  • FB and others- I too weigh daily and see those fluctuations. Yesterday I was up 1.5, probably due to sore muscles and pizza. Even though I ate within my calories, sodium causes water retention. Also, incase you've never heard this. When muscles are worked hard, and they are sore, they require water to repair them, hence a slight gain.

    I had been stalled most of Nov. and all of Dec. Got back to measuring and logging every morsel and have started losing again. It really is work, but well worth it.

  • Morning, all. Still the same today as yesterday (-0.6 from SW).

    On the subject of learning from daily fluctuations, which I do track, another good one to track is your TOM. I keep all my weight/workout/eating/water notes in a checkbook sized calendar with a month on each page. I also track TOM there just by marking a dot in the corner for each day. Mine is pretty regular if I keep my diet regular, so I can see when it's coming up, and I don't freak when the scale starts to creep up a few days before. I like the little calendar because, opened to the current month's page, it slides right under my computer keyboard. Out of the way, but the corner peaking out reminds me to keep the record updated.

    Not a surprise, ate off plan yesterday. Nothing to blame but myself for this one!

  • I'm jumping back in here as I've crept up a bit and I need to be accountable.

    After Christmas I amazingly had lost 1.5 over Christmas week (still no idea how) and got down to 135.4. But it's been creeping back up and this morning I was 137 on the dot.

    My boobs have been shrinking as I am weaning the little one, so I must be putting on weight elsewhere. I have changed my maintenance range from 135-140 to 132-137 as I don't really want to get back up to 140 before I start to take myself in hand.
