomorrow (although that's about all i drink after my morning coffee...and excersize 2 hours tomorrow...maybe it will be okay). |

(I know I am late sorry) I haven't been able to get on this board all weekend. but I am here now right :) So we bought a new truck Payments are highter than I wanted but well aren't they all? My bad luck does continue though, I think one of my cats died yesterday. DH is so upset right now, :( I still have a crappy cold, but the vice on my chest is lessening so that is good. I gotta get going, I will post more tomorrow. |

Lumi, that sounds yummy, will definitely try this week!! Mindy, I got some gardening in yesterday too, was the day for it. There was a plant swap in town, went with a friend and then we both went home and planted what we swapped for!! I did my exercise yesterday, but swapped out the Shred for my hula hoop, so did 30 minute run/walk in the am and hula hooped last night while I watched TV. JL, congrats on the new 'puter!! OK, so Sunday sticking with it plan!! W 100 at least! E More running, more hula hooping and a short weights session. E OP D Off to church, then at least an hour with those invites. |
