W.O.W. Declaration of THINdependence ~ Week 4!

:carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot: Four on the Floor Girls!!! High gear needs to kick in right now. We are starting the 2nd Quarter of the 12 week game ladies! (Lets see... 12 weeks, 4 3week quarters? I guess thats right).

So in case you are not committed (ahem... ) or in a funk (ahem, ahem...) this is the week to shake it. Lets do it. THINdependence is not impossible. Small commitments, big results. I need you ladies... I commit to:

Getting here to check in with you all everyday this week (the last 3 days will be from AZ again... but I am going to do it) (MY E2 COMMITMENT)

30 Minutes 4 Days (My Grazer Commitment)

25 Mmunches a day (My MMavis Commitment)

Remembering "that girl" daily (My Mtiggie Commitment)

Okay ladies.... what are you committing to this week. And SOMEONE needs to start a mini challenge!!!!!!!

ROCK IT!

WEED TODAY:
W- 32 down... shooting for 90
E- 1600 or less
E- 30 minutes plus Mmunches
D- Do not give up... EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Grazer 05-04-2009 06:59 PM

Nix- Got my walk into for today. Thanks for the kick in the ****

Had a good day again today. Gonna make Tuesday happen too!

W- 3-4 glasses
E- Mindful
E- Walk at lunch; stretch band during commercials in the evening
D- Sending my intention to the universe

mtiger 05-04-2009 07:35 PM

Nix- I am SO HAPPY that I could be some inspiration for you. I will totally ride your butt if you want me to. Some people don't like to be pushed, but others do. What does it take?? Positive reinforcement, shame, heartfelt honesty? I will do whatever it takes.

MM- I know that I have to stick with the exercise. If one day goes by, then another and another. Nope!!! Can't have that!!!

As a matter of fact, let's make that our mini-challenge this week. I challenge all of you to get in some form of exercise, every day this week. Go big, or go home. Make a plan and stick with it. For one week. We can all do one week.

Here's mine:
I will get 45 min. of exercise in everyday.

Monday- 30 min. of BL bootcamp and 12 min/1 mile run. 42 min.

I did strength last night so I am up some today. That always happens. TOM should be arriving tomorrow, so i see weight loss in my future.

e32 05-04-2009 08:25 PM

kris, thanks for the inspiration! :) i love it! alright, i'll be here, everyday this week--even if it's just to say hi. (although hopefully i'll be here to report good news) :)

also, i'm definitely on board with the mini challenge. today is my butt kicking monday--1 hour swimming this morning and then 1 hour cardio and weight lifting tonight after my rehearsal...got to keep plugging away!

talk to you ladies tomorrow!

e.

Nixmom 05-04-2009 10:58 PM

Here it is chicas!!!

E32 - I'm back and posting girlie.

Mtiggie - Dang right push me like a shopping cart that only wants to turn right. Ride my butt like we're in rush hour traffic. Call me out in front of my virtual friends. I NEED IT!!!

Grazer - 30 minutes done. I walked up and down my driveway (picture 1/8th mile long at 45%) 3 times and ran/walked 10 laps around the outside of my house. Tried to wear the dog out... she was pumped for more. :^:

Mmavis - I did 25 crunches, that's all it took to get my breastbone area muscles convulsing. THEN I made my BF do the throw my legs down sit up thingy. I know, sounds funny, dont know how to describe it, but I did 40 more.

Okay... going hunting for JCat, Clykk, and Nchellie. Giving JAYA, FAB and Lady a day to get here or I'm going hunting again.

I feel soooo renewed after a little exercise and POP eating day. Thanks for being here girls!

JAYAGODDESS 05-05-2009 12:18 AM

mothermavis 05-05-2009 06:10 AM

I am with ya'll, wish you lived here so we could exercise together, hate exercise!!

Went running after work last night, so tonight will have to be a walk, probably a dreadmill inspired one since it is supposed to rain here..

W 100 oz
E OP
E Crunches and 45 minutes more of exercise in some form
D Make it a good day!

ladynredd 05-05-2009 07:40 AM

Hey guys, I'm here too. You can run, but you cannot hide! (insert sinister laugh)

Yes, Nixmom, it was Cagliero's Nursery. I want them to send some of their hummingbirds our way -- they had one that made its way inside and was zooming around the ceiling!

Today is one of my two "long days" at work. I'm captioning an East Coast city council meeting so I start at 6 a.m. California time! :fr: Best I can say is that that means I'll be done in mid-afternoon and can still go swimming. Thank you God for ibuprofen ...

W -- 8 glasses
E -- OP
E -- 45 minute swim
D -- this is a LIFESTYLE :sumo: (I like the way this little guy stomps his foot!)

Donna D., Hemet, CA

e32 05-05-2009 03:33 PM

hi everyone...nix--here i am :)

just plugging along:

W 64 and no caffeine today (experiment)
E 1 hour swimming
E focus on serving sizes even with healthy food
D just another day...stick with the plan

jaya, ladyinredd i think you joined when i was mia...but i'm looking foward to getting to know you better--glad you're here :)

mm--good luck with the walk later...it's raining here too :P

hi to everyone else out there...hope you're having good days

RowdyBliss 05-05-2009 04:17 PM

Hi everybody... I'm new, but not-so-new...

You know the W.O.W. explanation that gets copied/pasted at the beginning of each of your new challenges? Yeah, well guess who originally wrote that...! ME (with help and input from the veterans)! :D I was one of the founding members of W.O.W., and I'm really glad to see you all still going.

I've had some... uh... difficulties over the past year, but today I am recommitting. Is it too late for me to jump on board for this challenge?

Okay - so July 4 seems like it's really far away, but it'll be here before we know it. And, recognizing that I'm kind of starting over and terrified of overwhelming myself with too much too soon, I'm going to set my goals really super-small. Here's what I'd like to accomplish:

1) Re-implement an exercise routine, and stick to it; and

2) Get to 155. I recognize I may exceed this, but I think 155 is a good starter goal.

Oh, yeah, and 3) do my daily dose of WEED:

W - Finish drinking my daily 62 oz. (only 35 oz. to go!)

E - I am going to get to the gym this evening and start myself at a brisk walk. This week is walking only - next week, I would like to start C25k (I've done it before, I can do it again!)

E - A bit late in the day for declaring calories, but it's never too late to make a good choice, so I plan to grab a salad for dinner. (I'd cook for myself, but that means I'd have to cook for the ex-husband, too, and frankly I'm kind of done with that!!)

D - I'm going to give myself a big pat on the back for coming back here, and a big kick in the pants to get myself going!! :dizzy:

And thanks, e32, for pointing me here!

Nixmom 05-05-2009 04:20 PM

Where my girls at????

I am a little off plan today. Cinco De Mayo potluck is the ! But it is over, I am done. Had a small helping of beans, guac, torilla soup, pork green chile and 2 (dang it!) small brownies. But I skipped my snack and had eaten my good little breakfast.

Looking forward to my 30 minutes of exercise tonight. Gonna need it! AND I got 7 hours sleep last night. I think the exercise actually helps me sleep better! My mood is improving day by day!

Lady- I love the hummingbirds in the valley. We get them out by our house all the time (green acres area) and I could just hang out and watch them for hours. Unfortunately, we also have really smart ants and super ingenious bees that like to go after the feeder juice. Anyways... hope your early morning turned out to be the short day you were hoping for.

HolyT - I didn't forget about you in my last post... get here or prepare to be hunted. :D

Rowdy - I see you posted in the old thread... I am coming to help you cross over ;)
UPDATE: E32 FOUND YOU ~ WELCOME BACK BACK (FROM AN OLDER NEWBIE!)
All you other lovely chicks :drill:YOU BEST CHECK IN IF YA KNOW WHATS GOOD FOR YA!:drill: WE'RE TAKING CONTROL OF OUR WAIST LINES LADIES. THIS AINT FOR SISSIES!

JAYAGODDESS 05-05-2009 04:28 PM

Good Afternoon:grouphug:

How is everyone doing this morning? Two more days I am getting the WII FIT. I am so excited I cant wait.... :) ..... I am drinking water today .....this is a very gooooood thing....so far no soda....whew....although my body is saying pepsi..hahahah...

This is going to sound so weird...my ex is getting married in August and we are friends he is more like a brother to me now than anything. They invited me and my kids to their wedding. I am so excited for them...but I want to look good though and not all frumpy...lol.. :) I cant wait to see them and also see my ex's mom she is a sweetheart....we are like family. I know it is weird..but he and I have not been together for like 5 years or so. Omg I am so rambling...lol

Cheers~

JasonsLea 05-05-2009 04:46 PM

 girls!

I got the internet and cable installed yesterday morning so I'll be back to my regular posting tomorrow! I'm at work right now, massive headache already. :headache: I'm off tomorrow and Thursday, both of which will be spent unpacking all my junk.

SUZ! How are you been?!?!

Grazer 05-05-2009 07:24 PM

Nix- I'm with you for the mini challenge. I agree about the exercising and POP. It feels great! Totally agree with the mood thing too!

Mtig- I like the heart felt honesty. Give it to me whenever.

MM- Wouldn't it be great if we could have an exercise group?

E32- I'm with you on your "E". Portions

Jay- I love wii fit. Problem is I don't use it enough. The time flies when I use it. My E for tonight is wii fit.

Rowdy- welcome back. I've only been around for about 1.5 years. When did WOW start?

JL- hope you get selled soon.

Has anybody heard from JCat? Seems she hasn't been around for a while

Good day today. Maybe a little too much at dinner. Not feeling like I completely went over board so I can deal. Gotta go get my 30 mins of exercise in so I can keep up with the mini- challenge.

Tomorrow:

W- 3-4 glasses
E- Mindful
E- walk or video
D- I own it!

NurseMichelle 05-05-2009 07:52 PM

Hey gals, I'm crawling out from under the rock I've been hiding. I've missed you all so much! And I was so excited to see Suz (RowdyBliss) come back. I just posted under your intro and mentioned that we still use your post as the intro to WOW!

I'll tell you all my whole gory story tomorrow sometime when I have some time and a little privacy. I had lost some weight, and gained it back so probably somewhere around whatever my ticker says.

mtiger 05-05-2009 08:01 PM

okay girls. Calories are good for today. Did a 30 min. walk with my friend. Then when she was done I did a mile run in 12 min. Got my food in and my exercise.

I have to go watch tv now, so this is short. SOrry!!! But one last thing to say.

Kick some butt girls!!!

RowdyBliss 05-05-2009 08:20 PM

Oh, man, I didn't realize how much I MISSED you girls!! We have quite a bit of catching up to do, don't we?

((((SHARI!)))) How you been, girl?? Looks like you moved! I'm getting ready to move - two weeks! I posted on the Introduction thread - sort of the "Reader's Digest" version of what happened to me - but I'm so ready to put that all behind me and MOVE ON.
I guess, in a way, I kind of lost 165 pounds, didn't I...? :lol3:

SO! I did not get to the gym tonight as planned, BUT I do plan to go tomorrow morning, since I can't seem to sleep past 5 a.m. anymore... PLUS I have bellydancing class tomorrow night, which is always fun and an awesome workout. I love the way bellydancing makes me feel: earthy, vital, sexy. And that kind of dance just LOVES girls with hips and boobs, like me!! :D

OK, girls - enough for me tonight - I have packing to do, laundry to put away, and sleep to be had.

See you tomorrow!

p.s. Did I say yet how good it feels to be back?? :grouphug:

Nixmom 05-05-2009 10:55 PM

WOOT! Look at the action here! I love it!

Just finished 30 minutes of cardio. 40 throwdown situp thingies... turned down BF's offer for dinner at our favorite burger joint (check, check, Mtiggie~ is this thing on.... note 1 NSV for me) and we just found out that the owner of the place just purchased the burger place out by our house...

Lady - do you KNOW Steve's burger on Santa Fe? Yeah, thats the place. He just bought Chris Burger in Winchester.. much to my chagrin. :^:

Anywho... Suz... going to go read your info on the intro. But glad you have graced the thread again.

JAYA - I totally applaud you for the friends with the ex thing. Mindy knows about that as well. I think that it shows maturity and is especially excellent if you share kids from that relationship. I wouldn't date my BF unless he made an effort to get along with the mothers of his kids. I think its huge. Good for you... now go get HOT for that dress girlie!!

E32 - so proud you are getting here! and thanks for partnering in daily posting!

NCHELLIE!!!!! - my gambling story buddy. BF said "Laughlin" and I thought Nchelle would love it! So happy you are back with a bit of giggle in ya.

Okay.. gotta go shower and watch TBL ~ dang California always 2 to 3 hours behind.

Be Good to Yourselves! Later!

FABlynne 05-05-2009 10:56 PM

Hi ladies!!!

Have been dealing with major family issues and moving into my new place since Friday!! Considering all of the stress that I have been under, I managed to stay on my eating plan and get to the gym. I feel so bad that I haven't posted, but I thought about everyone. Things are smoothing out, so this is a great week for me to refocus my energy. I haven't gotten on the scale this week (still packed away!), but I do feel a bit lighter, so I think I may be down a pound or two. I definitely have to unpack my scale tomorrow! So all in all, even with all the chaos going on right now, I still feel pretty good about my staying on track with my weight loss. Seeing how motivated everyone is has given me such a boost, it's so wonderful! I know we are all going to kick butt this week!!!

Goals For The Week:

1. 45 minutes minimum cardio
2. run 1 mile daily
3. drink 160 oz. of water
4. check in daily

I'm really excited about this week and weeks ahead. I think we are all getting closer!

mothermavis 05-06-2009 06:19 AM

My weight continues to track in the wrong direction, so, really need to sort that out, but think it's just body trying to get used to a bit different WOE. Was trying to get away from low-carb, but may give up on that soon if the weight continues to climb.

Rowdy, welcome back.

Fab, glad you are here. Stress, we understand!!

NMich, we have missed you!!

Kris - you always make me smile!

Mindy, you make me tired!

Grazer, I so want an exercise group with ya'll. I found one for one night a week, that's going to have to be enough for now.

All I missed, sorry, but must get moving or will not have time for crunches.

W 100 missing this the last few days, suck it up.
E OP, I think maybe it has to be the low carb plan, was trying combining, but appears to make me bigger.
E Crunches, stairs, walk at lunch if it's not raining. Video tonight
D Focus dammit.

RowdyBliss 05-06-2009 11:21 AM

'Morning, girls -

Still feeling pretty good, although I didn't make it to the gym this morning. I just could NOT sleep last night (yes, Fab, understand your stress!!!) and so this morning getting out of bed was a big ol' chore. Excuses, excuses, I know...

I bought something fun - it's a water bottle that holds 62 oz. of water, and it's got little marks on one side that say "hour 1, hour 2, hour 3" and so forth, and on the other side little marks for increments of 9 oz. each. Basically - it helps me keep a water-drinking "pace" during the day. I think this will be a useful tool!

@NurseMichelle - hope you're hanging in there, hun. Take it a day at a time... a minute at a time... even a second at a time, if that's what it takes...

@Nixmom - your energy is absolutely CONTAGIOUS!! :hyper:

@Shari - good luck with your unpacking... shame you don't live closer, I'd be bumming boxes from you!

@Everyone else - have a FANTASTIC day! Remember, every time you have a choice is an opportunity to do something good for yourself - and good choices add up to great results.

W - 62 oz - with the help of my new water jug!

E - 1300 calories, and keeping track with my CalorieKing food diary

E - Belly dance class tonight, w00t!

D - Today is a new day and another step toward a better me.

e32 05-06-2009 02:02 PM

hi everyone...it's nice to see some enthusiasm! :) (thanks nix for kicking our butts into gear)!!!!

i'm going to keep my weed pretty much the same as yesterday:

W 64 and no soda (:()
E 1 hour swimming
E healthy food, healthy PORTIONS
D one more day of doing this!

missed you michelle, glad to 'see' you :)

rowdybliss, good to see you here too...your new water bottle sounds awesome, where did you find it?

lynne, glad you're back...i think you joined when i was mia...looking forward to getting to know you better :)

jaya, i think it's great that you're happy for your ex and you've been able to be friends. keep up the good work and you're going to look great at the wedding :) i understand your pepsi cravings...mine are for coke zero...i'm trying an experiment to see if my cravings for other sweets are less when i'm not drinking soda (i read about that somewhere)

grazer, have fun with the wii fit...you and jaya are lucky, i'd love to have a wii fit (and guitar hero--haha) :)

mm, how long have you been doing low carb...sometimes it takes the body a bit to adjust to a new diet. i had to eat a no-carb diet for 3 months (for health reasons) a couple years ago and it was so hard...i don't know how people do it...i love bread and bread related things! :) whenever i cut carbs, i do tend to lose weight, but it's not sustainable for me, when i add the carbs back the weight comes back. i'm just not willing to give them up forever, so i just eat a healthy way that i could continue forever...this feels the most stable to me...but you have to decide what is best for you. good luck with this--may we all find a successful eating plan :)

nix, good for you turning down the burgers...that's a hard one for me when my friends want to eat somewhere like that...hope you're doing well...thanks again for helping me get here everyday!

anyone hear from jeni or ht?

i'm off to the pool--have a great day everyone, talk to you tomorrow!

RowdyBliss 05-06-2009 05:40 PM

Found the water bottle at Happy Harry's, which is our local drugstore chain - which was just bought out by Walgreen's, so presumably a Walgreen's store would have it, too. Seems to have worked, too - I finished all my water for the day! I think it's easier for me when I pace myself.

As for exercise... well, I have my belly dancing tonight, but I think I've burned enough calories doing the pee-pee dance to the bathroom all day! :D I guess my body will adjust itself to drinking so much water.

TOM approaches, and so do the cravings... I want nothing more than to eat a greasy old grilled cheese sandwich loaded with pickles. Awful!

How do you girls deal with your cravings??

Grazer 05-06-2009 06:37 PM

MM- Focusing is half the battle for me. Hang in there!

E32- Love wii fit and guitar hero. DH is addicted I'm sure! I notice you're in the 150s. WTG!! That's been my goal since forever!

Rowdy- Great water bottle. Would love to try belly dancing. Do you do videos too? I like what you said about choice

I had two NSVs today. Walked today instead of shopping, when I really wanted to go buy a shirt. It was a nice day and it woud have been 30 mins or so by the time I got to the mall. Then, I had soup for lunch while my dining pals had take out. I don't care what the scale says this week because I feel great!

Nix- thanks for getting the old motivator going again!

Thursday WEED:

W- 3-4 glasses
E- Mindful; going to be dining out again for lunch
E- Cardio; maybe a video or treadmill
D- I own it!

mtiger 05-06-2009 08:34 PM

I have a few more minutes tonight. Let me catch up.

Michelle- Welcome back home. Hope you are doing okay.

Nix- Good for you girl. You are working out and passing up the junk food. Look at you lightin that fire under your arse.

Rowdy- It will be fun getting to know you.

Fab- hope things get settled soon.

MM- I make myself tired sometimes. Crunch away girl!!

E- Have fun swimming. That is one exercise I wish I could do. No pool access though and NO SWIMSUIT!! The thought makes me shudder.

Grazer- Here is the gentle honesty. I hope you got that workout in today. Must workout!!!

My 5k buddy and I worked on building her distance today. We've got a plan. Running M TU TH F, W- strength training. We worked for about 30 min. tonight. TOM has struck with a vengence. What did I ever do to him??? Weight is starting to go down a bit already. YIPPY!!!

Nixmom 05-07-2009 12:25 AM

Wowie Zowie! I had a bad bad day to day. Work has me ready to lose it. Literally. I have never taken "happy" pills in my life. When I quit smoking my doctor prescribed Xanax. I filled it, never took it and threw it out about 2 months ago. Today I went in to pick up ye ole birth control pills, and begged the counter lady to give me a Xanax refill. She said no.

Guilty item #2. Day was so bad that I made BF wait for me to go shopping so we could coupon up the savings. Took my big ole folder into the store and defiantly refused to hunt for the coupons cuz I didnt feel like it. Whats up with me?

Guilty item #3. We went to the burger joint, I got 2 chicken tacos... not fried though, and rice AND BEANS. I need this vacation girls. I have so much energy and the stresses of work are making me manifest it in horrible ways today. I worked 6am to 5:15 today. One more day then river till the 20th.

So... really WANT to do personals, but need a good nights sleep to refresh.

DONT LET THE ENERGY DIE!!!! ONE BAD DAY DOES NOT A BAD WEEK MAKE! I'M FORCING MYSELF TO DANCE MY ARSE OUTTA THE THREAD TONIGHT... WOOT WOOT.... :carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot::carrot::c arrot::carrot: nighters!

mothermavis 05-07-2009 06:16 AM

C'mon Kris, you can do it. One more day then Vacation!!!

Short time this morning!!

W 100
E POP
E Running tonight, crunching this morning
D Sticking to it.

Nixmom 05-07-2009 09:32 AM

K ladies... Its morning, I'm back. Fresh cup-o-joe, prayers said that I finish this bid, these district assessments, and this grant application by 2pm so I can split this Popsicle stand, go home pack and be on my way.... Ahhhh....

Quick personals ~

Grazie ~ good for you on your soup and walking choices! That is what it takes, the ability to stop and make the right decision, not dwell on "missing" out on something else. It takes strength to think "I feel good and to to keep it that way!" Yay for you missy!

Mtiggie.... whoops... I was probably eating my bad food while you were typing my praises. Sorry. I am taking you with me to the river though. You will not be getting your helping of anything I eat. Remember that. I'm back to it. No food for you on my plate, only what I need to eat :D

MMavis - WE can do it. I am determined to stay OP today with food since exercise is probably not going to make it into my day today. Maybe though, if the work goes smoothly.

K - everyone else have a wonderful day. I gotta get to it!

OH! I did get a PM from Jen. she's alive and well and will pop in when she can.

FABlynne 05-07-2009 10:40 AM

Good morning ladies!

Yesterday went pretty well. I had an excrutiating migraine all day but I still pushed myself into the gym and got a great workout in. I feeling alot better today. So I still haven't unpacked my scale and it is driving me crazy! LOL! I have to do that today, no excuses.

mothermavis: You may need to increase your carb intake if you are working out pretty hard.

RowdyBliss: Sounds like I could use that water bottle. Walgreens here I come!

e32: I am so glad to be apart of this amazing group of women. I have felt so welcomed from the start! It's amazing.

Grazer: Way to go!!! Keep up the good work! Postive energy is so contagious!
Spread it all around!

Mtiger: Things are slowly but surely returning to normal. Thank you for your thoughts.

Nix: Keep dancing! I'll join you!! This week is almost over!

Ok ladies, I have to get to work now. Have a FABulous day!!!!!

RowdyBliss 05-07-2009 11:20 AM

Good morning, ladies - checking in with my daily WEED and seeing how you all are... looks like everyone's

Happy to report I was completely on-target yesterday! Of course, I don't feel very good because of the PMS thing (bloat, craving, ick), but I'm pretty happy that I stayed within my goals yesterday. It's just one day - but when the good days add up, the whole will be greater than the sum of the parts...

All we can do is take it one day at a time. One moment at a time, really. One slip-up doesn't ruin a day, after all... and when we trip, we can't give up and say we blew it, screw it, we might as well go OP for the rest of the day. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again! :)

Not much time for personals as they've got me hopping here today, but Grazer, I wanted to say that I do not do the bellydance videos BUT there are some very good ones out there. There are also some excellent instructional videos on YouTube which are useful for learning basic moves - but there really is no replacement for having a good teacher who can correct moves and make sure you don't hurt yourself. There's a lot of muscular isolation in bellydancing, which is why it's such a great workout - but as with any dance, the chances of hurting your back/neck are very great. Best to go to a pro for instruction! I go for my lesson once a week ($14 per lesson), and I practice at home for added exercise.

OK, girlies, atcha later - WEED:

W - 62 oz
E - 1300 calories, all kept in food diary, NO EXCUSES
E - My gym bag is with me - 30 minutes of run/walk on the treadmill, and some upper-body weight training
D - actually, for my daily affirmation, I'd like to share a poem:

Now I wake me up to live,
I'll give life all I have to give.
If today I face a test,
I'll cope and pray and do my best.
With each breath and step I take,
Be with me, Lord, for heaven's sake
AMEN!

Go get 'em today, girls!!!!!!!:grouphug:

jcatron243 05-07-2009 11:28 AM

Morning ladies. Is it Thursday already. I am around, still hanging in there and doing most of my WEED. I promised Nixie I would get in here and post yesterday but then I got called into work. But I am here :) I still haven't made it to the gym. I swear if it isn't one thing it is another. The stomach virus that hit us while we were in Disneyland struck back with a vengance. EWW! Mak has been to the doctor twice in two weeks with headaches (ya she's five I know). Then this dang roof thing is driving me nuts. We finally get everything ready then More rain and wind. The contracters need a few days of nice weather. ERRRRRRRRR. Todays reason: Tommy's sick, nothing too terrible but the daycare room wont let him come in if he coughs just once. I do understand, but still.

But on the good front, Damage from not working out is minimal, I can finally get back to costco to restock my salad/fruit/ everything that I know works for weight loss now that my wallet has recovered from fixing the fridge. Once I start eating cleaner I know I will get my motivation to get back to the gym.

Oh yea, Welcome back Suz!! I have been wondering about you lately.

Michelle  I am glad you checked in.

RowdyBliss 05-07-2009 01:56 PM

 Jeni!! Yeah, it's been kind of a crazy ride, but I'm mostly hanging in there! You look GREAT!!! Keep up the fantastic work!

We've had our share of rain here, too... been raining for over a week, and we're not expected to see any sunshine until Sunday. I think it's starting to affect everyone's moods in the office - everyone's grousing at each other.

Can't wait to get outta here and get to the gym for my "me time..."

Grazer 05-07-2009 06:50 PM

Today sucks. Just a crappy day all around. Ate well. Tried to exercise but nothing worked out. I am extremenly irritated with everything today. PMS and men...urg

Too out of sorts for personals but needed to check in.

Anyone remember the song "I Am Woman, Here Me Roar"? That's me for sure today. Cheers!

mtiger 05-07-2009 09:43 PM

I did 3 miles with my friend today. I am feeling rather Jillian by the way. I am so happy for her progress. She is really pushing herself and I am right there by her side to keep her going. Our 5k is on June 13th. Gotta train hard for this.

Nix- Kelly (my friend) can't work out tomorrow, or monday with me. I told her, and her hubbie, she must get one run in this weekend. Now as for you my dear. I realize you will be on a vacation, but don't you dare just sit around on your duff. At least go for some nice long walks. Talk that boyfriend into a romantic moonlit walk, or 2.

MM- Keep on runnin'.

Jeni- Sorry to hear life has thrown you more curve balls. You hang in there.

Grazer- Tomorrow is a new day. It will be better.

MMavis - I love the quote in your signature line...

Good morning, girls! I started out great yesterday, but it spiraled downward. I missed my workout because I had to go home and let the dog out - my ex-husband (whom I still share the house with - ugh) decided to call me AS I WAS ON MY WAY TO THE GYM and tell me that he was "working late" (isn't it cute how he still lies, even though we're divorced!) and that I needed to go home and let the dog out, give him his meds, etc. So I had to rearrange my ENTIRE night to take care of the dog... which he's insisting on keeping after I move out (probably to hurt me). I swear, he has always gotten his kicks out of sabotaging my plans, my dieting efforts...

Sorry, didn't want this to turn into a rant session... but it's just been so freakin' hard. In two weeks, I will be moving into my cute little new house - away from the abuse and the hurt and DONE with him forever!!! I'm excited to work on ME again - not just to look good and be healthy, but to feel like a human being with worth.

But this isn't all about Suz, so enough of that!

How's everyone doing this morning??

Jeni, I know what you mean about heading back to work being good for your diet. It's so much easier to stick to the plan when it's part of your daily routine. That's something we can all learn from: creating a routine and sticking to it. The less variables there are, the less chances there are to stray from good choices!

Grazer, I'm right there with you with the PMS. I am woman, hear me roar, indeed!

Mtiger, I'm jealous - I want to do a 5k. I was doing C25k last year and got injured right before my race (stress fractures)... and then the stuff hit the fan... but I plan to get back to it this year. Good luck with your 5k - don't push too hard before your race!

Nix, don't know if you'll see this, but have a WONDERFUL vacation!!

FAB, hope you're feeling better. Migraines are the worst - I'm out-of-sorts for DAYS after I have one. It's like recovering from a hangover, but worse. Hang in there!

JasonsLea... helloooo? Are you among us?

I'm sorry if I've missed anybody... probably have... my, how this group has grown. :D

Daily dose of WEED:

W: 62 oz.
E: 1300 calories, accounted-for, written-down, no excuses!
E: No time for working out today - I have a show tonight, and two more tomorrow... maybe will try to go tomorrow morning?
D: In two weeks, I will be UNSTOPPABLE! :carrot:

Have a FANTASTIC Friday, everyone!!
