HiHi, This challenge sounds like a great idea:) I´m only 148 pounds and I´m losing the weight fairly slowly so I probably wont win, but it´s a great motivation!:D Good luck to everyone;) We can do this!

So far it´s been going great and I´ve been really motivated and happy with my progress, but I just found out that next friday there will be a dinnerparty were the students that are graduating will be eating with the teachers. And the only things that will be served will be pizza and cake!:dizzy: I´m not sure what to do, normally If I would be advising someone I would just say "get a small slice of each and work out extra hard and eat only healthy low-calorie food the rest of the day and just count it towards your daily calories, but the fact is I don´t want the pizza or the cake, I would rather have a satifying 400 calorie delicious healthy meal that I make myself than one slice of greasy pizza for the same amount of calories. I just don´t think it´s worth the calories! so I don´t know what to do :( I can´t just go there and sit down with all the students and not eat, I just don´t know how I would explain that since noone knows about my new healthy lifestyle and my friends love to eat and would think I was being ridiculous!

sorry this was a long post I´m just really confused!

All advice will be greatly appreciated!

Well, I would eat a lovely, healthy meal at home then go to the party and when I sat down and didn't have any food in front me I'd just say, "my tummy is feeling off, just getting over a cold, I don't want to tempt fate," and just smile. Everybody understands when you're feeling off and don't want to eat and then you won't have to do any explaining about your choices. I have done this lots of times to avoid eating junk when there just weren't any options I thought were reasonable. :)

Jospehine: thanks so much for the compliment, my face is still a little chubby but it will slim down! nearly time for a haircut again... its growing about an inch a month at the minute i dunno whats going on!!


haleygirl: i know! im the same usually at least 4 pounds from TOM but this is a good sign...

exerciserocks: personally i would take something for me to eat.. if people quesiton you, mention your holiday and the fact you wanna be in tip top shape... let me know how you like bulgaria.. ive considered it for next years holiday its meant to be beautiful but not very hot so i hear?



wowzers ladies keep on keeping on! i see your numbers dropping every time we do this challenge and its so good to see!! i fear i may never see onederland! im dying to get there!! COME ON BODY!!! BURN THAT FAT!!


on a side note, saw my doctor today, shes super pleased with my progress and also wished me lots of luck and told me to keep up the good work, so nice to hear that isnt it? she also told me that BMI is a crock! there you have it!

Wow ladies that was to fast...Maybe because I just got back on track yesterday :lol: Although I didn't do to hot yesterday :( I was starving by bedtime and couldn't sleep until I ate. I stayed off of the scale this morning knowing I would be up because of the late night snacking

Had lunch with my mom and ate too much. My mother can be "difficult", and she tends to make me want to eat. Then she criticizes me for eating. It's a vicious circle. Anyway, I should be ok for the rest of the evening and back on track tomorrow.

I saw your post about the fires on the last thread, I just forgot to reply what with changing threads and all! My brother's house is fine, so no need to add his name! I feel so bad for those people who lost their homes, particularly since it was arson. That someone would deliberately do this to people is beyond me! I'm glad you and yours are safe!

Good morning all! Losing for another - I'm so glad you and your family are ok, how scary. We haven't heard much about the fires here in NC but what kind of person thinks it's a good idea to do something like that?

I'm scared to post this as I'm certain it'll be back up tomorrow but after stepping on 3 times this morning it said 221.6 which is 4.2 down from yesterday. It's around that TOM and this is my first month off of the pill in about 10 years so who knows what my body is doing!!

Ryn - I have a Health-o-meter digital scale that I like a lot that goes in increments of 0.2 lbs. It was only like $20 at Wal-Mart too.

So, TOM did arrive today, but I'm down 2 from yesterday anyway!

Me too but mine is a cheaper brand sunbeam...was like 10-15 bucks. It also has a easy to find 9 volt battery when it needs replacing. This was a replacement for a 40.00 scale that did just about everything and was really cool looking but had a battery that I couldn't find ANYWHERE :lol:

I'm sorry kittycat40. Hang in there and do your best. Realize that overeating for the rest of the day is not going to change your mom and it's definitely not going to help you!

Of course, that's easy for me to say, as I WAY overdid it yesterday after lunch with my mother. But I'm back on it today! And that's what you need to do. Just jump back into it and know you're strong! Don't let her undo all your good work!

Alas I knew my dramatic drop was too good to be true. I was 223 this morning. It's okay, I'm still slowly but surely moving down the scale even with my ups and downs. Seeing that lower number is just motivating me to get out of the 220s quicker!

Yes, I am very happy, especially because I'm going to dominican republic in 3 weeks,, and I just had to have the license before that.. So this morning I found one last minute time.. And everything just went well with no mistakes.. So I got it, The person that controlled me was great to.. He was very nice and we spoke a lot. The others that I drove with didn't want to talk at all.. so they kinda scared me ... Now I am going to go and workout to lose one more pound until tomorrow.. (at least I will try :))
