Push-up Challenge : Week 1-2

  • Well, I did the exhaustion test and just barely managed the 16... I was half thinking "YES!" and half thinking "Oh ----, this week is going to be hard!!" We'll see how it goes but considering I'm 1/3 done with the program and 16 push-ups nearly kills me, I have a feeling I'm going to be repeating a few of these weeks coming up.

    How's everyone else doing??
  • Im only on day 2 week 2.. which is still have to do today. im still just living at a friends until my stuff gets here so havn't really been able to get a routine going yet. By next monday I should be all set to full force my way through it all. slowly.. but surely..

    I find that i need to make sure to let nomore than one day go between each new level. The strength disapears as soon as i stop!

    I've been doing the pushup challenge, but didn't see this thread until today.

    I'm on day 2 week 2 which I'll do tonight.

    I'm glad to see that several of you use the "girly" pushups because that is what I use.

  • Fauxtini you're right about the strength thing--at first I was like, wow, I could only do 5 and now I'm doing 10, look at me, I'm so strong! Then I wait 4 days between sets and suddenly I'm struggling for 5 again.

    Very cruel how quickly this strength disappears.
  • Okay I just started Week 3. I realized that I think I've had my arms too close together. I spread them wider and it was much easier.

    That said, I can't fathom doing 100 in 3.5 more weeks. This plus the 30 Day Shred is killing my shoulders. Probably in a good way but I've been unbelievably sore this last week.

    This list is so quiet! Did the rest of you quit? I hope not!
  • Hey! Im here.. but I have been slacking in the push up department. I think I will be a bit behind. but I'm still just craching at a friends. Im gonna get back into it full force on Monday when I'm in my new apartment. I will start at week 2 again I think.
    It seems like there's only 2 or 3 of us active at the moment. That makes me sad hehe
  • make that one more---yup i'm joining --- anyway--- i can barely do the few pushups that are on the shred since im doing that too----

    anyway i'm doing the girlie pushups with the push up bars from target--- they are helping me to get them ---

    i'll start with the initial test and do day one today--

    at least by doing this challenge i can finally learn to do some proper pushups by the time i'm done---

  • i need to restart this thing againtoo. moving and traveling around has really messed my schedule up. i willjust keep this thread going since alot of people are starting it too.

    Im gonna start week 2 day 1 tomorrow!
