  • So when you win you get to make your own rules too? Well if I ever win one I will have to remember that.

Heck no never mind ....I will use today's weight for tomorrow......since we are benting the rules and all
  • lol guess so
  • Still the same here!

Jass - Good idea. I only WI in the mornings anyway. I don't think today's weight should count since you won today. JMO... CONGRATS! Next one is mine! (Challenging myself a 'Lil!)
  • Thank you \
Does anyone know if I can participate in the next one or do i just watch? - just wondering..
  • Probably you should make up a rule for that too...or go back to challenge one and review the ones that have worked for 56 challenges. As far as I know, everyone is always welcome to participate in the next challenge, including the winner.

Sorry if I sound a little peeved, but I have to say that I am. I don't think that anyone, including the winner of the challenge, gets to change the rules. Especially without any input from anyone else who is involved. I have been doing these for a while, half the fun is how fast they move and someone, not me, because I usually lose .2 at a time, could easily be down 1.5 pounds between mid afternoon yesterday when this was won and whatever time tomorrow the new one get's started.
  • Jassica- Sorry I forgot to say congrats on winning :congrats:

JMO ...I agree the rules should not be changed either. Unless everyone thinks there should to be a change. I came here to do my daily weigh in and can't. Well I can but either it doesn't count or I feel like I'm cheating for starting a new challenge a pound less than everyone else. I will live though...who knows tomorrow may be a good day too.
  • Hey Challenge Friends!

Jassica - Congrats on the win!

For as long as I've been doing these the new challenge always starts immediately when the prior one is won so there is no lull in the action. And, yes, everyone can participate in back to back challenges.

I didn't weigh today and I took the first day of from exercise in a long, long time. I've stayed w/in my calorie plan for the last 2 days, but it did involve eating out on a few occassions and likely high sodium. I'm scared to get on the scale tomorrow. Not sure I may sit this one out and stay off the scale this week. We'll see.

I hope everyone had a fun and healthy weekend!
  • I've been wondering about the rules for this challenge anyway, because it moves so fast. LOL. I've just about decided not to worry about this one for myself. (Even if my week has been perfect, I lose very slowly.)

But I did a search on the 5 pound challenges and the first one was totally different from how they are now. Interesting. Do a search on Pound Challenge. Don't bother putting the 5 in, it won't take it. I don't have enough posts yet to post links. But apparently the first one was to see how long it took for each person to lose 5 pounds. Kind of a self challenge, I guess.
  • Quote: As soon as someone loses 5 lbs., we start another one. Anyone want to join?

This was post 1 of the first 5 pound challenge, 2/24/08. I am not going to keep at this. All I am saying is, if you join a challenge, you don't get to change the rules, if you disagree with the rules, you can always start your own challenge.

I have had a crappy choice day today anyway, I would have loved to post my weight this morning, but I will likely not even want to look at the scale tomorrow. We will see, if I wake up and my rings are tight, I will likely stay off the scale. Either way, we will all soldier on!!
  • Sw: 138.5
    Cw: 138
    Gw: 133.5

I rather prefer consistency in the rules myself. But I figure people can post whatever starting weight they think is correct, regardless of whether it's today or tomorrow.

Mothermavis, Sounds like you had a great weigh in. Congrats.

The 5 pound challenge I was referring to must have been a different one, it was in August of 2002, way back! lol
  • Wow, can you imagine how mach weight would have been lost total if I challenge lasted 7 years!! Even now, we are headed for 57, so we have lost 280 total!!

I was up a bit today, but not as bad as I feared. I am starting #57 at 152.6. Irritates me as I was at 148 last Saturday!! But I will stay focused and hopefully I can see that again by next Sunday. I want to be at 145 for April Fool's Day.
  • Congrats... though I have to say I don't agree with changing the rules.
  • I'm ready to weigh in this morning....can we get that thread started winner???
  • It's Monday - where's this thread then? I want to join the next one - I keep missing them!

FTR, I don't agree with changing the rules either - what if someone wins on a Tuesday - do we have to wait till the following Monday to start a new one?
