Hey Bootcamp Girls,
I'm just popping in real quick--our houseguests arrived yesterday, so we're going to be busy. Anyway, I fell off plan a bit and gained 2 lbs! I think it was probably just water weight, but I moved my scale out of the guest bathroom, so I can't check it until I find a better place to weigh myself. Enygirl-sorry things are rough with your man. Relationships are tough. If you need to vent, we're here. Hang in there everyone, and I'll try to check in again this week. |
Things on the home front are better. Thanks for the listening ears girls! I'm down another pound today - which makes me happy :) I'm getting closer and closer to the July goal! :yay:
I'm also working on the list for August bootcamp... if any of you have suggestions that have helped keep you on track let me know and I'll incorporate them into the guidelines/rules. We're all in this together! There's only 9 more days left in July! Let's WORK HARD to get to our goals!!! :D |

TOM decided to shw up today.. and along cam #2 of water weight with him! UGH! My goal for the week of TOM is to lose a little bit from last week. I'm sure I'm not going to get the #1.2 from Monday off - But a little will help! I'm SO close to my July goal - I CAN'T let TOM stand in my way! I'm Aslo VERY HAPPY to announce that I got a raise at work today! :) :yay: :cheer: :cheer2: :woohoo: |
I'm BACK from my trip, it was 6 days. Did fairly well but it's hard when traveling. I think I'm just going to have to block out travel weeks as holding ground doing more minimum fitness (at least 30 min a day though) and not over indulging eating out as much. I exercised three times in pools, did my BFL program of 20 min of hard cardio just jogging around, I also did some push ups, tricep dips etc on benches and in hotel rooms, plus walking. I'm beat right now but tomorrow I'll get back to my journaling and will grocery shop. One thing I finally learned is that I did BAD the first few days of returning from business trips, with nothing in my fridge, now I save Lean Cuisine and veggies so at least I have SOMETHING and dont' order pizza when exhausted and hungry, and believe me I can devour an entire pizza with my boy (oh how I miss those days of my teens and early 20s when I "tried" to gain weight all the time, could eat ANYTHING)...

Yes, looks like it's been SLOW here! It's a busy time of year though... Looks like you are doing WELL, congrats on losing weight! I'm keeping my weight loss mind set and at least I'm not gaining on trips, and I can see my patterns, it's HARD when you travel a lot, hard enough to do this at home. But I'm getting a system down.... what to bring (need to modify what I ate/didn't eat), where to eat, how to exercise (I love my pool workouts on the road) and ok, a few cheats since life is too short! It's going to take a lot of focus though to get the last 10 lbs off, and lots of cardio, this BFL doesn't have enough. The NEW local gym opened while I was gone! I have a four year old little boy, and they have childcare, none other out here did so YEAH. I'm not into lifting weights in public, but I'll do my cardio there at least. Will give me a change of scenery. I get bored... How's everyone else? Are we going to do an Aug bootcamp? I'm SERIOUS about Aug, other then a 1-2 day trip I'll be HERE. What a summer!

I'm working on the guidelines for August right now! :) I'm hoping that it'll be a great month for us! I know that Summer is SO busy! I need to get my butt in gear.. but they call it the lazy days of summer :sunny: for a reason! I'm getting in about 2 work outs a week right now - which is NO WHERE NEAR ENOUGH! But my eating is COMPLETELY on plan! I plan for "cheats" so that I'm still with in my cal range. :)

Hi Ladies, I was down to 155 last weigh in. I have no idea what I'm at now. I had a busy week filled with some bad food choices. My exercise was still on target though. I really hope I get a big boost of motivation. I lost my oomph this last week. Hopefully, just by posting I'll start getting my act together. I haven't been drinking my water like I should. I'm PMSing big time. Ya know the kind where you want to yell, scream, hit something and be held all the same time? (Maybe that's just me.)
Horsey, glad you are back. I think just maintaining during trips is a good idea. Enjoy your new gym! Eny, congratulations on the raise! You sound like you are doing well with your eating plan. Great job! Momma, where are you? I know you were getting into a slump. I hope you have found your way out. Darby, I hope you are having a nice time with your company. |
Ok girls - we're down to the last 5 days of this month! Where are all of you in your journey to goal??
I'm #1.5 away from my original July goal, and honestly - I don't think i'm going to hit it in the midst of TOM being here! #1.5 is alot for me in less then a week! But I'm going to push these last 5 days HARD CORE!!! How close is everyone else to their goal??? Start thinking of your goal for August! It's going to be key in the August bootcamp (it doesn't HAVE to be pounds either!) |
My goal for Aug bootcamp is to get a routine down again, 3-4x per week cardio, 3x week weights. I LOVE weight training and building muscle, so my goal is more to tone up then lose weight - although of course I want to keep losing the belly fat (my problem area). If I could lose 3-4 lbs in Aug that would be fine with me. A slow 1 lb loss per week - but this for me requires major exercise and clean eating I know.

We dropped off our company at the airport this morning, so life can get back to normal. I will weigh in tomorrow and write all my goals, etc. tomorrow. I will say that I am sure I gained weight, because it was a non-stop food fest around here. You guys are doing great!! Have a great Saturday! |

Hey ...here I am ladies!!!:D I missed you guys!!!! LOL....I had a huge test today. It was so I could apply for my teaching license...I have been studing for about 8 weeks and somewhere around Wednesday I freaked out!!! I logged onto one of the threads and posted that I wouldn't be back till Sat or Sun. My test was today! It is over with. I feel pretty confident...but usually when I think I do well I don't! I will know in 4-6 weeks. Anyways...so I have been binging for 3 days (stress related) and I also haven't exercised any for 3 days! I have probably gained 3-4 lbs...but its okay! Its over and done with....its time to get back on track I thought I posted somewhere I was changing my July goal from 241 to 238...I hate to be wishy washy but with this gain I think I should stick with my original goal of 241 and I may not hit that now!! Tomorrow I start fresh and I'm also going to start the South Beach diet in efforts to lower my carb intake! I'm excited! My weight is probably sitting at 246 right now...so I gotta lose 5 lbs by the 31st...its doable ....but I am gonna have to work! Eny - lookin forward to that August thread! |
Me too, looking forward to Aug thread. Tomorrow is Sun, my "rest" day but I'm going to do some cardio (30-45 min). Then back to my BFL program starting Monday like I never took time off. I'm going to have to just block out my travel weeks (every other month) and try to maintain... No travel for me in Aug other then a few days so I'm going to push my BFL program and this Bootcamp! Can anyone even believe it's going to be Aug though? How time flies, kids will be going back to school soon... and fall is just around the corner. How can we slip in some more summer fun?

Well there you are Momma! I hope you did well on the test. I know when I have something big like that it really stresses me out too. As far as South Beach goes, I really like the plan. I fell off the wagon this week but from Feb. until now I was really doing well. South Beach is the only plan I have ever been able to stick too for that length of time and trust me I have done many diets.
Eny, I weighed myself this morning I was up to 156 (was 155 last week) I know TOM is looming over me and I had my absolute worst week of eating since starting SB. My official weigh-ins are on Mondays so I'll see what the scale says tomorrow. I need to eat perfectly clean the next couple of days and am going to exercise 1 hour a day. Next weekend I start my vacation so I need to regain my focus before I go. I really want to give some hard thought for my goal for Aug. so I will report back to you guys. Horsey, I like your goal for Aug. It will be much easier to stay on schedule with your workouts when your not travelling. I'm going away in Aug and am already freaking out about how I'm going to stay on course. Darby, I hope your weigh in goes well today and look forward to seeing your goals for Aug. lene - I can't find alot of information on the diet...I went to the SBD website and some of their pages won't load....I get that phase I is two weeks long....but how many carbs a day are you allowed to eat...I have the list of foods allowed on phase I...is there any calorie reqirements I should follow
How is phase II different from phase I? I know you can eat more carbs...but how much more and what kinds? and how is phase III different...what can you eat and when do you start doing it? |
