Just back from vacation and I managed to show a major gain. I thought I ate pretty well, so am hoping it's mostly water. ***I just went back to look, I thought I was less than 145 when we left, wishful thinking, I was 148.0, so I am only up 4.5, hoping for lots of water off in the next few days. (the scale showed 159 when I got home Saturday at Midnight, that did not help me sleep!!)

OK - after a week and a half of not logging my calories, Easter and going away for a few days and eating pub food, I am back, almot 5 lb heavier!! Eeek!!

The only good thing is that I tend to lose these kinds of gains fairly quickly so here we go.

One pound lost = 20 per cent of the goal. My biggest pitfall is having to journal. It's a pain. I also quit smoking. So right now I am motivated about my health. Feeling OK, but got a sinus cold at the same time. I cooked a turkey so I am going to make soup today to keep in the freezer.

Almost there! I finally figured out why the scale wasn't budging, I was eating WAY too much sodium. So I cut back on my sodium and looks like it did me good! :D

Down one lb. Still not back to my SW. This whole process can be so frustrating. Big losses and then no losses. If only weight loss were 100% predictable--Wishful thinking.

I haven't reported here in the past few days. Not much comig off my weight but at least I am down a bit. I haven't been doing well on the exercise front and that it is what is slowing me down. Once this semester at school is done I'll have the time I need to get the exercise in again.

econ nerd - I'm with you on the school thing slowing me down. So many people keep telling me not to use it as an excuse! I sure try not to, but it is so hard. I just don't think people know what it is like. When you are in school, it is like during the day you report to school (which is like your full time job). Then you have homework, papers, reports, tests and quizzes to study for at home. So, it isn't like you get to go to work, clock out, and come home to do whatever you want. Then if you have a job on top of that and anything else like children and housework...you have a really full plate! I don't have a job, but I do have a little girl (almost 2) and a hubby and house work. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is I feel ya! And you are doing well despite your obstacles!

I am on the teaching side of school (at a university). The semester gets busy for faculty as the semester draws to a close too - we get to grade all the work that students are busy completing. Also this semester I am taking over the teaching responsibilities for a colleague who is on maternity leave. So for the last three weeks of the term (one down two to go) I also have to teach three of her classes on top of my own.... Usually I do make sure I make it to the gym at least three mornings a week (my non-teaching mornings) and try to get some time in on my treadmill on the other mornings. But I am meeting myself coming around the corner right now and am really pressed for time. Next week won't be as busy as we will be doing a lot of review (and I have some TAs who will be doing that). All will be back to normal soon enough. Now I am simply trying to keep up with everything!

Lunch break is done and it's back to the books... Must review what I am going to be teaching tomorrow so I know what on earth I am talking about!
