hi everyone...yes, crazy weekend on my end made for a quiet 3fc weekend...the rest of you must be in the same boat. :) hope you're all doing well.
nixmom, i actually grew up in bend, but now i live in the willamette valley--small world :) mtiger, congrats on getting through those 5 lbs--you can do it :) est1991, welcome! :) of course you can join in...i've only known everyone a few weeks and it is an amazing source of support and accountability. you sound like you have a good plan...keep us updated! shari, i hope you're feeling better tomorrow. i'm sorry that you're experiencing all this stress...just remember, you're in control of the choices you make tomorrow. even if today didn't stay on plan, you can still be on plan tomorrow. if you can, try and get outside and take a walk...even a short walk can be a great stress buster (at least for me). take care and keep us updated... i'm doing pretty well...but that scale has not budged all week though and i'm a little frustrated by that. i know that i've been seeing consistent loss for a few weeks and so a little lull is to be expected...but it's always frustrating when you're on plan and kicking butt at the gym and the scale is stuck. :( however, i would like to thank the measuring tape for giving me hope. :) my measurements have still been changing even if the scale hasn't...so that's what i'm focusing on...there is change happening...and i'll get there. it's just hard not to be impatient... tomorrow evening i'm going up to portland to see itzhak perlman (my favorite violinist) play with the oregon symphony. i'm thrilled beyond belief--i never thought i'd be able to afford tickets but there was a special and i got a good seat for only 20$!!! it's pretty cool because i never imagined i'd get to see him live. i teach violin for a living so this is sort of like a dream for me :) as far as weed tomorrow goes for me: W i've been at 64 but i'm going to up it a bit...headache and i'm wondering if it has to do with not getting enough water? E tomorrow i have the concert so i'm going to stick with just one workout tomorrow--the weights class and an hour of cardio E my friends and i are going out to eat before the concert so i just need to be sure and make good choices (they're a lot easier to make at home, where i only have good choices to choose from. :) D don't get hung up on the number on the scale...just stay on plan, it's going to work. i can do it...just one more minute of running at a time! i'm not sure if i'm supposed to post here or on the old thread, maybe i'll do both :) |

mtiger - So, how you stay motivated is you stay determined no matter what. And jcatron - sounds like you have just about the same plan - one foot in front of the other. Well, I must be there this morning because I did my 6 AM workout even though I was tired and grumpy. I walked the dog even though it is -25 with the dang wind chill!!!!!!!!! Aargh!!!! I have drank my first of 5 bottles of water. I am sipping on my breakfast which is a fruit smoothie. Shari - Woohoo!! on the gym membership!!! W - 5 blue bottles of water = 110 oz. E - 45 minutes of running E - Lots of fruits and vegetables mixed with protein D - You'll feel better all around if you do!! |
e32 i'm good on cheesesticks and turkey pepperoni for those nights i'm off to bellydance. That and handy veggies that can go in a zippy bag and aren't messy to nibble and drive with.
Hey everyone else! I"m slow, tired, couldn't sleep hardly at all last night. I went thru stages of thinking I couldn't get to sleep when I actually WAS dozing off. Got soup for lunch today, gonna eat a sandwich this morning. Today's our 10 year anniversary so hopefully he'll be home when I get home :) I'll be back to post more later. |

I came out of the weekend with very minimal damage on the scale (woot!) I think cal counting is working really well at the moment. BF thinks I'm obessed. Whatever gets me to the 150's. **** what ever gets me to the 190's at the moment. I want to do personals, but I need to go to work. I PROMISE to come back later and catch up. Clykk- I was joining you for the a.m workout. It wasn't bad but I really enjoy evening workouts. How many years before the kids start school?
e32- great idea about measuring. I threaten to do it but never take the time. Thin- I like your "D". Mind if I borrow? Holy- I hate nights when I'm sleeping but I think I'm not. Man I have the strangest dreams then. Nix- I enjoyed your randmom thoughts! JCat- Thanks for the flames! I did okay today but overate at dinner, which seems to be par for the course for me. But, I got the exercise and wawa in. I'm not following any plans at the moment because I am "diet fatigued". I'm trying to pay attention to my hunger cues and cut back on the sugar. If I could only get my gut and my head to listen to each other... |
195.2 today. Still up a pound, but I'm almost back to the lowest. TOM is arriving any moment, so I'm just trying to maintain. My abs are killing me today!!! Thanks Jillian. She said "no more muffin top."
On that note, my friend and I took new pictures today. When she sends them to me I will post them for you all. It is going so slow that I don't really see it. I've lost about 15 since Sept. Yep, my average is 2-3 pounds a month. I am so jealous of people losing 2 pounds a week. Well, like I've said before, someday this will all be a distant memory. e32- We took pictures, way back at the begining and I also take measurements. I need all opportunities to see change. Thin- You show mom and dad what you are capable of. Clykk- Yeppers!! It is all about routine. Like now. I need to finish posting so I can workout and watch the Bachelor. I changed into workout clothes before dinner, so I'm all set. Just letting food settle. HT- Happy Anniversary, with or without hubby. Nix- I love it when you go of course with randon S***. It always makes me laugh. I forsee 190's in your future. Wait, the cellulite is clouding my vision. Whoops, sorry!!!:wizard: Grazer- the very worst time of the day is the time after I get home and before dinner. I am starving and everything starts to go in my mouth. Hold tight. |
Mindy I am with you. I hate slow going, especially when I feel like I am so close. I only lost 1 pound last month. Oh well, I have to keep exercising and eating healthy for my health!

Hey ladies,
well he made it home, brought me a dozen red roses, then stood me up for dinner....he said we'd go later and sat his butt down to watch Monk. I fell asleep on the floor...I was very disappointed...I couldn't sleep last night thinking about him and what does he do? crash out. bum!!! Dinner was a failure but the rest of the day hasn't been bad. I'm gonna go try to go to bed now.....I'll post again in the morning :) |
Not like it did much good....one flower's already died, and he was off making friends with the vodka bottle when I got up.
I gotta get ready for work. Guess all I can do is focus on me. Captain chewed up $20 worth of gum I bought at Sam's. I was not happy. weed: w: 64 oz e: workout at lunch, rehearsal tonight e: 1500 if possible d: it's not my problem, it's his problem. |

e32~good job taking measurements. My kids lost my tape masure so I haven't done mine in about a year. Thin~Keep moving and getting your WEED in and they will notice :hug: you are doing great! Clykk: dang that rotten scale! Really I am ready to throw mine away too! Grazer: I hate over eating at dinner. It doesn't happen so much anymore for me since I eat mostly salads at night, but there are days that I am too hungry and eat more. Mindy that weight will come off! just keep on following your WEED. Nixie, you crack me up you know that! Got in my workout. This week my gym started the 30 minutes and move off the equipment rule. Sucks for me bcause I signed up for the St pattys day 5k and it takes me 36 minutes minimum to run. I am hopoing to run it in downtown disney anyway. It was a MAD HOUSE this mning. I guess swimsuit season is creeping up on us. EWW W 80 oz E 60 minutes done, may go back for another 30 later on. If the weather is nice I plan on walking the 2 miles to pick Mak up from school E1200 cals. Plan!!! watch what goes in my mouth. 12 days and 3 pounds D watch my cals. keep moving, pull out suitcases and air them out. Pull out summer clothes to wash for vacation (the weather better be nice for me ladies!) |

I have been keeping track of my weekly weight and I noticed that 4 weeks in I was 163. I proceeded to go down to 159 only to find myself back up to 163 at the 8 week mark. Let's see if I can allow myself to release through week 12. Baby, be gone!! I did pretty darn good yesterday except for when I watched Bachelor and ate when I should have been done for the day. just quickly, before i'm off to the gym, there is a report of scale motion! only -.4 since last tuesday...but like we keep telling each other a minus is still a minus. i know i'm working hard, and the measurements are showing that (even if the scale isn't). i highly recommend measuring for anyone who isn't already doing it. it's literal proof of where the change is happening. :)
W: 64+ but still headaches...does anyone do gatorade/propel as part of their water? i'm wondering if i could still be dehydrated, even though i'm drinking what seems to be a lot of water... ? E: back to 2 hours cardio. i just discovered the rowing machine, which is both harder and easier than i expected. :) E: need to head to the store...food supply low D: focus on the visible change and not so much on the scale. (also, it's time to pick up the house a bit too) good luck to everyone today! |
Let me just whine a little, okay?? Finally got to within a pound of lowest and then gain 2 friggin pounds today. How in H*** does that happen? Well TOM is causing the problem I'm sure. And then it was supposed to show up today, but no. Just slap me with a big gain, without the glimmer of hope that it will go away. Okay!! I'm done.

Mindy - it was me. You had the other 1/2 of my monster veggie burritto that was totally of plan last night. AND you ate 1/2 of an ice cream sandwich today. It will come off, I promise. I just worked the ice cream off and bout 50 calories of the 1000 calorie burrito. My apologies. WE will do better tomorrow. I have faith the scale will follow suit. e32- I really probably should use measuring more as a way to see whats happening. Maybe I will get BF to help me tonight during normal lay around in bed time :idea: Clykky ~I dont watch the Bachelor but ALL the other girls (and some guys) at work were raving dramatically about it. Sounds like it may have driven millions of viewers to the fridge simply due to drama. :) Great job on the rest of the day... and the week.. if ya know what I'm saying! Hello lovely ladies!! Week 3 already??? Where did week one and two go?? Okay...i'm going to make this breif and will be back soon to get in some personals. Let me just say this now. I have been slacking soooo much this past month. I was going to get back at it on the first day of the new month and here it is day 3 of the new month. Well...that's okay...just as long as i get up and get started. So, that's what i'm going to do. I woke up this morning feeling good for the first time in at least a month and so now i am going to make use of it. I am getting my workout clothes on and head to my excersize room. Turn on the tv and get (hopefully 30 minutes in) on the elliptical. I am going to watch what i eat and make sure to get plenty of water in today. Today is the start of me getting back on track with excersize and eating. I had my egg whites and low calorie wheat bread for breakfast and am ready to turn over a new leaf. I got alot to do today and there is no time like the present to get started.
So...WEED for Today: W- 64 ounces E- about 1300-1400 ( to start off with) E- 30 minutes on elliptical D- getting back on the wagon and not hateing myself for falling off. It's a new day!!! I did it!!!! I did 30 minutes on the elliptical. And, i think before i head to the school to pick up the kids, i will stop by the park and get another mile in on the track. Maybe two miles if i get there early enough. I got me some new tunes on my new ipod shuffle and am ready to start making some changes in my daily routine to start losing this 20 pounds i put on. I have also already had 3 tall glasses of water, so that is a first for me in a long time too. I'm feeling good about this. HT....all i can say is that at least your hubby did remember and brought you some flowers home. I know how disappointed you were about not going out to dinner. That sucks that he just doesn't get it and how hard you are working to make this marriage work. I'm sorry. |
Nix- How long has it been since you quit? It's been about 4 years for me. I went through the same thing. Now when I think about having a cigarette I start to feel sick. You'll do it! And come back rich!!!!
Lumi- You'll get back on track. I've been struggling with ya. This week I'm back working out; next week who knows? I did a pilates workout this a.m. I didn't eat bad today; but is seems like I ate a lot. I'm feeling ""carbish" because TOM is right around the corner. Okay, I just did something freaky with the computer and now my fonts are wonky. Must be my cue to sign off! |
Crazy night. have a million things to do and no time. Weight is riding the roller coaster path and TOM, the SOB, is standing me up. I need him to get done with his business here so this girl can lose some more poundage. He is now 2 days late. WTH???
Nix- I just ate half a Subway footlong. The rest is in the fridge for tomorrow. Don't touch it. OKAY??? And I gave you back that burrito last night. Flushed it right down the toity. Took about a pound and a half with it. TMI!!! Gotta run. I'll catch up later. |

Good to see you lumifan4ever and especially good to see how you are not beating up on yourself. I hope you had as good a day as the start! Nixmom You're so right about the Bachelor driving many of us to the fridge. I was one of them. It definitely gets me diving into my past with my first true love and examining my present with my DH. Love...crazy making! I got to the gym this morning and did a leg work-out. It felt extra hard after not doing a leg workout in about 2 weeks. I can feel the backs of my legs everytime I get up and walk around. I hate to think how I am going to feel tomorrow and the next day because it's always worse 1 to 2 days after! Treadmill tomorrow at 6 AM. I should get to bed. I smoked WEED all day and night. I am high on the stuff. Good for me!!!!!!! I'll say it again. I really love this WOW thread. I feel the love! And I'm not just saying that because I'm high on WEED!! |

Grazie ~ I have 5 1/2 months under my belt as a quitter. This trip will be the test. I have become a coupon whore. I want to cut them all and use them all. My wallet is not cooperating so far, but I DID get a free movie rental tonight from a REDBOX rental with a promo code. Have you rented from these things? This was my first time and I love it. $1 a night. Free 1 night rental every Wed in the month of March. BF and I just watched The Changling, which happened all of 45 minutes from my house. Creepy. But free creepy! :smug: Been slacking on water by about 1/2 last 2 days. Plan on lots of ice cubes in my jack and diets this weekend to make up for it. ;) Hope you are all doing well. Gonna go start some laundry and may be back! |
Nixmom....do you mean the movie filming took place 45 minutes from your house or the story of the movie happened 45 minutes from your place?? I like coupons too but i buy alot of the store brand items so i don't usually use coupons...but sometimes i do. Yes...plenty of ice in those jacks and diets!! lol.
Clykk...you "crack" me up with your usage of the "WEED" phrase. I was like, Huh??? lol. Great job on getting back to the legs workout. You'll be thanking yourself when it's shorts season again....which is going to be soon to be sure...lol Jeni...don't worry too much about that scale moving. I just know you are doing so much more for your body that the scale moving should be the last thing you are worried about. With all that excersize and running you are doing, i'm sure your body is toning up so nicely that if someone were to guess your weight, it would probably be much lower than it probably is. Keep up the awesome job!!! Mtiger...good job on resisting the other half of that Subway sandwich. That can be a tough thing to do. Those sandwiches are soooo good..you just hate to stop at half a foot. lol. Grazer...thanks for the moral support. I feel like i was right there with you yesterday. I don't really think i ate too bad, but i feel like i did. I have to go shopping today and we were out of just about anything healthy. Okay...so i don't think yesterday was toooo bad. I had scrambled egg whites and low cal wheat toast with one cup of coffee...6 glasses of water, a serving of animal crackers, and rice w/hash for breakfast and lunch. Then for afternoon snack, i had 2 small slices of Totino's cheese pizza, then dinner was a small bowl of honey nut chex and a small bowl of honey nut cherrios with 2% milk. Then i had like 3 totino's pizza rolls that my child had for dinner. So, not too much but it seems like it was alot. Today: WEED: W- 64 ounces E- 1300-1400 calories E- 30 minutes on the elliptical D- just take it one bite at a time, one step at a time and make them each count. |

Happy to report another loss this week....down to 220. Worked out real hard the last 2 nights at rehearsal....to the point of "OMG i'm sooooooooooo glad i'm outside in the rain and cold air cuz i'm all sweaty." Stressed out with DH last couple of days. I woke up too early today but it was cuz i was in bed by 10:30. That's ok. I got an hour with a sober DH and goofy Captain :) guess I'll workout today at lunch....I have no idea what to eat today though.. |

Morning ladies. I didn't post yesterday. OOPS. I started reading a very stupid series of books. Interesting enough, but not recomended by me. My problem is when I start a series I HAVE to finish it. I have a hundred pages left.
Lumi, thanks for saying that. Yes my body is toning in all sorts of ways. I am loving looking at it. you are definately right. I am trying not to get hung up on the scale. In fact I'm not just annoyed i guess. This is my workout week so I am hoping to see some movement. I got a really nice compliment from a guy at work. He is a manager of some sorts who I dont really know and saw him briefly yesterday. He said that my weight loss was really noticable and I was looking really good. (not in a harrasing way either, just nice. ) Anyway I will get to the rest of my post after my workout. |

I am leaving for a girls trip to Laughlin in a couple hours and need to finishing packing & stuff. I did weigh in. Not much change, but a little. Didn’t quite hit onederland but next week for sure. I am taking my laptop (hoping I will have internet access and spending more time just chilling and surfing than gambling ~ economy sucks you know). I will have to do a round of bingo or two (cheap) and play some Super Jackpot Party and Keno. Will be thinking of you all everytime I eat too. Gonna make good choices, and not do the Laughlin Buffet Binge but a controlled feeding of my stealth body. :) Wish I had time for personals. Hope you all have a safe weekend! My workout was awsome today. guess what, I did a 10 minute mile :carrot: I was so pumped. I just did it. I slowed down in my second 10 minutes, I ended up at 1.85 miles. next its 2 miles in 20 minutes :) Ok W 80 oz E 20 minute run/60 minute class/20minute bike E 1200 clean cals. I want to get those last few pounds off. or get close anyway D air out suitcases, finish book, wash summer clothes for disney trip. :) |
I finished the dang book. Yeah, it got really really good at the end and then . . .It ended. Yea, another book is coming out on tuesday, the saga continues.
I also got in another 45 minute workout. Not a strenuous one though. Tommy begged me to take him to BusyTown(its the daycare room at the Y, he normally doesn't like to go), but I did try the row machine. Im not sure if I was doing it right because there wasn't much resistance. Time for lunch. |
Hi All. PMS is brutal this time around. Still no TOM and I feel gross. Lots of salt and junk entering the body. Gotta try to go work out to get this knot out of my lower back.

Forgot to mention that I had a small gain this wwk. I think it was 0.4 or something. Not bad considering all the crud and wine I've been drinking. I guess the exercise is balancing me out

Yesterday was crappy. I was fat, tired, grumpy, no TOM still. I was in no mood to deal with people. I was all the way back up to 198.6. I just don't understand how this body can do that crap. Why can't I just maintain and lose .4 once in a while. The crazy swings really get on my nerves. I feel like I am getting nowhere.
I did 30 min. of WATP and then went for a little run. I did a mile, with no walking. Jeni- Don't know what my time was, but it certainly wasn't 10 min. Good for you. And congrats on the compliment. It's a little strange when they start coming from men. Keep up the good work this weekend. TOM has finally arrived today and I am feeling a little better. Hopefully things will start to look up for me. |
hi everyone...i haven't posted in a few days...things have been a little crazy around here. still no motion on the scale...but the inches are still moving steadily downward, so honestly, i don't really mind at all (for now). :) in the last four weeks my measuring stats are as follows:
bust -3 1/2 inches waist -2 3/4 inches hips -1 1/2 inches i keep telling myself that's not nothing! :) hopefully the scale follows suit in the weeks to come. my boyfriend just got home yesterday (after a month long trip) and he was very surprised, so that was fun! :) for today, i've already got my gym done...need to eat something though, i'm ravenous! house is very clean so i'm feeling good! W 64+ E arms abs 2 hours cardio E need protien... D it's actually working!!!!!! :) |
Hey e32....I was considering focusing on inches lost myself. I just haven't gotten around to it just yet...hang in there ladies. i need some workout time today, but clearing off the dining room table from my stamping stuff in preparation for sewing has been time consuming. After I'm done with the table I get to wash dishes. Nobody else knows how!

Hi my friends. No workout today, I am SORE! plus I had to do a whole lot of shopping for my trip. spent way too much $$$. I will make up for today by working out tomorrow (usually sundays are my off days). Scale doesn't want to budge at all. Oh well workout and eating right will continue. Gotta run!

(also good luck with the winnings) :) clykk--i feel your pain on the screaming legs...the circuit class i'm taking is squats squats squats...aauuugghhhh...and kudos to you for the early morning workouts--wow! thin--i miss you...hope things are going well :) jeni--it makes you feel good when people notice doesn't it? i mean, you can't go around asking everyone if you look good :) but you still want to know if people notice... :) you mentioned the rowing machine--my friend and i have been doing it sometimes and yeah, it starts out feeling easy but it gets harder the longer you go. the key is to keep your back as straight as possible (no hunched shoulders), your core muscles engaged (can you say abs on fire?), and your arms away from your sides (as though you were actually rowing)...this took said machine from a nice break to killer core/arms workout! i don't know if i could do it everyday b/c of some tricky knee pain, but it is good for me a few times a week w/o bothering my knee. on another topic, when do you leave on your trip? hope the preparations go smoothly. lumi--you're working really hard and wow you're working that excercise in well. you'll reap the benefits of your determination sooner than you think. :) mindy--sounds like a good love/hate relationship with jillian...do you recommend her dvds, i'd like to try it. grazer--tom will eventually arrive...hope it's soon (i hate waiting too :() holyterror--yes, (not to sound repetetive) but measuring has made all the difference. if i had been thinking that i've been sooooo good the last 2 weeks with only a -.4 i would be banging my head against the wall. at least, since i've been measuring as well as weighing, i know that there is physical change happening. hope things are going better with your husband...you be sure and take care of you. thanks again everyone for encouraging me and each other. this thread is awesome! |
Thanks e32. I appretiate the help. I am tring to incorporate more things into my workout now that I am getting so close to my goal. I fly out on Sunday the 15th. I am totally excited for the trip!
