But don't get nervous girls! Last time I saw under 160, I saw 167 3 days later! But I'm really going to keep up with this!!! No drinking this weekend!!! I really don't want to see over 160 until I'm having another baby!!!!

FB - Thanks for the info on the weight lifting. I've been keeping up with the C25k (Week 5 day 2 complete!) but doing lots of different stuff with the weights afterwards. Must be helping! THANK YOU!

Enygirl 10-23-2008 09:47 AM

Jamie - when are you planning on having another baby? If you keep working at it you could be at goal and then you'd NEVER see #160 again!!! :)

I NEVER want to see #200 again, whether having a baby or not! When I got pregnant w/ DD I was #203, and was #231 at delivery.... I really NEVER EVER EVER want to see those numbers agaiN!!!!!

JamieJo 10-23-2008 09:54 AM

I gained almost 60 pounds with my little girl. Was over 200 when I had her:( So I'm sure I will see 160 again but I have a goal of not going over 175 with the next one. When? We'll...who knows. Been having some trouble, well, alot of trouble, getting it to work again. Had TONS of testing done and there is NOTHING wrong with me. One doc I saw told me that I should try getting down to a "healthy" BMI before I try again...which was frustrating because many people with higher weights then me are successful, but since they couldn't find anything else wrong, I'm giving that a go. ;) BUT, now my DH is being deployed so I think I'm going to wait until he gets back...Spring 2010 :( Which is ok!

yaay! Losing that vacation/visit home bingeing already! Not quite back under 190, but close......:carrot:

Eny--what state are you looking to move to? Still somewhere in the midwest? Let me know if you come out to CA, anywhere close to San Jose--would love to hook up with some exercise "play dates" or whatever.......

Enygirl 10-23-2008 01:17 PM

mod - I'm looking anywhere outside of Michigan. CA would be cool, except I've hear the cost of living is really high.

JamieJo 10-23-2008 01:34 PM

Wisconsin is a good place to live! :)

Yay on you! I am so happy for you and glad you're doing the weights. You'll adore the way it morphs your body and love the changes on the scale.

As for me, the scale is still sliding down. I called the doctor and she's not at all worried as I had my thyroid tested in the last few months, just told me to enjoy it while it lasts. She doesn't feel it will continue on much longer.

Worried, I also went to the gym to have my BF% measured and I'm not loosing lean muscle mass, have gained a bit - so I don't know what's going on! No one seems to think it's harmful. The gym I went to has a lot of programs for people to lose weight, helps with diet and nutrition (although I've never used their programs). The owner, who has seen it all, told me it occasionally happens and also said to enjoy it while it lasts BC it will certainly slow down soon. He said he'd be concerned if I were losing lean muscle mass, that it's a fluke.

I'm in a local Biggest Losers contest and had the first one week weigh in last night. Oh my gawd, you should have seen their faces, the shock.

JamieJo 10-23-2008 02:14 PM

FB - what are you down to now? Or did you already win this challange and are too scared to tell us?? :) haha!

FB 10-24-2008 10:49 AM

Great job peoples!

Oh lawdy, you know - I can easily reconcile to the fact that my weight will remain the same or go up despite my best efforts, but the loss this week is hard to swallow, especially with my wicked PMS.

Anyhow, scale still moving on down! Jamie, I may take your advice, a Big Mac or 10 might be in order for me today.

JamieJo 10-24-2008 10:54 AM

FB - How come we haven't seen a number update then?? :) tee hee! That sure is nice of you to give another one of us a chance to win. ;)

GREAT JOB!

FB 10-24-2008 10:57 AM

Jamie - I haven't updated the number because I worry someone would think this kind of loss is normal or should be supported. Since the board is about healthy weight loss and mine has been a fluke this past week I'd hate to unwittingly encourage someone to drop their intake too low for similar results. What do you think?

Besides, yeah - someone else should win!

JamieJo 10-24-2008 11:03 AM

haha! You are right FB! I should have listened to you yesterday. I was a little bad last night. I had chicken strips from my favorite place last night. BUT, I only had half of them and put the rest in a to-go bag right away. BUT, I ate them already this morning! haha! That's okay...I still stayed at points yesterday and will be on points today! But the scale was up .5 this morning... But oh well. I think it will be back down once I....yeah um....how do I put this??? ...get rid of yesterdays food intake. ;) It was worth it. I am really expecting to see 158 by Sunday.

I think this website is about reality. I don't think AT ALL you should feel like you shouldn't posts. Besides, what does winning mean if it's only because you didn't post? I have no thought of ever winning. It's not impossible, but I started with challenge 25, and they've all been won in 9 days or less. I take a month to lose 5 pounds, lately it's been 4 pounds. Winning isn't in the cards, so to speak. So what? It's still daily encouragement and focus.

FB 10-24-2008 01:35 PM

Julie -yes, you're absolutely right. Thank you. If I would have had a huge gain, I would have reported that. Thanks again for the head check, you've given me a couple in the last few days! :)

Congrats on the loss! :congrat:

modcat44 10-24-2008 02:08 PM

Congrats again FB! I was going to post a big (for me) loss--guess I'll just start the next one with it. But I did lose 3 lbs on this one!

JulieJ08 10-24-2008 02:26 PM

FB, that's fantastic! Seriously, if I have to lose slow, at least y'all can do your part and lose fast so I can enjoy it vicariously :D.

Way to go :carrot:
