OK, gals, I am really feeling like I need to kick this into high gear!! :carrot:

We have 10 days until St. Patty's Day :luck2you: and I think that I need to get myself back on track. So, I am extending a mini-challenge to all of you Irish (or at least Irish for now) chicks. Who wants to join me in losing 3 pounds by St. Patty's Day?

3 more pounds will get me to my St. Patty's goal, so I'm in! I had a blip in the wrong direction yesterday, but now I'm back to ticker weight. I've been OP and exercising, so all will be well, I know. I agree I feel like I gotta take it up another notch to see more progress! I could be choosing better foods (more veggies), so that's where my focus will be for the next few days. Thanks urockmom for the push!

With me, I do not believe it was a lack of cals...though I thought perhaps it was a lack of carbs. The third thing I did was remove the deadline for my weight loss, which means that I'm no longer an official member of the St. Patrick's Day Challenge. I realized that the goal I had set was stressing me out to the point where all I thought about was how I was going to fail the challenge, be the one who lost the least, etc. So I've removed my ticker.

And lastly, I think I drank 4 beers this week. I hadn't had beer at all since early January but I was in a nurturing mood so I bought some light beer and nurtured myself, LOL.

And.....I'm down 4.2 pounds from my Feb 27th weight, which is where I was stuck. What the.....!? Have I created a new diet, the "cheeseburger and beer" diet?! Anyway, thanks a TON to all of you who have encouraged me. Maybe I'll just be a non-official member of the challenge if that's OK?

Edited to add: I haven't updated my normal ticker to show the loss yet as today isn't my official weigh-in day. But the scales were my friend today!

urockmom, I am in! I wont know what I weight until TUesday though, no way am I going on that bugger right now! lol BUt I am in girls, let's keep on trucking! :)

Msperception, yayyyyy on the scale going back down! oh girls, like I said...I have not been on since that day but keeping a journal. Last time I went on I had a pretty good loss and wanted to keep myself in that good place. Oh man, you all are so encouraging, how can we go wrong? :) Let's rock it!

WIndchime, that is so cool! congrats on the loss! YOU did it! It may of been just the switching up you did and a few alterations. I am so happy for you! I am eager yet afraid for my nearing weigh- in,I have switched it up a bit too! yeahhhhh, putting in all kinds of tricks in there....! Keep up the great work and thanks for the feedback! :) Hey wait? you know what? You know how many gals left or felt bad cause they didn't meet their monthly challenges? god! too many! Hugs back atcha! I'm really happy that all you lovely gals responded to my S.O.S. and gave me some good hints on how to break the deadlock. I've been trying to still make healthy choices but be a little more relaxed and it seems to be working. I just ate half a banana and a small handfull of almonds and will go jump on the elliptical in a few minutes so that I can enjoy my small, guilt-free broiled steak for supper later. Have a good rest of the weekend, everyone!

I know I won't make my goal for this challenge either. That is fine. I love meeting everyone here and having such great support.

urockmom: I'm in also. Not sure I can make 3 in 10 days but I will give it my all! My progress has slowed to a crawl but is at least moving again.

I lost 2 lbs again. The same I was last weekend. Up one, down one. Up two, down two. Up one, down two. Now I am 207 and can see the beautiful lights at
ONEDERLAND!

After a nice family weekend I am back to the grind and excited to finally have a Wii Fit to help keep my exercise varied and interesting!! I just got it this morning though, so I will try it out this evening and hopefully make some progress on the scale tomorrow. Only 9 days 'til St. Patty's and I still have 3# to go. I still think I can do it though!

OK, gals, I was away over the weekend but restrained my eating so I am hoping that I am on track for the 3 pounds. I was in a huge rush this morning so I didn't weigh myself but will do so tomorrow.

:bravo: Windchime!!! We are so proud of you for the loss!!! Not to worry about not making the challenge goal. I've been at this for almost 6 months and I haven't made one yet!!!! ;) BUT, each time I have lost weight so I don't get spun up about the timeline and just try to keep on truckin'. :carrot:

Okay, new plan: Be okay with the stalling in weight loss as long as they are ALWAYS followed by a significant WHOOSH!! This is the new plan, because the old one isn't working. Wish me luck!

Long time no type for me huh??? I am sorry, I really have been sick and had alot going on and well at one point I just kinda quit watching my weight all together and felt funny posting at all during that time frame, I am glad to see all you ladies doing well and love the tickers...you ladies rock!! :cheer: I am now back on my program and feeling better ...still no high speed internet, but we are working on it, hope everyone has a wonderful day and I know you will reach your goals, together we can do anything ;)

For me, I have gotten 1.5 of the 3 pounds off and am pushing through to next Tuesday.
(Don't look at ticker. Means nothing. Refuse to change it when I gain weight. :mad: Had uptick that I am trying to get rid of so can get back on to ticker.)

I have a terrible cold which is probably helping since I have no appetite at all. I did fight through and do 40 mins on the elliptical which is the first exercise since I fell last Friday so I am feeling better about that.

Wow! Christian, I'm so glad you're back! I missed you!!

Hattie, no progress. :( I am still at the same weight, but I am still moving forward with eating OP and all. I gotta get some exercise tonight and drink lotsa water. I'll at least FEEL better after that.

For a boost to my morale, I went to JCPenney's yesterday when I had 1/2 hour to kill and tried on clothes. I actually fit comfortably into a size 14 in 2 different brands of jeans! I started at size 18, so that was a pleasant surprise! I think it did help me to refocus on my progress. I may not weigh myself for a couple days and see what happens. I feel better now than I did yesterday, so that's good.

I have been feeling really cruddy today with the cold and have been dragging myself around. I really hate being sick and this is the first cold I have had this winter. I am just a big :bb: DH is back home from travel this evening so I don't have to make dinner or cart kids around to practice so I am going to climb under my blanket with my book.

I am still @ 205. Eating OP and exercising.

I did some cleaning in the dreaded Attic today. Just a little. I am going to take it a little at a time otherwise it will overwhelm me. It is one of my goals for this year...to clean out closets and the attic. Can't stand the clutter anymore. I guess it goes well with the cleaning of the clutter on my body.

We only have a few more days left of this challenge. Let's all post how we did on St. Pat's day.

Christian...did you see that we are also over on the March challenge with Fullsteam? Should we just continue on there or does someone want to do a bunny one? I don't know where Lene went...but I miss her! I wish Luckymom would come back also.

Sass---I am right there with you. I think this is the first challenge that I have really, utterly failed. I hope for good news in the morning but since TOM hit yesterday, I doubt there will be a happy scale.

I am looking forward to seeing some inspirational success stories in the morning to :kickbutt: me forward and downward.

Still really sick with this cold so I don't really want to eat then I get hungry, get food, take two bites and shove it away. If I could have my stomach work like this all the time without otherwise feeling so incredibly cruddy this could work for me. :D

urockmom I'm SO sorry to hear you still aren't feeling well! That's gotta stink. Like you said, too bad you can't keep the reduced appetite WITHOUT all the junk that goes with it. I hope you get well soon!

I am not calling this challenge a failure YET. We'll see what the scale says tomorrow and go from there. I may have gotten a couple pounds off at least! I guess that's better then nothing. I am SUPER glad for the sunny days we've had lately. It has really helped me to feel energized and excited for spring and summer. Then I remember Summer=Wearing Swim Suit in public and I'm VERY motivated to keep moving forward!!! LOL

Alrighty...today is the day! I weigh 176.8 (started at 179.6 with a goal of 174). I obviously did not reach goal, but I moved in the right direction. So, I can cope with that. I hope everyone met with success of one kind or another on this challenge! Happy St. Patrick's Day to you all!!

OK I made some progress. I had a major set back. Bad SASS! I stopped taking my bp pills for 3 weeks and I swelled up like a water balloon...I've dropped 3 out of 10lbs in this challenge. Whew!

It's also very good to see you too Ms. Perception!

OK All~ My start weight was 224
Goal weight was 215 Current weight 219
So I lost 5lbs and was 4 lbs short But I am still proud of the 5 lbs I lost.....................And I can not wait to lose another 5 LOL!
I did not quite make my goal number for the challenge but I am still satisfied with the 5lbs I lost....I AM PROUD OF EVERYONE ELSE WHO LOST!!! YOU ALL DONE GREAT!
