MARI--do you do the cash back thing from the fatwallet site? do they really pay you? Is it a scam? I am enjoying the deal sites so thanks for sharing...though I am not getting my work done today

Kosh - NSV= Nonscale victory.

I fell off yesterday completely. I didn't even log most of what I ate - but I'm starting over again today. I woke up with an awful headche this morning, and I have NO idea where in the world my tylenol is! UGH! *sigh*

My house that was perfectly clean yesterday looks like a tornado hit it due to 2 seven year old girls. I'm going to make them start picking up soon, since DD's friend is leaving in about an hour. It just AMAZES me how much damage they can do in such a short time!

I'm hoping that I can get rid of this head ache soon - and that my house gets back to normal.

Alright - I'm going to go get the girls ready and moving.

Thanks :D And like I said before...if it makes you feel GOOD about yourself it is Pampering!

silly question but what is NSV??

Not a silly question at all.... NSV stands for NON-Scale Victories....so any kind of weight loss victory that isn't tied to a number on a scale...like your clothes fitting loser or someone complimenting you or anything like that!

Hey ladies! So I finally got that mini-trampoline and let me tell you it is a workout!!!! My thighs and the side of my hips are killing me!!! I'm gonna work it though.....I hope to see a big loss this week. I want to get down to 230 in 7 weeks! It is soooo doable!

For my 30 minute walk DS and I went to the animal shelter and walked a dog. It is a husky and shepard mix. The dog seemed to enjoy the time out side as much as we enjoyed walking him. He even jumped the fence. We had to catch him, he was sorta playing tag/keep away. It was a blast. Doggie didn't want to go back inside. We felt good about volunteering our time. Pat

 everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend! We drove Kittie to Houston yesterday morning and I spent the night at my friend Desi's new house out in the country last night. I LOVED IT! It reminded me of when we lived out in Pleasant Grove which reminded me of when I first tried to lose weight the healthy way. All I wanted to do was walk around forever. It was BEAUTIFUL! I want a house out in the country. :)

sprkle- thats a good way to look at it, I like that. You gotta do it like other things that need to be done.

Seems like alot of us are gonna go all out on getting hair cuts and so on. Post some pics girls, I will too!

Melissa- I have the same trampoline from walmart, haha.

Kosh- I didnt know what NSV meant either.

Purple- Im with you, I reallly liked those deal sites too!

Well I have done HORRIBLE this week. I dont have long before Vegas and its shorts weather so therefore. I HAVE to get my butt in gear and make my shorts fit a little better. Im goig to the grocery store tonight to stock up on a weeks worth of food , healthy foods I mean so Ill stop eating horrible and get back on the horse witht the water intake.

McKenziesmomma 03-15-2009 10:21 PM

Heather - So let me get this straight.....you have a treadmill, a mini-trampoline, a wii fit, numerous workout DVD's AND a membership to a 24 hour gym and you still can't get into working out???

You know your strong suit may not be cardio....maybe you could try some strength training......like maybe focus on arms, back and abs for a month to 6 weeks....you know muscle burns calories even when you are asleep! I think if you see the results of your hard work you'll feel STRONG and SEXY and you'll keep it up and burn more calories when you do cardio....and you'll melt away those pounds in no time. Heather.....I know you hate exercise....but it is a FACT that you are gonna have to do it if you wanna lose weight....your gonna have to decide which you want more....thinner and healthier...or just stay the same OR WORSE gain more weight......whats it gonna be?

heather1979 03-15-2009 10:45 PM

Melissa- Thats correct! Yeah I do like strength training better than cardio. I thought if I did mostly strenght that I wouldnt lose the weight. I thought cardio was the fat blaster. And yes, we all have to figure out what we would rather have. Of coarse id rather be skinny but we are all in the same boat. Some just are doing better than others.

Hi Girls,
I hope everyone had a good weekend. I'm hoping for a better week this week, last week wasn't so great because I wasn't feeling well for part of it. Right now I have a pounding headache that won't go away, UGH!

Congratulations on all the losses this week!

McKenziesmomma 03-15-2009 11:29 PM

Heather - Strength training burns calories too! So go for it if that is what you prefer.....not only will you burn calories (more than not doing anything) but you will boost your metabolism because you are building muscle...that muscle burns fat and calories (even when you are sleeping!!!)

All fat does is just sit there...LOL....so go get you some muscle girl!!!!!

You can do it!

Purplefirefly 03-16-2009 12:29 AM

Heather--have you ever tried circuit training? It is basically a way to do strength training and cardio at the same time. It actually burns more calories than most cardio workouts! Jillian Michaels videos are all based on this type of workout and they are killer. NO cardio, dancy type moves at all.

BUT, you can do your own circuits at home, especially since you already have so much stuff. Get together a bunch of strength moves and arrange them by body part maybe...and then you make "circuits" where you repeat a group of exercises 2-3 times each before moving on to the next circuit. you mix in simple cardio moves to keep up your heart rate and lots of strength.

So, maybe you do some crunches, up for some lunges or squats, then jump on your trampoline for 60 seconds or step up and down on high step, then back to your strength moves. You can go old school and throw in some jumping jacks as well.

My favorite sites for strength moves are self.com and shape.com, they catalog all the little workouts from their magazines and you can look at the specific directions and pictures for free!

heather1979 03-16-2009 12:55 AM

Melissa- I know, I just picture gaining muscle but end up being stocky instead of slender, lol. I know I can!! :)

Purple- Actually I really do like circuit. At my gym they have a hydraulic circut, I like it but sometimes I dont feel like im getting the workout I need because the machines really arent very hard. Im probably getting more of a workout than I think though. I also like to use the weight machines and go machine to machine but theres no cardio between so its really not the same thing I guess. I just cant workout at home, I dont know why. Maybe because all my stuff is in the basement and its colder and darker down there. Who knows. I find I get more done if I just go to the gym. Plus getting out of the house ususally helps me to get going. Its just getting out the door at times, haha. I plan to get back to it tommorow. I have 9 days til Vegas. Gym, here I come!!

sprklemajik 03-16-2009 09:56 AM

Alrighty ladies, I'm going out of town for a few days, I'll send eny my weigh in in the morning for the end of this challenge, start of the next, but then I'm heading out to visit with my Mom for a few days. Just a mini-vacation to get my head clear. I'll still be keeping up my exercise and eating.
